Bancroft s School e-bulletin 5 October 2015 News and Notices The Bancroft s team was drawn away to Chigwell in their opening group match of this year s Hans Woyda maths competition and put up a solid performance in beating an international Chigwell team by 36 points to 15. All players - Peter Andreev, Sayon Uthayakumar, Soumya Krishna Kumar and Alex Yan - contributed, establishing a sound platform from which to progress in subsequent matches. She won the 16/17yrs 200m Freestyle with a time of Amrita is now ranked No 1 in England for her age group and No 6 in the open age group female; this is a fantastic achievement, very well done. Naomi Doye (U6W) is another Bancroftian who is progressing up the ranks of her chosen sport. She has recently achieved some great rowing results outside of school. She rowed in the British Championships for her club, Globe, in the U18 category in an 8-man boat and they won a Silver medal. In November, Naomi is taking part in GB trials; we wish her the best of luck in these.
