Report time to turn in all card money on April 31 st is 7:00pm. in the Boyd Athletic Office. 8. HUDL - Each athlete will have access to our online video provider HUDL.com. We will create accounts for the athletes so they can review their game video. You can create highlights for your players and those highlights to family members, recruiters, etc. 9. Recruiting - We are in constant communication with recruiters about potential college athletes that we have. We will highlights and make phone calls about potential recruits on behalf of our players. We ask that the players/parents create their own highlights through HUDL. Once a college expresses interest in a player, I encourage parents to keep the communication with the college open. I will be doing the same. 10. Offseason - Once the season is completed, we begin powerlifting workouts in the mornings at 6:45am. All freshmen will move to 1 st period athletics for the second semester so that they can participate as well. 11. Training room procedures - The training room opens at 6:15am and again right after school and after practice. We expect our players to be in treatment as needed. Players are required to be at practice at normal time. The training room is not an excuse to miss practice. 12. Social Media - We need your help ensuring that our players are representing you and our program in the appropriate fashion. No foul language, inappropriate pictures, etc.
5 13. Co-Curricular Contract - We expect our players to represent us in the correct fashion both in and out of school. This means no alcohol or drug use or associating with individuals that do. (attendance at parties where alcohol or drugs are present). All students participating in athletics are subject to random drug testing. 14. College Visits - We prefer all college visits to occur the weekend of our open week (October 5th), or on Friday s after our Thursday night games on Sept. 13 th or October 18 th. We need our players in practice every day. 15. Nutrition: Our players need to drink plenty of water, get plenty of sleep (8+ hours each night), eat plenty of healthy calories (protein, carbs, low sugar). I cannot recommend supplements. However, there are good products out there that provide extra protein for our kids. I recommend visiting with your doctor about protein supplements that will help your child accomplish his weight goals.
