1 TOOHEYS NEW GROUP TEN PRESIDENTS MESSAGE Welcome to Wade Park for the 2010 TOOHEYS NEW GROUP 10 GRAND FINAL. I am sure every one will have an enjoyable day of rugby league hopefully in good weather conditions. The first game today will be the under 18s match between Bathurst Panthers and Cowra Magpies and as always we should get a good look at the talent that will progress into the higher divisions over the next two years I wish both teams all the best in today s decided. The second game today will be the First Division grand final between Bathurst St Patrick s and Mudgee Dragons and this is sure to a very entertaining and hard fought. The third match is the main game Premier League grand final between Orange Cyms and the Mudgee Dragons and is sure to be a great game of football with both clubs at full strength. I would like to wish all the teams competing today all the best and good luck. I would like to thank TOOHEYS for there continued support and sponsorship for the group 10 competition (Brian King, John O Neill and Andrew Smith) thanks very much. Also I would like to thank all our program and player of the year sponsors its great to have you on board and thanks very much. To all the award winners from the player of the year night held on Friday 27th August congratulations and thanks for a great season. To all the teams and clubs competing in the Grand Final today all the best and I am sure we will some very entertaining and exciting games today. 16 TOOHEYS NEW GROUP 10 RUGBY LEAGUE 2010 FINALS SERIES NATIONAL CODE OF CONDUCT General Principles In the event of a drawn game, extra time is golden point. Clubs are reminded of the requirement to nominate and play players in their assigned numbers. If a player is in the program as number 10, then he must wear number 10. Participants in the game of Rugby League include players, parents, spectators, coaches, referees and officials. Every participant should: Discourage all instances of unsportsmanlike behaviour, foul or illegal play, or acts of violence, both on and off the field. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability/ disability, sexual orientation, cultural background or religion. Condemn the use of recreational and performance- enhancing drugs and doping practices; their use endangers the health of players and is contrary to the concept of fair play. IMPORTANT every person who attends a Rugby League match does so with the permission and license of the home club and/or league. Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in penalties up to and including a fine, loss of team match points and suspension. MEN OF LEAGUE MID WEST Following a successful first meeting an initial steering committee was elected from some 60 odd members in attendance, some old members & some new ones 46 new members joined on the night which was sensational. Further members to the committee will be added in up coming months but we currently have a good cross section from the clubs & towns. Following the meeting we had a first fundraiser for veteran Bruce Sleepy Smith around 120 ex players, officials, supporters wives & girlfriends attended & a mega Raffle & Auction took place along with lots of footy tales from the past.
