Rare parasites were Ichthyocotylurus platycephalus (Platyhelminthes: Strigeidae), Dactylogyrus falcatus (Platyhelminthes: Dactylogyridae), Piscicola geometra (Annelida: Piscicolidae), Acanthocephalus lucii (Acanthocephala: Echinorhynchidae), and Posthodiplostomum cuticola (Platyhelminthes: Diplostomidae). All other parasites occurred sporadically: Paracoenogonimus ovatus (Platyhelminthes: Cyathocotylidae), A. anguillae (Acanthocephala: Echinorhynchidae), Posthodiplostomum brevicaudatum (Platyhelminthes: Diplostomidae), Bucephalus polymorphus (Platyhelminthes: Bucephalidae), Argulus foliaceus (Arthropoda: Argulidae), Ligula intestinalis (Platyhelminthes: Diphyllobothriidae), and Khawia sinensis (Platyhelminthes: Caryophyllaeidae). Philometra ovata (Nematoda: Philometridae) occurred sporadically and only in two sites (BWC and AWC) while Tracheliastes maculatus (Arthropoda: Lernaeopodidae) occurred sporadically in one site only (AWC).
