1 ZAMBEZI ALL SPECIES 2018 RULES, REGULATIONS AND ENTRY FORM 3RD AUGUST 2018 TO 6TH AUGUST 2018 FARMERS DAY WEEKEND Entries are open. Entry fees are: Adult ZMW Junior (U15) ZMW Non-participants ZMW Your entry fee includes your Competition Fee, Zambia Sports Council Competition Levy of K50 per entrant, Camping Fees, Boat Launching, Vehicle and Trailer Parking, Evening Meal on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th, Breakfast on Saturday 4th, Sunday 5th and Monday 6th. Your entry fee does not include any bar drinks obtained from Gwabi or elsewhere. If you wish to stay in a chalet then please contact Gwabi directly. Each team must comprise no more than four(4) adult anglers, three (3) adult anglers and up to two(2) juniors, two(2) adult anglers and up to three(3) juniors or one (1) adult angler and up to four(4) juniors. For the purpose of this Tournament a junior is defined as 15 years and younger on the 1st of January Tournament Times are: Friday 3rd August Tournament Registration, Practice Day and Captains Meeting (at 1800 hrs). Only Team Captains are to attend the Captains Meeting. Tournament Day One Saturday 4th August Start off at 0600 hrs, return 1730 hrs. Tournament Day Two Sunday 5th August Start off at 0600 hrs, return 1730 hrs. Tournament Day Three Monday 6th August Start off at 0600 hrs, return 1200 hrs Prize giving at 1500 hrs. Penalties: Reporting after daily close time: 2 pts per minute up to 20 minutes, thereafter disqualification from that particular Tournament Day. Fishing outside the Competition limits: Disqualification from the Tournament. Forming a wake within the No Wake Zone of Gwabi River Lodge: 10 point penalty (this includes morning start off). Going ashore on any island over which Zimbabwe has a claim, or going ashore on mainland Zimbabwe: Disqualification from Tournament (note: except in the instance of break down or emergency). Placing salt or game blocks in the river prior to, or during, the Tournament: Disqualification from the Tournament.

2 Failing to collect your boat tag prior to the daily Tournament Start, or failing to return the Tag at the daily Tournament end: 10 point penalty on total score per offence. Underweight Fish submitted for weigh in: 10 point Penalty per fish. Agreed. Limits and Boundaries: Competition boundaries are 10kms up the Kafue river, down to the base of Tsika Island Lodge and up to Chirundu bridge on the Zambezi River. After Nyakasanga all anglers MUST remain in Zambian waters. Fish species are defined as follows- Bream, Chessa, Nkupi, Tigerfish, Bottlenose, Cornish Jack, Imberi, Blunt-tooth Catfish, Sharp-tooth Catfish, Electric Barbel, Citharine, Barbs, Labeos etc. Limits are as follows per day for the following species Bream (5), 20 points per kg Chessa (5), 10 points per kg Nkupi (3), 10 points per kg Squeaker (5), 20 points per kg Imberi (5), 20 points per kg Limits 2 per day for the following species Tigerfish as per photo against marker stick Any combination of Vundu, Sharptooth catfish, blunt tooth catfish, electric barbell 10 points per fish plus 1 point per cm (suggest you give each boat a measuring tape). Limits are 1 per day for the following species Any species not mentioned above (Citharine, barbs, labeo etc.) 5 pts per fish Minimum Competition size limits are Bream 100g, Chessa 100g, Nkupi 250g, Tiger 12 inches, Vundu 24 inches, Cornish 24 inches, Sharptooth and Blunt-tooth catfish 12 inches, Electric barbel no limit. NO DEAD FISH are allowed in to weigh bay. All small fish brought back in live well to be weighed or measured. Gwabi will provide measuring tape. All boats are required to start off at Gwabi. Fishing in Zimbabwe Waters. The Zambezi All Species 2018 committee hereby advises ALL competitors and Captains against fishing within Zimbabwe territorial waters anywhere within the Competition limits and at any time. The Zimbabwe Authorities may capture Zambianregistered vessels that encroach into their Territorial Waters, and their occupants, with heavy fines ($2,000 per person) and all equipment confiscation. The Zambezi All Species 2018 Competition Committee accepts absolutely no responsibility or liability for any competing team that ignores this advice and is captured, arrested or fined by the Zimbabwe Authorities.

3 If you choose to fish within Zimbabwe Territorial Waters than you do so entirely at your own risk. The Tournament Scoring System will be made available to each Captain along with measuring tapes for Points only fish. It is the Captains responsibility to understand and implement correctly the Tournament Scoring System. The scoring system is designed to be simple, and as this is an all species competition, so that every fish a team catches will count (up to the daily bag limit as clearly stated on the scoring sheet). It is also specifically designed to encourage catch and release on this heavily pressured waterway. This is a rod and line only competition. Only recognized fishing rods and fishing line and tackle are to be used. There is no limit on the number of rods an individual competitor may employ at one time. All Tournament Entrants must be fully paid and registered Members of the Zambia Sports Fishing Association. Please note that ZSFA Memberships WILL BE SOLD at the Competition Venue. Entrants who are not Members can go to and register their membership and follow the payment instructions provided therein. A list of paid members will be posted on the Tournament Notice board prior to the Day One start off. All Tournament Entrants must possess valid 2018 Recreational Angling Permits from the Department of Fisheries. (these will be available at Gwabi) All vessels must possess a valid Registration Certificate from the Department of Inland Waterways. All Captains must possess a valid Launch masters License. Boats are not permitted to come alongside except: o To assist another boat in distress Teams refusing to assist another boat in distress will be disqualified from the Tournament. Teams can purchase live or dead fish or other type of bait (I.e. earthworms) to be used as bait during the Tournament. Any may be purchased. Live bait will be sold at Gwabi River Lodge. Each vessel partaking in the Tournament must carry at all times sufficient life jackets for all occupants (whether in the Tournament or not), a whistle, yellow distress flag, paddle, bilge pump or bailing item, operational cellular phone, fire extinguisher. The Competition Committee and Executive Committee of the ZSFA reserve the right to board and inspect any vessel in the Competition to ensure compliance with these item requirements. All Competition Fees paid are NON REFUNDABLE. Each team must complete the Indemnity Form prior to the Tournament Start (at Registration on 3rd August). Fuel must not be stored in the Campsite. Gwabi will provide a designated depot for this. There will be a limited stock at Gwabi and there is stock in Chirundu now. Boat Trailers are not to be parked in the Campsite. Gwabi will provide a designated area for trailer parking.

4 As this is an Angler of the Year event the standard ZSFA Competition Terms and Conditions will apply. These may be downloaded from by ZSFA Members as the Competition Management Pack As clearly stated in the Competition Management Pack 2018 drunk and disorderly behaviour, or physical or verbal aggression, at any time during the Tournament will not be tolerated. The interpretation and application of the Tournament Rules, Regulations and Conditions resides exclusively with the Zambezi All Species 2018 Tournament Committee, the ZSFA Executive Committee and the Tournament Marshalls appointed during the Captains Meeting. Any decision pertaining to the Tournament made by the Zambezi All Species 2018 Tournament Committee, ZSFA Executive Committee or appointed Tournament Marshalls are final and absolute.
