2 Welwyn Garden City Golf Club welcomes golf societies, and has many that return year after year to enjoy the course and hospitality. These are not limited to local societies but include some from as far away as the south coast and Scotland. The course is recognised as one of the best in the area and encourages visitors to return regularly. We are happy to host a variety of days ranging from small societies to large corporate or charity days and are in the vicinity of three reasonably priced hotels and a vast number of local bed and breakfast establishments. Buggies and trolleys are available to hire from the Pro Shop. We employ friendly staff to ensure your day runs as smoothly as possible and have excellent catering and bar facilities. Availability permitting, you can book any week-day except Tuesday mornings which is our Ladies morning. You can play 18, 27 or 36 holes and our packages can be adapted to meet the smallest or largest of needs. The management and members of Welwyn Garden City Golf Club expect all guests and visitors to maintain a reasonable standard of dress at all times whilst on the course and in the clubhouse DRESS STANDARDS Golf Societies at Welwyn Garden City Golf Golf Day Etiquette ON THE COURSE Golf Shoes must be worn Shirts must have collars Tailored shorts and trousers only All shirts must be tucked in No denim or tracksuits Golfers must not share clubs or bags Mobile phones for emergency use only CARE OF THE COURSE Please repair pitchmarks, replace divots and rake bunkers To assist the speed of play we encourage players to play a provisional rather than have to walk back to the tee CLUBHOUSE Minimum dress code is to be smart casual at all times Soft spike golf shoes are permitted in the bar Tailored shirts may be worn outside trousers Hats, visors and trainers are not permitted Combat shorts or trousers are not permitted Footwear must be worn at all times Smart blue denim (no slits or holes) is permitted downstairs in the clubhouse Mobile phones are to be on silent in the Clubhouse The Society Organiser is responsible for the dress and etiquette of their group. Please ensure that the above guidelines are followed to avoid embarrassment.

4 HOW TO FIND US Welwyn Garden City Golf Club Mannicotts High Oaks Road Welwyn Garden City Herts AL8 7BP Telephone: Office Clubhouse Professional Fax TRAVEL GUIDANCE Welwyn Garden City Golf Club is situated alongside the A1(M) west of the town From the North: Leave the A1(M) at Junction 6 for Welwyn Garden City (A1000) and Welwyn (A656) then follow the B197 towards Stanborough. Go past the Red Lion pub, and at the roundabout at the bottom of the hill turn left into Valley Road (B195). Take the first left into High Oaks Road then first left into Mannicotts. From the South: If using the M25, leave it at Junction 23 (Hatfield) and travel north on the A1(M). Leave the A1(M) at Junction 4 after passing through the Hatfield Tunnel, south of Welwyn Garden City at the junction with the A414. Follow signs for the town along the A6129, turning left at the roundabout, going under the motorway. At the next roundabout take the fourth exit on to the B197. At the next roundabout take the fourth exit under the bridge. Go straight over the next roundabout (second exit) into Valley Road (B195). Take the first left into High Oaks Road then first left into Mannicotts.
