The goal is to provide campers with an extensive, personalized learning experience. Each camper will get a taste of what collegiate golf is all about. The camp focuses on fundamentals of the game including: grip, swing mechanics, putting stroke and playing rules. The camp takes place at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course, home of the Seminole men s and women s golf teams state of the art practice facility. It is a fun and challenging environment, with men s and women s golf team members serving as camp counselors. Campers should have some experience with golf and will need their own set of clubs. This camp is open to male and female golfers age The Seminole Overnight Camp is for junior golfers who have experience playing golf but are ready to take their game to the next level. Whether you are trying to make your high school team, or are hoping to land a college golf scholarship, this camp is a must for you. Campers will have access to the Florida State University golf teams private practice facility which includes state of the art video analysis with the V-1 Swing Analysis Program and Trackman System. We will analyze your fundamentals; then help you develop a practice plan that you will be able to utilize when you leave camp. We will also discuss tournament selection and preparation, course management, mental preparation and rules of the game. This camp is designed for advanced golfers but tournament experience is not required. Golfers will be grouped according to skill and age level. 5 DON VELLER SEMINOLE GOLF COURSE The Dave Middleton Golf Complex and the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course are home to the PGA Golf Management Program, which is one of only a few programs in the country that is accredited by the Professional Golfer s Association of America. A 27,000-square-foot clubhouse, the Dave Middleton Golf Complex boasts private technologically advanced Wi-Fi classrooms, study and teaching labs, an internship library, a fully equipped club repair room, a pro shop, public locker rooms and the Renegade Grill. The $7 million facility (for use by the Florida State Golf teams and PGM students only) is a two-building complex, which also includes a multi-directional driving range, a video analysis instructional center with hitting bays for inclement weather, chipping and putting greens, as well as locker rooms, team lounge, auditorium and fitness facility. The golf course was renovated in 2004 with the reconstruction of all 18 greens, complexes, tee boxes and the state-of-the-art TiffEagle Turf was installed on all the putting surfaces. Each year the facility hosts over 60,000 rounds of golf. 7 SEASON PREVIEW Seminoles Look To Earn 13th Consecutive NCAA Appearance Florida State s Amy Bond, the 2017 ACC Coach of the Year, approaches every season with a very high level of excitement. She has built a program that will compete for the ACC Championship and on the national level every year because she has recruited and coached outstanding golfers who continue to develop into top-level collegiate players. Bond s ability to teach the members of her team to be physically and mentally prepared for each tournament is one of the many things she does well. Entering the 2018 competitive season, Bond once again knows that she has put her group of eight golfers in position to contend for team titles, postseason honors, and a run at the coveted national championship. We feel really good about our team as we begin play in the spring season, said Bond. We have a strong nucleus of players who have played a lot of golf at Florida State, golfers who led us to the No. 1 ranking last season. It s our job to build on that success and continue to take this program to even higher levels. With this group of golfers, I am excited about their experience and their ability to play well under the many conditions and on the different courses we will travel to this season. Their collective experiences are going to be a positive for us and one of the deciding factors to our success. Florida State has one of the most experienced lineups in the country this spring, with the firepower to keep the Seminoles ranked among the nation s elite through the season. The return of the Metraux sisters seniors Kim and Morgane and the emergence of sophomore Amanda Doherty along with freshman Kathleen Sumner gives the Seminoles four golfers with the ability to win any tournament on the schedule. In addition, the weekly battle for the Seminoles final spot in the lineup between a combination of seniors Kayla Jones and Lexie Flerlage and sophomores Ashley Mangan and Sandra Salonen will keep the Seminoles competitive deep into the NCAA Championship Finals in May. Any mention of the Florida State Women s Golf team in 2018 has to begin with the Metraux sisters, Kim and Morgane, who have been mainstays in the Seminoles lineup since their arrival as freshmen. Kim and Morgane are two of the more experienced golfers in the country, having played in 71 combined events, four NCAA Championship Finals, five NCAA Regional Championships, five ACC Championships and having earned All-ACC honors a combined three times (Kim, twice; Morgane, once). Kim and Morgane are great leaders for our team, said Bond. They both lead by example and let their play on the course do their talking. They are great teammates and teachers in their own ways. They are very valued members of our team. Morgane enters the final semester of her Florida State career ranked third in school history with a career stroke average. She is one of only five golfers in school history with a career scoring average below strokes per round and she earned All-America honors by the Women s Golf Coaches Association as a junior and All-Regional honors as a freshman in Morgane is an exceptional golfer who keeps adding pieces to her game, said Bond. She prepares to do well and will be a major factor in our success this season. Morgane prepares herself for practice and tournaments as well as any golfer I have ever coached, and she is always looking for ways to become a better golfer. Because of the vast and different experiences, she has had at Florida State, I am really looking for her to have a great season. Metraux played in the 2017 U.S. Women s Open and advanced to the second round of LPGA Qualifying school during the fall of Kim is a two-time All-ACC selection (2016 and 2017) who will certainly contend for conference and national honors as a senior. She is ranked sixth in school history with her stroke average entering the 2018 spring season. Kim averaged a career-low strokes in 35 rounds during 12 tournaments as a junior in Kim is a very smart golfer whose strength is navigating her way around any golf course she plays, said Bond. She has played so much high-level golf and has seen so many types of courses two parts of her game that make her very comfortable in any setting. Her continued improvement, as a ball-striker and on the greens, are what is going help her become a standout golfer. As she continues to put all parts of her game together, she adds a dynamic to our team that makes us better. The better Kim is, the better Florida State is as a team. Metraux was one of three players who was in the Seminoles lineup in each of their four events during the fall of 2017 and has helped Florida State to seven tournament championships during her career. Doherty, one of the top young players in all of collegiate golf, has displayed her ability to be a top-level golfer since her arrival at Florida State in the fall of All she has done in three semesters of golf is earn four top-10 finishes, play SEMINOLE WOMEN S 6 GOLF G PAGE 6

Doherty has been Florida State s leader in three of the first 16 events of her career and shot a near-school record round 66 in the Dickson Intercollegiate as a freshman. There is so much to be excited about with Amanda Doherty, said Bond. She is tough as nails, doesn t back down, doesn t get discouraged and has an incredible ability to play through distractions. Amanda is one of the bedrock players of our team, and I am extremely excited to help her continue to improve this spring and in the next two seasons of her career. She is going to be a force in collegiate golf before her career as a Seminole is over. Doherty is ranked fourth in school history with a stroke average and played in the NCAA Championship Finals, the NCAA Columbus Regional Championship and the ACC Championship in her first season as a freshman. Her scoring average in her first collegiate season (74.26) is the third lowest by a freshman in school history. Sumner was a pleasant a surprise as a firstsemester freshman during the fall of She played in all four events, counted 10 of her 12 scores to the team score, and earned a top-20 finish in her first career event. The sky is certainly the limit for Kathleen, said Bond. I am really looking forward to helping with her development for the next four years. She handled her first semester of collegiate golf unlike any golfer I have ever worked with. Kathleen was well-prepared mentally for every event, handled her academic commitments and was one of the many shining lights on our team during the fall. She is going to be very exciting to watch during her career as a Seminole. A pair of players Jones and Mangan are strong players who will compete for playing time in the Seminoles lineup with each having the ability to contribute to Florida State s success during the spring of Jones, the more experienced of the two golfers, has played in 26 events during her career in Tallahassee. She is ranked ninth in school history with a career scoring average of strokes entering the final semester of her collegiate career. Jones is one of four seniors on the Seminoles roster, played in the 2016 NCAA Championship Finals and win the individual title at the Mo Morial Classic at Texas A&M in the fall of Kayla has really matured as a golfer during the first three seasons of her career, said Bond. She has displayed the ability to perform at a high level and will be an important member of our tam this spring. Kayla needs to develop a sense of consistency which would allow her to score low in just about every round she plays. That s the part of her game, that if she can master that, she would be a consistent member of the lineup. Mangan, who played in two of Florida State s fall 2017 events, demonstrated her ability and desire to move in to the Seminoles lineup in her second season at Florida State. She is a very smart and confident golfer who earned the best score of her career, a 1-under par 70, in the third round of the 2017 Schooner Fall Classic at the Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma. Mangan s score of 70 included the first eagle of her career, two birdies and 12 of 18 holes scored at par. I was very impressed with Ashley s determination to play as a member of our lineup last fall, said Bond. She earned her way into the lineup for the Schooner Fall Classic and the Stanford Intercollegiate which showed me that she is becoming ready to help us win tournaments. Her 70 at the Schooner in tough conditions was a great round of golf. She, too, needs to become more consistent in our team qualifiers to break through into the lineup and I see that coming soon. Florida State s will showcase its depth with two players -- Flerlage and Salonen -- who have continuously displayed the desire to compete for the Seminoles. One of four senior members of the Florida State women s golf team who is in her fourth season as a member of the squad, Flerlage earned playing time for the first time in her career at the 2017 Florida State Match-Up. She scored a 73 in her first career round, an effort that displayed her competitive desire to the Seminole coaching staff. Lexie is one of our hardest workers on our team, said Bond. If she has a really good spring season, we could have a season to remember at Florida State. Lexie is a great teammate who pushes all of her teammates to play well, thus, making all the players on our team better competitors. Salonen has been a positive teammate since her arrival as a freshman as well. Her practice habits and ability to play well in qualifiers pushes her teammates to player both better and harder. I love Sandra because she is one of the most positive players we have on our team, said Bond. As she continues to gain experience, she is going to help us during her career. Sandra continues to expand her game each day she comes to practice, and I am very pleased with her progress on the golf course. Florida State s players have become accustomed to playing and being competitive on one of the nation s toughest schedules. This spring will see the Seminoles host two events and play in some of the nation s most high-profile tournaments. Florida State will play host to the Fifth Annual Florida State Match-Up and the NCAA Regional Championships at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course in Tallahassee. We began one of the toughest schedules we have ever played in the fall and gained some valuable experience heading into the spring, said Bond. Our schedule takes us all across the country with a test coming on every course. Our program has reached a level where we know we can be successful against the teams in each event. Bond relishes the opportunity to host the Match- Up and the NCAA Regional Championship. This is going to be a great spring with two home events, said Bond. The Match-Up is one of the nation s best early-season tournaments and it s an honor to host an NCAA Regional. This is a season we are really looking forward to because of the events we have scheduled and the incredible opportunity to play host to two great events. 9 HEAD COACH AMY BOND Eighth-Year Head Coach Amy Bond, the 2017 ACC Coach of the year, has expeditiously built one of the top women s golf programs in the nation at Florida State. With a crystal clear plan and meticulous ideas on its execution, she has gone about the step by step construction of her program with a definite goal in mind: To Win The National Championship. Bond led the Seminoles to the one of the greatest seasons in school history in The Seminoles were ranked No. 1 in the nation, won six tournament championships, had four players named to the All-ACC team, led the nation in scoring average vs. par, led the nation in par 5 scoring enroute to Bond being named the ACC Coach of the Year. Florida State won an unprecedented six tournaments to tie for the national lead. Never before had any team in Florida State history won more than five events in a single season. Florida State took over the nation's No. 1 ranking after winning the Jim West Challenge and the Cardinal Cup during the fall season. The Seminoles then earned the highest NCAA regional seed in school history (No. 2), and finished in third place in the NCAA Columbus Regional Championship before earning their second consecutive top-20 finish at the NCAA National Championship Finals. During her first seven seasons as Florida State s Head Women s Golf Coach, Bond has coached four All-Americans, two Regional Champions, 12 All-ACC selections, 22 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll selections with 52 academic honors, 13 players who have been named to the All-ACC Academic team and four who have been named to the All-America Scholar Athlete team. As the Seminoles head coach, she has led Florida State to seven consecutive NCAA Championship Tournament appearances a streak that brings the program s current schoolrecord streak to 12 consecutive NCAA appearances entering the season. With her student-athlete first approach, her love of the game of golf, her unbridled love for Florida State University and her ability to recruit top-level talent, Bond constantly works to take the Seminole women s golf program to a higher level. That higher level is in the classroom, with her relationships with her players, and Florida State s success on the golf course have all allowed her program to become recognized as one of the top all-around programs in all of college golf. The Seminole Women s Golf Team is recognized as a star among stars as Florida State is annually celebrated as one of the top athletic programs in the nation. Florida State has finished in the top 25 in the Director s Cup in each of the last nine years. In her seven seasons at Florida State, the Seminoles have played in seven NCAA Championship tournaments, produced the school s first two NCAA Regional Champions (Maria Salinas in 2012 and Matilda Castren in 2016), earned five All-American honors (Matilda Castren in 2014 and 2017, Salinas in 2011 and 2013, Morgane Metraux in 2017), earned 13 All-ACC selections (Salinas in 2011 and 2012, Jessica Negron in 2013, Castren in 2014, 2016 and 2017, Alex Milan in 2014, Lydia Gumm in 2015 and 2017, Kim Metraux in 2016 and 2017 and Morgane Metraux in 2017) and had 20 players earn All-ACC Academic honors. As a player, Bond earned a spot on the ACC s 50th Anniversary team. As an assistant coach she helped the Seminoles to three NCAA Tournament appearances. 10 HEAD COACH AMY BOND Eighth-Year Head Coach Taking Seminoles To New Heights second at the NCAA Division I Shoal Creek Regional, won team championships in the fall 2015 Jacksonville Classic and the spring 2016 Florida State Match-Up, finished in the top five of nine of its 13 matches, had two players earn NCAA Shoal Creek All-Region honors (Matilda Castren and Kim Metraux) and had two players earn All-ACC honors (Castren and Kim Metraux). Academically, the Seminoles had each member of its team named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll, saw four players named to the ACC All-Academic Women s Golf Team (Castren, Lydia Gumm, Kim and Morgane Metraux) and had two players (Kim and Morgane Metraux) named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Athlete team. Throughout her playing career at Florida State, she played as one of the Seminoles top players (she was named Florida State s team MVP in 1997, 1998 and 1999), played with a number of touring professionals (including LPGA major winner and current Golf Channel analyst Karen Stupples) and has coached many of Florida State s recent greats including the only fourtime golf All-American in school history (Caroline Westrup). While achieving success during her career as a player and a coach, Bond has never lost sight of her ultimate goal: the success and achievements of her studentathletes. In her 12 seasons as a Seminole coach (five as an assistant and seven as the head coach), every student-athlete who has played golf at Florida State has earned her bachelor s degree and every one played on at least two NCAA Tournament teams during their careers. The Seminoles are among the NCAA leaders with a perfect APR rating during the first seven seasons of Bond s head coaching tenure at Florida State. FLORIDA STATE IS HOME FOR BOND Amy Bond joined the long and illustrious list of Florida State alumni who have returned to coach their alma mater when she was named the Seminoles head coach on June 25, She returned to her Seminole roots after an outstanding playing career at Florida State ( ), during which she finished in 30th place in the 1999 NCAA Championship Finals, and after a five-year career as an assistant coach ( ) when she helped lead the Seminoles to the NCAA Championships three times. Bond is one of three Florida State University alumni who are current head coaches at their alma mater, joining Jennifer Hyde (women s tennis) and Mike Martin (baseball). LEAD FSU TO HISTORIC SEASON IN 2017 Florida State s enjoyed one of the top seasons in school history in 2017 as it earned the nation s No. 1 ranking, won a school record six tournament championships, were the No. 2 seed at the NCAA Columbus Regional Championship, and played in the NCAA Championships finals for the second consecutive season. The Seminoles led the ACC and finished second nationally with a school record stroke average. Individually, two different golfers won five different tournament championships, a schoolrecord four golfers earned All-ACC honors and two earned All-American honors. Academically, each of Florida State s five starters were named to the All-ACC Academic Golf Team, all 12 members of the team were named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll, and three players were named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team. The Seminoles finished the season ranked No. 6 by GolfWeek and No. 11 by Golfstat. FSU EARNED SUCCESS IN 2016 Florida State finished the season ranked 19th nationally by Golfstat, 24th nationally by Golfweek and finished 15th nationally in the NCAA Division I Championship Finals. The Seminoles finished in BOND AS A TOURNAMENT HOST Bond s passion for growing the game of golf has increased her desire to plan and host largescale tournaments at Florida State. She hosted the NCAA East Regional Championship in 2014, a 24-team event that showcased the best in women s collegiate golf for the first time in school history. Bond will play host to the sixth Annual Florida State Match-Up in February of 2018 and the NCAA Tallahassee Regional in May of 2018 as she continues to attract high level competition to the city of Tallahassee on an annual basis. RECRUITING SUCCESS AT FSU During her first seven seasons as the head coach at Florida State, she has continued the tradition of recruiting talented players and outstanding student-athletes to Tallahassee. Her list of top recruits includes Matilda Castren - the Seminoles all-time leading golfer for stroke average and individual wins - and five players who have been named to the WGCA All-America Scholar Athlete team. Kim and Morgane Metraux, two of the top rising amateur players in the world, were also recruited by Bond to attend Florida State. In five years as an assistant coach at Florida State, Bond helped recruit five players who earned All-ACC honors a total of 12 times and formed the nucleus of two top 20 ranked teams. The Seminoles finished in a tie for 16th nationally in 2006 and in a tie for 19th nationally in She was also instrumental in recruiting Caroline Westrup - the only four-time All-American and four-time All-ACC selection in school history. PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS Bond has recruited and coached eight players who have played, or are currently SEMINOLE WOMEN S 7 GOLF G PAGE 9

11 playing professional golf. She coached Kristin Tamulis (Florida State) who is currently playing on the LPGA Tour. She also recruited and coached four-time All-American Caroline Westrup (Florida State) who earned her LPGA Tour Card for the 2014 season (and who played in the 2013 U.S. Open), another who is playing on the LPGA Tour (Lacey Agnew), two who earned success on the Symetra Tour (Jaclyn Burch and Macarena Silva), one who is playing on the Symetra Tour (Alex Milan), one on the European Tour (Maria Salinas) and three players who began their professional careers on the LPGA Symetra Tour (Susannah Aboff, Marlowe Boukis and Michelle Grilli). SEMINOLES AT THE 2013 U.S. OPEN Bond and the Seminoles were well represented at the 2013 U.S. Women s Open at Sebonack Golf Club with four of the top players in the history of the program Karen Stupples, Kristin Tamulis, Macarena Silva and Caroline Westrup all playing in the event. BOND ON THE NATIONAL SCENE Bond is the immediate past President of the Women s Golf Coaches Association, as she served as the President of the organization from She has served in a number of positions on the national governing board after serving the organization as its treasurer beginning in Bond began on the WGCA Board as its treasurer ( ), served as its vice president ( ) and then as its President ( ). The WGCA was formed in 1983 as an organization to promote participation in women s collegiate golf. The vision of WGCA since its inception has been to encourage the playing of intercollegiate golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. ACADEMIC ACCOLADES Academic success is the cornerstone of Florida State s program under Amy Bond. In 2016 (10) and 2017 (12), every member of the Seminole women s golf team was named to the ACC Honor Roll, nine players were named to the All-ACC Academic team and five were named All-American Scholar Athletes by the WGCA. The women s golf team earned the highest grade point average of the Seminoles 20 athletic teams in 2016 (3.591) and 2017 (3.616). During Bond s first seven seasons as Florida State s head coach, the Seminoles have totaled 54 ACC Honor Roll selections, had 24 players named to the All-ACC Academic team and had HEAD COACH AMY BOND Eighth-Year Head Coach Amy Bond nine players named to the All-American Scholar team. The Seminoles individual success has certainly translated into team success during Bond s head coaching tenure at Florida State. The Seminoles team was lauded by the NCAA for attaining a perfect multi-year Academic Performance Rate score of 1000 for the latest measuring period in The Florida State women s golf team has achieved a perfect APR in each of Bond s seasons as Florida State s head coach. Calculated over the four most recent years of data, the multi-year APR is a real-time measurement of eligibility and retention of student-athletes competing on every NCAA Division I sports team. Bond developed her academic achievement philosophy as a player at Florida State as she was named an Academic All-American in 1998 and 1999 and earned ACC Academic Honor Roll accolades three times during her playing career (1996, 98, 99). Bond s teams in both 2015 and 2016 were presented with the Golden Torch at Florida State s annual Black Tie student-athlete gala for the team with the highest GPA. Bond s 2015 team finished the spring semester with 12 players earning a 3.0 grade point average or higher. The women s golf team was the only team at Florida State to accomplish that feat during the spring 2015 academic semester. The Seminoles earned a cumulative GPA of during the fall and spring semesters. TOP 50 PLAYER IN ACC HISTORY Bond was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference 50th Anniversary team in 2002 along with Seminole greats Karen Stupples and Louise Wright. Bond was a 1998 All-ACC selection as well. She earned 10 top-10 finishes during her career and was named the Seminoles Most Valuable Player each year during her career. Bond competed in the NCAA Championship tournament in 1999 and played in three NCAA regional tournaments. She was an All-Region selection in 1999 and was the medalist at the 1998 Ryder/Florida State Championship tournament. PERSONAL An Ocala, Fla., native, Bond earned a Bachelor s Degree in Sport Management from Florida State in 1997 before earning her Master s Degree in Sport Administration from Florida State in Bond s twin brother, Tommy, is the Director of Athletics and head baseball coach at Trinity Catholic in Ocala, Fla. 12 ASSISTANT COACH MATT WHALL Assistant Coach Matt Whall, who helped the Texas Tech women s golf team to two appearances in the NCAA Championships in the last three seasons, is in his first season as an assistant coach for the nationally ranked Florida State men s and women s golf teams. In his three seasons at Texas Tech, the Lady Raiders advanced to the NCAA regional championships three times and made two trips to the national championships in 2015 and Whall coached Texas Tech to two team championships and 32 top-10 team finishes in his three years in Lubbock. Whall helped Texas Tech to a program-best fifthplace finish in the 2015 NCAA Championships. The Lady Raiders, who were making just their second all-time appearance in the NCAA Championships, used a strong final round to overcome a five-shot deficit and advance to the match play portion of the championship as one of the top eight teams. Texas Tech fell to Duke in the quarterfinal round of match play, ending an historic season in a tie for fifth after the Lady Raiders began the spring ranked 68th nationally. Part of Texas Tech s success stemmed from its work on the greens where the Lady Raiders led the country with 570 birdies. During the season, Whall once again helped lead the Lady Raiders to another NCAA Regional appearance. In addition, he helped Gabby Barker earn the single-season school record with a 72.3 strokes average. She was named the 2016 Big 12 Player of the Year and earned All-America Honorable Mention honors. Texas Tech claimed two team titles during Whall s second season as the Lady Raiders won the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate and the Red Raider Invitational crown in The season saw the Lady Raiders return to the NCAA Championships after defending its home course with a fifth-place finish in the NCAA Lubbock Regional. Whall mentored a young lineup throughout the season as Texas Tech was led by a pair of juniors and then four players who were classified as either a freshman or sophomore. Whall worked with Lady Raider standout Sofia Garcia in 2018 as she put together one of the best freshmen seasons in Texas Tech history. She closed her first collegiate season with a scoring average - the sixth-lowest in program history and the lowest ever for a Texas Tech freshman. Prior to his arrival at Texas Tech, Whall spent most of the last decade as a coach on the amateur circuit in his native United Kingdom where he was part of the England Golf coaching staff for the Under-16 Regional Girls squad. In addition to his coaching accomplishments, Whall is certified as a PGA Advanced Professional and holds numerous qualifications in golf psychology, putting, short game coaching and club hitting. He graduated from the University of Loughborough in the United Kingdom and spent time learning much of the coaching and teaching aspects of the game from mentor and former Palmer Cup coach for England, David Ridley SEMINOLE WOMEN S 7 GOLF G PAGE 11 Whall and his wife, Jenny, have relocated to Tallahassee along with their son Noah.

13 ASSISTANT COACH ROBERT DUCK Assistant Coach Robert Duck, who has worked with the two greatest collegiate golfers in school history and who has helped both the Seminoles men s and women s golf teams reach the nation s No. 1 ranking, is in his seventh season as an assistant coach with both programs at Florida State University. His ability to teach the game of golf to the nation s top golfers has helped elevate Florida State s programs to rank among the nation s best in both sports. Florida State was one of only 12 programs nationally to have both its men s and women s programs advance to the NCAA Championship national finals in Under Ducks tutelage, both Seminole teams have become perennial leaders in the national rankings and course statistics as well as in the production of All-Americans and All-ACC performers, as he has helped raise the profiles of both programs to the levels necessary to compete as top collegiate programs on an annual basis. Duck worked closely with Jack Maguire the all-time career-stroke leader for the Florida State men (70.78) and Matilda Castren the all-time career stroke leader for the Florida State women (72.52) as he has helped develop the top golfers in program history. Duck has worked with seven of the top 10 scoring men and six of the top 10 scoring women in school history. Brooks Koepka, who won the 2017 U.S. Open, and who finished his Seminole career with a stroke average, and Harry Ellis, the 2017 Amateur Champion, are among the players he has worked with during his Florida State career. Ellis will complete his career at Florida State after playing as a member of the Great Britain and Ireland team in the 2017 Walker Cup. Duck plays an integral role in the successes of both programs including the men s national ranking of No. 1 in 2016 and the women s national ranking of No. 1 during the 2017 season. He has helped coach both programs into the NCAA Tournament in each of his first six years while working with All-Americans and All- ACC honorees on both teams. In his first six seasons at Florida State, the men have produced eight All-Americans, 14 All- ACC selections, two ACC Golfers of the Year (Koepka in 2012 and Hank Lebioda in 2016) and two ACC Freshmen of the Year, while the women have produced four All-Americans and 11 All-ACC performers. Duck worked with a school-record four Seminole women who earned All-ACC honors in During each of his six seasons, the Seminole men and the Seminole women have appeared in the NCAA Tournament six times each with the men finishing ninth in the team standings in the 2012 NCAA Championship finals and 11th in the 2015 NCAA Championship finals, and the women finishing in 15th at the 2016 NCAA Championship Finals. The men have finished in second (twice) and third (once) and the women have finished second (once), third (once) and have earned two fourth place finishes in their respective ACC Championships. Duck s work with Florida State s players has led to incredible individual success in his first six seasons in Tallahassee. His teaching abilities and coaching philosophies have helped accelerate the careers of two of the top men s players in school history Koepka and Daniel Berger as well as four of the top performers in school history on the women s side Matilda Castren, Lydia Gumm, Maria Salinas and Jessica Negron. Koepka was named the ACC Golfer of the Year in 2012 and was a three-time All-ACC selection, while Berger, who has won twice on the PGA Tour, earned All-ACC honors and played for the United States Palmer Cup team in Duck also worked with Seminole All-America Hank Lebioda who earned All-America honors in 2015 and 2016, was the 2013 ACC Freshman of the Year, a four-time All-ACC selection and was a member of the 2014 United States Palmer Cup Team. Castren earned All-American honors in 2014 and 2017, is a three-time All-ACC honoree and holds the record for lowest stroke average in school history. Gumm was an All-ACC selection in 2015 and 2017, and Salinas finished in a tie for first in the NCAA Central Regional and earned All- America honors in 2012 and Negron earned SEMINOLE WOMEN S 6 GOLF G PAGE 12

14 ASSISTANT COACH ROBERT DUCK Assistant Coach All-ACC honors in Duck has helped coach the Florida State men to 13 tournament championships. The Seminoles won four consecutive tournaments, earned six overall team championships and were the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Golf championships in Duck helped the Seminole women win nine team championships, including a schoolrecord six during the season, a second place finish at the 2016 NCAA Shoal Creek Regional and to a third place finish at the 2017 NCAA Columbus Regional. The Seminoles both the men and the women have been ranked among the nation s top 30 teams throughout his first six seasons at Florida State. The men were ranked as high as No. 1 in 2015 while the women were ranked as high as No. 1 in COACHING EXPERIENCE Duck is one of the rising stars in collegiate coaching. He was the acting head coach at Augusta State in 2002, served the Jaguars as a volunteer assistant coach during the season and was an assistant coach for the program during the season. During his tenure as the acting coach at Augusta State, the Jaguars were ranked as high as No. 9 nationally. COLLEGIATE PLAYING EXPERIENCE Duck enjoyed a standout career at Augusta State ( ) where he earned All-America honors as a sophomore (1999) and led the Jaguars to three NCAA Championship appearances (1998, 1999, 2001). He is one of the top golfers in the storied history of the Augusta State program and remains listed prominently in the record book 15 years after his playing career ended. Duck is ranked second in school history for lowest stroke average by a freshman (73.22), which stood as the school record for nearly 15 years. It is an average that still ranks in the top-15 in school history. His career stroke average of is ranked 14th in school history. During his career, he earned 12 top-10 and 28 top-20 individual finishes. COLLEGIATE COACHING EXPERIENCE Duck s ability to communicate with the players he coaches is illustrated by the success those players have earned on the golf course. In his first six seasons at Florida State he has worked with 13 All-Americans, 25 All-ACC honorees, two ACC Golfers of the Year and three ACC Freshmen of the Year. Each of the 12 teams (six men s and six women s) he has helped coach at Florida State has played in the NCAA Tournament and both teams have been ranked in the nation s top-20 during the first six years of his tenure in Tallahassee. AS A CADDY FOR MORGANE METRAUX AT THE 2017 U.S. WOMEN S OPEN Duck enjoyed the honor of caddying for Florida State senior Morgane Metraux at the 2017 U.S. Women s Open at the Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster, N.J. The incredibly special invitation came from Metraux shortly after she qualified for the event WAS A HISTORICAL SEASON FOR THE FLORIDA STATE WOMEN 2017 was an incredibly special season for the Florida State women. The Seminoles were ranked first in the nation, won six tournament championships, had four players named to the All-ACC team, led the nation in scoring average vs. par, led the nation in par 5 scoring and Head Coach Amy Bond was named the ACC Coach of the Year. Florida State won its first tournament of the season and went on to win an unprecedented six tournaments to tie for the national lead. Never before had any team in Florida State history won more than five events in a single season; not even the Seminoles 1981 A.I.A.W. National Championship team. The Seminoles earned the highest NCAA regional seed in school history (No. 2), and finished in third place in the NCAA Columbus Regional Championship before earning their second consecutive top-20 finish at the NCAA National Championship Finals. A record number of Seminoles (four) earned All-ACC honors while two were celebrated with All-American honors WAS A SPECIAL YEAR FOR THE SEMINOLE WOMEN Duck helped the Seminole women finish the season ranked 19th nationally by Golfstat and 24th nationally by Golfweek, finish 15th nationally in the NCAA Division I Championship Finals, finish second at the NCAA Division I Shoal Creek Regional, win team championships at the fall 2015 Jacksonville Classic and the spring 2016 Florida State Match-Up, finish in the top five of nine of its 13 matches, have two players earn NCAA Shoal Creek All-Region honors (Matilda Castren and Kim Metraux) and have two players earn All- ACC honors (Castren and Metraux). SUCCESS OF BROOKS KOEPKA Duck worked with All-American Brooks Koepka, the 2017 U.S. Open winner, during his final season as a Seminole ( ). Koepka was named the ACC Player of the Year and led the Seminoles to a ninth place finish at the NCAA Championship finals in Koepka earned his PGA Tour card for the season as he finished in a tie for fourth place at the 2014 U.S. Open a finish which also earned him an invitation to play in the 2015 Masters Championship. In 2017, Koepka had the lowest aggregate score in the four major tournaments on the PGA Tour. Koepka won the championship of the 2015 Phoenix Open for his first PGA Tour victory. NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY AS A PLAYER Duck led Augusta State (now Georgia Regents University) to three NCAA Championship tournament appearances and helped the Jaguars to a seventh place finish as a senior, the best finish in program history at the time. With the foundation put in place by Duck and his teammates, the Jaguars won the NCAA Titles in 2010 and PERSONAL Duck is married to the former Michelle Digsby. The couple has two daughters, Annabel (10) and Hannah (seven). He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Augusta State in A native of Northampton, England, he represented Great Britain-Ireland as a member of the 1998 Palmer Cup team. Duck played in the 1997 European Amateur Championship and finished tied as the runner-up with Sergio Garcia and Luke Donald SEMINOLE WOMEN S 7 GOLF G PAGE 13

15 DIRECTOR OF GOLF TREY JONES Top national finishes, All-Americans, professional success and academic achievement have become synonymous with the Florida State men s golf program under Trey Jones. Now in his 15th season as the head men s coach and Director of Golf for the Seminoles men s and women s golf programs, Jones has lifted the sport of golf at Florida State to new heights. Under his direction, there is no limit on how high the Seminole programs will go. Florida State Golf will remain in excellent hands in the foreseeable future, as Director of Athletics Stan Wilcox announced on June 5, 2015, that he extended Jones contract through the 2020 season. Jones is responsible for attracting nationally ranked recruiting classes, upgrading the Seminoles schedule to where it is ranked among the nation s toughest on an annual basis and creating one of the most functional player development facilities in all of college golf on one of the Seminoles five home golf courses. Jones continues annually to build on the Seminoles success in developing the nation s top talent into national contenders and collegiate golf s elite players. Jones oversaw another solid season in , as FSU finished 14th in the NCAA Finals and reached four days of competition at Rich Harvest Farms. Redshirt senior Cristobal Del Solar and redshirt junior Harry Ellis recorded All-America honors while also being named to the All-ACC Team. Ellis turnaround has been one of the highlights of Jones career, as the England native recorded career bests in scoring average (71.62), average vs. par (+0.54) and rounds played (39). Ellis would go on to win the British Amateur and participate in the 2017 Open Championship (+12). He also has exemptions to the 2018 Masters and 2018 U.S. Open as an amateur. FSU s two All-ACC selections in 2016 makes it 10 straight years the Seminoles have garnered multiple all-conference selections. Their sixth consecutive trip to the NCAA Finals is the longest active streak in the ACC and tied for the fifth-longest nationally. The top-notch head coach helped FSU Men s Golf achieve more milestones in For the fifth consecutive year, the Seminoles made the NCAA Tournament. Senior Hank Lebioda became the third Seminole to win ACC Player of the Year honors, while redshirt junior Cristobal Del Solar s career year put him on the All-ACC Team and PING Southeast All-Region Team alongside Lebioda. Senior leader Lebioda was also a PING All-American. Jones guided Florida State to its most successful season in program history in 2015, earning ACC Coach of the Year honors for the second time. FSU ranked No. 1 in the Golf Coaches Association of America Poll for most of the season and entered the NCAA Tournament as the No. 1 overall seed for the first time ever. The Noles set a school record with six tournament victories and established three All-Americans in Jack Maguire (First Team), Hank Lebioda (Second Team) and Rowin Caron (Third Team) the most in a single year. Named the 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year as he led the Seminoles to the first conference championship in the sport of golf in school history, Jones is no stranger to competing with the nation s best in one of the top conferences for college golf. Building championship teams and elevating those teams onto the national stage is nothing new to Jones, who has earned five conference coach of the year awards and led 16 of his 21 teams at the Division I level to the NCAA Championship tournament. Jones has become one of the winningest coaches in school history in his first 14 years in Florida State. He is the only coach in school history to lead the Seminoles to 12 NCAA Tournament appearances (no other coach has led Florida State to more than five appearances) and he is ranked first in school history with 20 tournament championships (second is nine by Don Veller) NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP Florida State finished in a tie for third place at the 2010 NCAA Championship Finals to earn the best national finish in school history. The Seminoles fell to Augusta State (the 2010 National Champion) in the semifinals of the championship tournament after defeating Texas Tech in the first round of match play. The Seminoles led the stroke play portion of the tournament and finished in second place to earn the No. 2 seed in the match play portion of the event. The third place finish at the NCAA Championship marked the best finish in school history one better than the Seminoles fourth place national finish in 1957 and tied for fourth place finish in ACC CHAMPIONSHIP Florida State, which was led by All-Americans Jonas Blixt and Matt Savage, won its first ever Atlantic Coast Conference championship as it defeated Duke by three strokes at the 2008 ACC Championship at the Old North State Club at Uwharrie Point. The Seminoles defeated Duke as they rallied from a one stroke deficit after two rounds to claim the school s first ever ACC championship in the sport of golf. Each of the five team members contributed to the victory as the Seminoles closed the 54-hole tournament with four players under par. Blixt and Savage led the way with eight-under par 208 scores as they both finished in a tie for third in the individual standings. RECRUITING Known as one of the nation s most dynamic recruiters, Jones is nationally recognized as one of the top talent scouts in all of collegiate golf. His ability to recruit talented players, which in turn helps him build solid teams, is one of the aspects of coaching that has made Jones a top Division I coach. Florida State s recruiting class ranked fourth best in the nation in 2007, fifth best in 2008, sixth best in 2005 and among the nation s top 15 in 2006, 2010 and BROOKS KOEPKA Jones coached Brooks Koepka the school record holder for lowest stroke average in a single season (71.09) and for a career (71.85) the ACC Golfer of the Year in 2010 and 2012 and a three-time All-ACC selection. Koepka was named the ACC Golfer of the Year twice, the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2009 and earned All-American twice in his career in leading the Seminoles to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and two top-10 NCAA Championship Finals finishes. As a senior, Koepka tied the school record with a nine under par score of 63 in the third round of the FAU Spring Break Invitational and set the school record with his 199 total for three rounds of the event. Koepka won three events as a senior at the Brickyard Collegiate Championship, the Seminole Intercollegiate, the FAU Spring Break Invitational. ACADEMIC SUCCESS Committed to the academic and athletic success of his student-athletes, Jones has coached 35 members of the ACC Academic Honor Roll, eight members of the ACC Academic Golf Team and four members of the Golf Coaches Association of America All-American Scholar team. His team was also nationally recognized in 2010 as one of the few schools in the NCAA to achieve a perfect APR score of 1000 since the inception of the Academic Progress Rate program in During his tenure at Georgia State, he coached 10 members of the Atlantic Sun All-Academic team and 20 members of the TAAC All-Academic team. JONES NATIONALLY Jones has been an active member of the Golf Coaches Association of America since He is currently a member of the steering committee for the Collegiate Golf Hall of Fame. Jones served the board as the Division I Director for the East Region and served as the chair of the District 3 South Regional NCAA Selection Committee. He was also a representative in the District 3 South NCAA Selection Committee from PERSONAL Jones is married to the former Cathy McVeigh, who is the coordinator of financial aid for student-athletes at Florida State. They are the proud parents of a daughter, Jordan (15) and a son, Drew (11). Jones earned his bachelor s degree in health and physical education with a minor in business administration from North Alabama in Jones is a 26-year veteran of the collegiate coaching ranks. He was the head men s coach and Director of Golf Operations at Georgia State for eight years ( ) before becoming only the fifth coach in the history of the Seminole program in Prior to his career at Georgia State, Jones was an assistant coach at Wallace State Junior College ( ) and his alma mater North Alabama (1991) SEMINOLE WOMEN S 7 GOLF G PAGE 15

17 DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS JENNIFER SANTIAGO Jennifer Santiago was named Director of Operations for the men s and women s golf teams in Prior to working with the golf teams, she was the Director of Operations for the men s and women s track and field teams at Florida State. Santiago has been a member of the athletics staff at Florida State since 2007 when she joined the Athletic Academic Support Unit. She was Associate Director of the Academic Support Unit and became the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance in She served the department in that capacity until 2012 when she began working with the National Championship track and field teams. Santiago previously worked as the Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development at Georgia State University, as well as spending four years as a high school English and history teacher before coming to Florida State. An acclaimed author, Santiago has three published novels. A native of Sarasota, Fla., Santiago earned her undergraduate degree in English from Villanova University and a Master s in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. 18 FLORIDA STATE MATCH-UP / WOMEN S GOLF SUPPORT The Sixth Annual Florida State Match-Up is Feb. 9-11, 2018 in Tallahassee. The Seminoles enter the event as the two-time defending champions having defeated South Carolina in both of the last two seasons to win the team championship. Seminole Senior Morgane Metraux is the defending individual champion. The twelve teams in the 2018 Florida State Match-Up will tee off in twosomes for the first two rounds and then in a final round shotgun in threesomes. The twosomes will consist of the partner teams playing together and for this year the partners are as follows: Florida State/Texas A&M, South Carolina/Virginia, Notre Dame/ Kentucky, Minnesota/Michigan State, Princeton/ Columbia and Missouri/Middle Tennessee State. The Match-Up portion of the tournament will be determined by taking the best four scores from the partners and the worst score to make the Match-Up team total. At the end of the tournament, the teams with the lowest scores will win the Match-Up. The individual champion and overall team champion will also be decided over the three days and 54 holes. 34 SEASON REVIEW Seminoles Play In School Record 12th Consecutive NCAA Regional Championship FSU ENJOYS SPECIAL YEAR IN was an incredibly special season filled with many firsts for the Florida State Women's Golf team. The Seminoles were ranked No. 1 in the nation, won six tournament championships, had four players named to the All-ACC team, led the nation in scoring average vs. par, led the nation in par 5 scoring and Head Coach Amy Bond was named the ACC Coach of the Year. Florida State won its first tournament of the season and won an unprecedented six tournaments to tie for the national lead. Never before had any team in Florida State history won more than five events in a single season. With the championship at the Schooner Fall Classic came lofty national rankings very lofty rankings. The Seminoles moved into the nation's top five and spent the remainder of the season ranked among the nation's top five teams. Florida State took over the nation's No. 1 ranking after winning the Jim West Challenge and the Cardinal Cup. The Seminoles then earned the highest NCAA regional seed in school history (No. 2) and finished in third place in the NCAA Columbus Regional Championship before earning their second consecutive top-20 finish at the NCAA National Championship Finals. TWO EARN ALL-AMERICAN HONORS Florida State senior Matilda Castren and junior Morgane Metraux earned All-American Third-Team honors as voted on by the editors and writers of GolfWeek and both earned All- American Honorable Mention honors from the Women's Golf Coaches Association. Castren and Metraux are two of the most decorated players in the ACC this year. Both earned All-American honors from the WGCA and GolfWeek and both earned All-ACC honors for their outstanding performances in leading the Seminoles to the most successful season in school history. Castren and Metraux were two of the eight players named to the GolfWeek All- American teams from the ACC. The Seminoles were one of only two teams from the ACC with multiple players named to the First, Second, Third or Honorable Mention All-American teams by GolfWeek. FSU FINISHES THIRD IN REGIONAL Florida State advanced to the NCAA Championship Finals for the second consecutive season as it finished in third place in the NCAA Columbus Regional Championship at the Scarlet Course at The Ohio State University on May 10. The Seminoles earned their second highest regional finish in school history and advanced to play in the NCAA Finals for the ninth time in school history. Florida State played its best golf of the third and final round of the tournament on the back nine. The Seminoles combined to card 10 birdies on the final four holes with each of their five players recording a birdie on hole No. 14. The team recorded a total of 13 birdies on the back nine after combining for a total of seven on their front nine. Florida State played the second best team round of the day (and its best of the 54-hole tournament) as they carded a team total of 294. Florida State was led on the leaderboard by junior Kim Metraux who finished in a tie for 11th place in the individual standings. BOND NAMED ACC COACH OF THE YEAR; RECORD FOUR SEMINOLES EARN ALL-ACC HONORS Florida State head coach Amy Bond was named the ACC Coach of the Year for the first time in her career, and a school-record four Seminoles Matilda Castren, Lydia Gumm, Kim Metraux and Morgane Metraux were named to the All-ACC Women's Golf Team in a vote by the league's 12 head coaches. The Seminoles, who carded 20 of 35 team rounds under par (.625 percent), shot a 14-under par 270 in the first round of the Schooner Fall Classic on September 25, 2016 and carded three rounds at 12 strokes under par or better NCAA Division Low Stroke Average 1. Alabama Florida State Florida Arizona State Furman consecutive season at least one Seminole has been named to the team and the third time in the last four years multiple Seminoles have been named to the team. BOND IS A PERFECT SEVEN FOR SEVEN Amy Bond has led Florida State into the NCAA Championship tournament in each of her first seven seasons as Florida State s head coach. Bond s streak of seven consecutive NCAA Championship appearances ties the school record held by Debbie Dillman (Bond s coach at Florida State) who guided the Seminoles to seven consecutive NCAA appearances from 1991 through BOND LEADS FSU TO SIX TITLES Florida State Head Coach Amy Bond led Florida State to a school-record six team championships in (Schooner Fall Classic, Jim West Challenge, Cardinal Cup, Florida State Match-Up, Dickson Intercollegiate, Clemson Invitational). The Seminoles six team championships are one more than the Seminoles won during the season (Lady Gator Invitational, Lady Paladin Invitational, Dick McGuire Invitational, South Florida Invitational, A.I.A.W. National Championship) in winning the national championship. BOND HAS LED FSU TO 9 TITLES Florida State Head Coach Amy Bond, who Led the Seminoles to a single-year school record six wins in , is the third winningest coach in school history. 41 1981 AIAW national champions With two players finishing in the top 15 of the individual standings, the 1981 Florida State Women's golf team won the AIAW National Championship. The Seminoles, led by coach Verlyn Giles, finished in the top four of all ten regular season tournaments in which they participated. The team won the Lady Gator Invitational, the Lady Paladin Invitational, the Dick McGuire Invitational and the South Florida Invitational in Tampa, Fla. They also finished with one second place finish, four third place finishes, and one fourth place finish. After the first two rounds of the four-day tournament Florida State found itself down by eight strokes behind the host school, Georgia, and defending national champion Tulsa. The Seminoles shot a tournamentbest 298 in the third round and took over the lead from Georgia. The Seminoles finished strong in the fourth and final round outlasting Georgia on the last hole to win the tournament by three strokes. Seminole junior Lisa Young, who won three LPGA events later in her career, finished in third place in the individual standings only one shot behind the champions. Florida State s Barb Bunkowsky finished in a tie for 14th. Jane Geddes, the 1986 U.S. Women's Open and 1987 LPGA Championship winner, finished tied for 31st. Michele Guilbault finished 57th and Marla Anderson finished in a tie for 73rd. Young and Guilbault earned All-America First Team honors while Bunkowsky were honored with All- American Second Team honors. Four of the six members of the Florida State Athletics Hall of Fame were on the Seminoles National Championship team including Young, Bunkowsky, Guilbault and Geddes. Colleen Walker won nine events including the 1997 du Maurier Classic and earned nearly $3 million during her career as a decorated professional player. Lisa Young Walters won three events on the LPGA Tour including the 1988 Oldsmobile Classic and won more than $1 million during her career as a professional. 45 community service / ok kids korral When Tricia Covel, the wife of country music mega-star Toby Keith, came up with the idea of starting a golf tournament to raise funds for the OK Kids Korral for pediatric cancer patients, they brought 12 invitations to the Women s Golf Coaches Association s annual conference in When one of those 12 invitations was presented to Seminole head coach Amy Bond, she knew she had hit the jackpot. I was so excited for our program to have been chosen as one of the schools to play in the inaugural Schooner Fall Classic in 2013, said Bond. It is truly an honor to play in this event; one that I and the members of my team look forward to each season. The tournament has developed into one of the top events in women s college golf but, truthfully, it s about so much more than three great days on the golf course. The Toby Keith Foundation was started in 2006 and supports the OK Kids Korral a 25,000 square foot facility in Oklahoma City. The Korral is dedicated exclusively to serving the needs of pediatric cancer patients. 46 community service / directors cup The Florida State University women s golf team has won the prestigious Athletic Director s Cup for Community Service in 13 of the last 15 years. The award is presented each year at the Golden Nole Banquet one of the most important banquets of the year for all of Florida State s student athletes. The Athletic Director s Cup for Service began during the academic year in order to promote community service participation among all teams. The annual award recognizes the thousands of hours of community service Florida State student-athletes donate each year. Seminole student-athletes logged more than 6,100 community service hours in an increase of 500 hours from last year. Community service is very important to my teammates and me, said senior Sherrell Buckley. We make it a point to give back to the community ay time we have the chance. We are so very fortunate to be able to be student-athletes at Florida State and play the sport we love as Seminoles. With this privilege comes the responsibility to help others. We have the chance to help influence young lives in our community and we like to take advantage of every opportunity we have to help other. During the school year, the women s golf team combined for 287 total hours of community service for an average of over 26.0 hours per team member. Giving back to the community of one of the most rewarding things we do as a team, said head coach Amy Bond. We are very blessed to be members of the Florida State community and everyone is very supportive of us. It s nice to have the opportunity to spend time with others and raise funds for special causes. The best thing about serving our community is being in the community and encouraging togetherness. We enjoy that aspect of being members of the FSU family and make giving our time to others a regular part of our schedule. The women s golf team annually participates in the Tee Off for Tots Tournament presented by the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Healthcare Foundation. The Seminoles help raise charitable gifts and sponsorships that positively influence the medical outcomes of thousands of thousands of infants, children and their families. The annual event is held at Golden Eagle Country Club in Tallahassee and is in its 23rd year of raising money for those families in need of support for young children SEMINOLE WOMEN S GOLF G PAGE 45

47 ATLANTIC COAST CONFERENCE Consistency. It is the mark of true excellence in any endeavor. However, in today s intercollegiate athletics, competition has become so balanced and so competitive that it is virtually impossible to maintain a high level of consistency. Yet the Atlantic Coast Conference has defied the odds. Now in its 65th year of competition, the ACC has long enjoyed the reputation as one of the strongest and most competitive intercollegiate conferences in the nation. And that is not mere conjecture, the numbers support it. Since the league s inception in 1953, ACC schools have captured 150 national championships, including 75 in men s competition and 74 in women s and one in men s and women s fencing. In addition, NCAA individual titles have gone to ACC student-athletes 169 times in men s competition and 134 times in women s action. In the sport of women s golf, Duke is second in alltime NCAA championships with its six titles (1999, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2014), only trailing Arizona State s eight. Miami claimed one NCAA national title in 1984, before joining the ACC. Duke is third in NCAA individual champions, claiming four national medalists - Candy Hannemann (2001), Virada Nirapathpongporn (2002), Anna Grzebien (2005) and Virginia Elena Carta (2016). The conference recognized women s golf as a conference sport in when a minimum of four teams (Duke, North Carolina, NC State and Wake Forest) competed. After a five-year hiatus, women s golf became a sponsored sport once again in 1992 with Duke, Florida State, North Carolina and Wake Forest competing. NC State joined in Duke has won 20 ACC championships, followed by Wake Forest (five), Virginia (two) and North Carolina (two). Duke leads the schools in ACC individual championships with 17, followed by Wake Forest (seven), Virginia (two) and North Carolina (two). Duke held off Florida State to win the 2017 ACC team championship while Leona Maguire of Duke won the individual title. Florida State finished in a program record tying second place in 2017 the fourth time in school history the Seminoles had finished in second place in the ACC Championships. The second place finish marked the best finish under seventh-year head coach Amy Bond. Florida State has now finished in the top-five of the ACC Championships five times in seven years under Bond including three fourth place finishes in 2012, 2013 and 2015 An ACC-record 10 women s golf teams (Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Louisville, Miami, Notre Dame, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia and Wake Forest) were represented at the NCAA Regionals in The ACC sent eight teams to the NCAA Division I Championship in The 12 schools that will carry the ACC banner this season have produced 81 first or second team All- Americans, six National Player of the Years, five WGCA Division I Players of the Year, four national Freshmen of the Year and six National Coaches of the Year.
