Grove will be done first then Pecan. Expect at least 8 weeks for the work to be done plus weather days. It is the opinion of CIBGG to close the entire Grove Course while under repair. CIBGG is looking to hire a new manager. We should know soon. As some of you are aware, Pecan Grove will be offer public tee times in off time periods (mostly weekday afternoons). Please give high five to Dave Esch for doing double duty during the manager search. Please check the club s calendar for events during the month. We try to provide as much information as possible. If you are not receiving s or you are getting to many, please let us know. The Board of Governors serves in an advisory capacity to the Management of the Pecan Grove Plantation CC. Please seek out one of our board members if you have questions or would like to get more involved! Kevin is a native Houstonian and brings with him 14 years of experience in Golf & Country Clubs. He was most recently the Operations Manager at Sweetwater Country Club, but has spent time at River Plantation Country Club, Teravista Golf Club in Round Rock, TX and The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch. When he s not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing and cheering on the Houston Texans!

It is his fourth hole-in-one. John McElroy Scores Ace At Pecan Grove Long-time SMGA golfer John McElroy made a hole-in-one on July 27, 2018 at Pecan Grove Plantation Country Club. He aced the par 3 Plantation 8. It is his fifth hole-in-one.

The only thing worse than the wet course conditions were the impossible pin placements on many holes. However, competitors prevailed and scored well in the 2 Man Scramble event, played from the very front tee boxes on the course.
