6 INAUGURAL FISHING TOURNAMENT LGA s First Ever Bass Fishing Tournament Sunday, October 14, :45 am Blast Off 2:30 pm Weigh-in On the Red River, Pool 2, Levee Park, Alexandria, LA Entry Fee: $100/boat *All proceeds benefit LGA Marketing Committee Fund* Come on out to the beautiful Red River for LGA s FIRST EVER fishing tournament. 7 11TH ANNUAL MICHAEL HESTER BBQ COOK-OFF GENERAL INFORMATION We hope that you will join us at LGA s 11th Annual Michael Hester BBQ Cook-Off on Monday, October 15, Teams will be allowed to set up on Monday morning, October 15, 2018 at the Holiday Inn-Downtown, Alexandria, Louisiana. Teams will have a choice of which category they want to participate in: chicken, brisket, pork ribs or all three. Cooking was a passion of Mike Hester, and he took great pride in LGA s BBQ Cook-Off and other cooking events throughout the state every year. We honor him in a special way by dedicating this event in his name. Questions? Todd Hebert will be your point of contact for information regarding the th Annual Michael Hester BBQ Cook-Off. He may be reached at (337) COOK-OFF RULES/GUIDELINES The BBQ Cook-Off will take place from 5:00 AM until 4:00 PM (approximately) Team will consist of chief cook and as many assistants as the chief cook deems necessary. Competition meats will be inspected from 5:30 AM 9:00 AM the day of the contest No cooking or preparation of any kind may begin until the Official Meat Inspector has inspected the meat. Each team will provide pit/pits to be used exclusively by that team within its contest space. A chief cook or assistant(s) may NOT enter more than one team per contest. Judging TBD (approximately 2:00 PM Monday, October 15, 2018). Awards will be presented for each individual category and to the Grand Champion of all categories. Grand Champion will be determined by the highest total overall score in all categories combined. To be eligible to win, you must register for all three categories. A complete set of rules and additional information will be sent upon receipt of entry form.
