Get your golf clubs ready and shine those shoes. This is going to be a GREAT month at the Club with lots of activity. Dress attire is still more casual and nice jeans are acceptable in the Club or as golf attire (should weather permit). Proper Dress Code begins April 1! HAPPY ST. PATRICK S DAY Save the Date! ST. 2 From the Club House February flew by with a lot of parties and events. We had weddings, business meetings, showers and birthday parties to keep the staff busy all month. Valentine s Day was a huge success as usual. March is shaping up with more of the same. Have Your Next Family or Company Event Here! Many businesses are utilizing the banquet room for luncheons, meetings and parties, as well as athletic teams holding their banquets. Let us know if we can accommodate your company's needs. Summer is just around the corner so start planning your graduation parties, summer family reunions or Birthday parties at the Pool. Also, don t forget catering we can help with any party you might be planning! Starting on March 6th we will have Lenten seafood specials every Wednesday and Friday through Easter. Mark your calendar now for St. Patrick s Day Sunday, March 17th. We will be having your favorite Irish dishes all day and a party for the kids from 1-3. Come in and check out our new menu if you haven't had a chance yet. We have a new healthy choice page and are also offering smoothies. We ll even be happy to spike it for you! Friday, May 3rd at 7:00pm we will be having a Murder Mystery Dinner. The cost is $50 per person and will benefit JC Films upcoming production of "The Teen Zombie" being filmed at Bridgeport High School this Summer. Call to reserve your ticket! 3 MENS GOLF Opening Day Scramble is set for Saturday April 6th!!! We will have a Shotgun Sign Up sheet is in the hallway. We will have a Drawing Party on Friday, April 5th at 6:00PM. Golfers of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in the Opening Day Scramble. Golf, friends, food, and plenty of your favorite beverages will be available. DEMO DAY- Saturday, March 30th- Callaway and Taylormade will be here. Stop by and check out the latest equipment. Schedule a fitting on the Track Man or Launch Monitor to find the right clubs for you. Call Pro Shop for more details. SAVE THE DATE-Men's Member-Guest!!! This year's Men's Member-Guest will be played on June 7th,8th and 9th with the first 9-hole match being played Friday evening (June 7th). Please contact the golf shop with any questions and plan to join us for this great event!! Rules of Golf Seminar- The WVGA will be holding a Rules Seminar here at BCC on March 12th. Tired of lugging your clubs around in the car? Let us store them for you. We will keep them clean and have them loaded for you when you arrive to play. The fee is only $95 for the year. Please keep off the driving range tee as it has been aerified and seeded to allow it to heal and be ready to go in the spring. As the weather begins to turn, please do your part to take care of the golf course including following cart rules, replacing divots in the fairway and rough, fixing ball marks and raking bunkers. Please do your part to take care of our golf course! Dress Code starts on April 1st. Put the jeans away and hopefully get the shorts out. 4 SPRING JUNIOR GOLF CLINICS Every Tuesday from April 9th - May 7th Ages 6-10 (5:00-6:00) /Ages 11 and up (6:00-7:00) Each Student will progress through the U.S. Kids Golf Learning Program Clinics designed in a fun, positive and competitive environment to promote growth and enjoyment of the game Designed to allow each student to progress in learning through the 5 week program Led by USKG Top 50 Kids Coach Mike Gervais Topics Covered: Basic Rules/Etiquette, Fitness, Nutrition, Putting, Chipping, Pitching, Full-Swing Personal Confidence and Advancement, Respect for the Game 5 Week Program: $125/ Individual Sessions $30 PGA JUNIOR LEAGUE "BCC BOMBERS" Registration is now open for our PGA Junior League team the BCC Bombers. We will hold an informational meeting in the Spring to provide more information on the league. The PGA Junior League is available for those ages Must not turn 14 before August 1st. This is considered the Little League of Golf with teams competing against teams from other local golf courses. We are in the process of working with other clubs to form a league schedule for 2019! We tee off at 9:00 from May through August, 10:00 in April, September, and October. This year, we are going to try a Saturday morning Ladies golf. VJ suggested that we do tee times around 10:30 every other Saturday which would give those who work an opportunity to play with the Women s Golf Association. Ladies Saturday play will be on the following dates, May 4 and 18; June 1, 15, and 29; July 13 and 27; and August 10 & 24. 6

SUNDAY, MARCH 17TH FROM 1-3PM KID'S FISHING DAY It s time once again for Thomas annual Fishing Day! This is a fantastic event and Thomas always makes it extra special for everyone whether it s ensuring lots of fish to catch, cleaning your catch or helping pack it to go. So get your poles ready and come enjoy a fun filled day of fishing. The festivities start early on Saturday, March 30th. *Donations/sponsorships always appreciated to help stock the pond, contact Thomas or Christine if you would like to help!!
