2 About Cranberry Highlands Cranberry Highlands, voted Pennsylvania s best municipal golf course in 9 by Golf Digest, celebrates Western Pennsylvania s rugged natural landscape with a stunning 86-acre course created to provide a high-quality test of golf for players at every level. Built on an elevated landscape surrounded by wooded hills interspersed with steep ravines, Cranberry Highlands is a generously proportioned, par-70 course that follows the contours of its native fields and woodlands. Featuring 90 deeply sculpted sand bunkers and water hazards with more than 70 separate tee areas, Cranberry Highlands provides a challenging course with wide landing areas and large undulating greens. From its front tees at 4,70 yards, to its championship back tees at 6,5, players will find a readily walkable course, discretely linked by cart paths, ringed in the timber stock that defines the region. They will also find a balanced natural environment in which golfers and wildlife live and play in harmony. In January of 9, Cranberry Highlands was designated an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. That certification recognized its extensive program of environmentally sensitive property management methods. In addition to its challenging and well-maintained golf links, Cranberry Highlands which is owned and operated by Cranberry Township of Butler County offers comprehensive hospitality packages for business, personal, and civic events at its Clubhouse which includes a flexible banquet room, a bar/grill, and a furnished patio with its adjoining open-air Audubon Pavilion. Cranberry Highlands Golf Instruction and Practice Facility, which features its own grass and mat tee areas as well as a sand bunker, two putting greens and a driving range, is open from mid-april through mid-october. Private golf lessons and clinics, as well as multiple lesson packages with our resident PGA Teaching Professional, are also available. Cranberry Highlands Pro Shop, in the Clubhouse, is open for business throughout the year.
