Now you can when you purchase a permanent tee time for either Saturday or Sunday morning at Bonnie Brook. For $320 per foursome you can forget about having to call every week to secure your golf reservation. Permanent tee times go for 22 weeks beginning April 16 and 17 and ending September 17 and 18. (Permanent tee times will not be available the weekend of August 20 and 21 for Bonnie Brook Championship Weekend). The lottery for permanent tee times will be on Thursday, April 7th at 6:30 pm. 2 SPECIAL EVENTS Enjoy a little friendly competition and play for some great prizes all season long with special events at Bonnie Brook: Bonnie Brook Championship Weekend August 20 &21 Starting a new tradition here at the Brook, both the Men s and Women s Championships will be held this weekend. Tee times will be in the morning both days and there will not be permanent tee times this weekend. All players must have a valid USGA Handicap and at least 10 posted rounds in On Sunday afternoon we will have an awards ceremony that will include a buffet for all participants. Drive, Chip and Putt Competition # Age 6-15 Join the Waukegan Park District and The First Tee of Greater Chicago for a fun- filled golf competition. The competition is open to boys and girls ages Boys and girls will compete in separate divisions in four age categories: 6-9 years; years; years; and years. Each participant will compete in three skills (Drive, chip and putt) and will accumulate points in each skill. The participant with the highest number of accumulated points will be declared the Overall Champion of his or her age category. Ribbons will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category. BBGC SA 5/7 1-4pm FREE -1A Get Ready to Play Age 17 + Sign up for our Get Ready to Play Golf program and learn how to play the game in five weeks. Learn from one of our PGA professionals in a relaxed, no stress environment. Simple instruction with proven results is what you will discover with this class. The fundamentals of the grip, set-up, full swing, chipping, and putting will be covered. On-course instruction will be provided as well. Participants will have the opportunity to use the practice facilities at Bonnie Brook for free during this five week program. This class is a perfect opportunity to meet other ladies like yourself who are interested in playing golf. The last week will culminate in on course instruction at Greenshire Golf Course. 3 Greenshire Golf Course Are you looking for a great golf experience that won t take up your entire day and is fun for the whole family? Greenshire Golf Course is the choice. One of the best conditioned, nine hole par 27 golf courses in the area is a great opportunity to enjoy the game for new players, kids, ladies or even experienced golfers looking to sharpen their short game. Open Junior League Age 7-17 Juniors ages 7 to 17 are welcome to attend and make new friends through the game of golf. Greens Fees are reduced to $3 per junior and there are open times from 8-11am every Monday at Greenshire Golf Course. No pre-registration necessary! Just show up any Monday between 6/13 and 8/1 and your child will be paired up with other junior golfers. Recommended for the junior golfer that has played several rounds of golf or more. A different event and prizes each week! Parents are encouraged to walk along with the younger juniors. GS MO 6/13-8/1 8-11am Greenshire Green Fees Quality Junior Golf Instruction There are so many options and activitie to choose for your child that it can be a little overwhelming. When you are considering those options, quality golf instruction with caring instructors at Waukegan Park District can be a great choice. In addition to being a great challenge and very enjoyable, golf can teach many important life skills including honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and determination. We offer instruction to all levels of junior golfers in a fun and safe environment. There are several different options to choose from below: Greenshire Wednesday Ladies League Our nine hole ladies golf league will take place on Wednesday mornings from June 3 to August 5. Tee times for the league will start each Wednesday at 7:30am and registration for the league will take place on May 20 at Greenshire beginning at 9am. This is a unique league for all women. Your level of play makes no difference as this is a great way to meet fellow golfers. Come have fun! Golf Outing Packages Greenshire offers a variety of gofl outing packages. The First Tee of Greater Chicago along with the PGA Professional staff at Bonnie Brook will work together to help kids discover how the skills essential to success on the golf course can help them flourish in life as well. Golf Clubs will be provided to kids that need them. Juniors will move up to the Par level after completing all the requirements of the PLAYer level. After completing the requirements for the Par level the juniors will advance to the Birdie level. Must be at least 7 years of age. $75 per participant. In-person sign up available at Bonnie Brook Golf Course or online at Scholarships are available. Fees will include: 12 hours of golf and life skills instruction, a hat, t-shirt, bag tag, curriculum book and be eligible for local and national educational leadership events free of charge.
