2 History of the Tournament The Not-So-Serious Golf Outing celebrates its 11th anniversary in Championed by Jessica Erstad and the Angels Baseball organization in its early years, the Not-So-Serious Golf Outing has returned to the leadership of community volunteers and is an opportunity for Orange County s most influential women and friends to come together for a day of golf, fun, and giving. Over the past decade, the tournament has raised nearly half a million dollars for the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center s programs that bring support and home to families facing family violence and poverty. This year s Wonderland tee party tournament returns to Coyote Hills Golf Course in Fullerton, CA, one of Orange County s premier golf clubs overlooking the majestic rolling foothills of the city. With games on each hole, great food, and fabulous live auction prizes, the outing promises a day filled with excitement and fun for all who attend.

4 The Need for Support E ach year in our community, there are 35,000 calls for help for families facing child abuse and neglect. Unfortunately, these calls only represent the fraction of the need in Orange County. Tragically, over 75% of child abuse is inflicted by the child s own parents. The need is great, but the Child Abuse Prevention Center is here to help. Over the past 30 years, our various programs have brought support to more than 286,000 children. By supporting families in their time of need and providing vital parent education and resources, we are able to break the cycle of violence one family at a time. In order to better serve the children and families facing abuse and neglect, we need your help. 100% of the proceeds from the Not-So-Serious Golf Outing will support our in-home child abuse prevention programs many of which are facing limited funding and potential budget cuts. Your support can make an impact on our programs and help us respond to the needs of kids in our community. We thank you for joining us in our fight against child abuse.
