4 SCORES on the HNA System Scores made under the following conditions are NOT acceptable for handicap purposes and should not be entered in any form in the player s scoring record: a) When the score cannot be ratified by a playing partner or competitor b) When the types of clubs are limited (as in a competition in which only iron clubs are allowed). c) When the round played includes the use of Mulligans. d) Competition Match Play Rounds e) When more than one ball is used f) When the course is not officially rated. g) When the player uses non-conforming clubs, balls or tees, or with respect to Rule 14-3 (Rules of Golf) where an artificial device is used in the execution of stroke or when equipment is used in an unusual manner during the execution of a stroke. Should any of the above apply, a NO RETURN MUST be entered for the round IMPORTANT NOTE - BETTERBALL SCORES As per Section 5.4 of the HNA Handicap manual, ALL Betterball scores must be submitted onto the system for handicap calculation purposes. The rule reads as follows: Unfinished holes / conceded strokes. A player who starts, but does not finish a hole, or has conceded a stroke, must record the most likely score they would have achieved. This adjusted gross score, is to be submitted for handicap purposes, to the SAGA Handicap System.
