The UCLA women s golf program completed another successful season in 2010, thanks to the stewardship of Head Coach Carrie Forsyth who completed her 11 th season. For the first time in its history, UCLA finished the season as the consensus No.1 ranked team in the three major collegiate polls: the coaches poll, the GolfWeek rankings and the GolfStat ratings. In 11 starts this season, the Bruins recorded nine podium results and finished out of the Top 5 once. UCLA posted six runner-up finishes, a third at the Bruin Wave Invitational and tied for fourth at the Regional Challenge. UCLA s sixth place finish at the NCAA Championship was its fourth consecutive Top 10 national result. UCLA s victories came at the Betsy Rawls Invitational and at the PING/ASU event. Three players Stephanie Kono, Sydnee Michaels and Tiffany Lua earned All-America honors and Kono, Michaels, Lua and sophomore Brianna Do were named to the 2010 All-Pac-10 Team. Kono and junior Glory Yang were named to the 2010 Pac-10 All-Academic Team. In addition, Kono and Lua played for the U.S. Curtis Cup Team in June. The Americans won their seventh straight title against a team from Great Britain & Ireland. After 11 full seasons, Forsyth has guided the Bruins to 34 team titles, including five regional championships, three conference crowns and a national championship in She has coached 19 different players to All-Pac-10 honors. Fourteen separate players have earned All-America distinction. In addition, a dozen UCLA players have won 21 individual tournament crowns, including Kono (3) and Yang (1). Under Forsyth s guidance, the Bruins have advanced to 10 consecutive NCAA Women s Golf Championships, a school record. UCLA has recorded seven podium finishes and three other Top 10 results. On May 13, the NCAA National Office recognized Forsyth and her team for their stellar Academic Performance Rate (APR), which was 100% during a multiyear period.

2 Women s Golf Notes (July 2010) Sydnee Michaels Senior Temecula, Calif Stroke Avg.: 73.1 Career Tournament Victories: 2 Ranked 15 th by GolfWeek (5/25) and 24 th by GolfStat (5/31). Earned nd Team All-America honors from the NGCA and GolfWeek. Earned st Team All-Pac-10 honors. Recorded seven T20 results in 10 starts. Best finish was T2 at the Mason Rudolph Invitational with scores of (-7). Also T5 th at Betsy Rawls T6 th at Stanford the following week. Led the team with a 97% counter ratio. Named second alternate on 2010 U.S. Curtis Cup Team % 18.2% 8.7% Glory Yang Junior Seoul, South Korea Stroke Avg.: 74.8 Career Tournament Victories: 1 Ranked 80 th by GolfWeek (5/25) and 107 th by GolfStat (5/31). Named 2010 All-Pac-10 Honorable Mention. Also earned HM All-Pac-10 Academic honors T12 th at the NCAA West Regional. T10 th at the Pac-10 Championship and posted a 71 (-1) in the final round. Best finish was sixth at the Regional Challenge with scores of (+9). Also T16 th at the Turtle Bay event in November. Made the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 Director s Honor Rolls. She has earned DHR honors six times % 21.2% 5.0% Stephanie Kono Sophomore Honolulu, HI 2010 Stroke Avg.: 72.0 Career Tournament Victories: 3 Ranked 7 th by GolfWeek (5/25) and GolfStat (5/31). Consensus 1 st Team All-American. Named 1 st Team All-Pac-10. T8 th at the Pac-10 Championship. T10 th at the NCAA West Regional, her second straight Top 10 regional result. Played on the victorious 2010 U.S. Curtis Cup Team. Won the PING/ASU title by making a 50-foot putt on the 54 th hole. The putt also gave the Bruins the team title over ASU, which led by 12 shots entering the final round. Kono s 66 (-6) in the final round was the low round of the tournament. She earned UCLA/Muscle Milk Athlete of the Week and GolfWorld Player of the Week. Recorded eight Top 10 results in 10 starts, including six in the Top 5. Led the team in Top 10 finishes (8), rounds under par (14), and rounds under 70 (6). Played 30 rounds in six-over par % 41.2% 19.0%

3 Brianna Do Sophomore Long Beach, CA 2010 Stroke Avg.: 74.0 Ranked 49 th by GolfWeek (5/25) and 63 rd by GolfStat (5/31) Fired a 68 (-4), a career low, in the first round of the NCAA Championship. Also posted a 70 (-2) in the final round. Earned 2 nd Team All-Pac-10. Recorded four Top 20 results in 10 starts. Best result was T3 rd at Betsy Rawls event with scores of (+4). T6 th at Stanford, which included a 69 (-2) in the second round. T27th at the NCAA Championship, UCLA s top finisher. Posted a 71 (-1) in the second round. Competed on the victorious 2010 U.S. Curtis Cup Team along with Stephanie Kono.
