3 NHDLGA ANNUAL TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS OF PLAY To be read in conjunction with NHDLGA Standard Conditions of Play and Golf NSW Code of Conduct. 1. Event Procedure 1.1 The NHDLGA Open Championship will be played as a 36 Hole stroke event over two days. 1.2 The NHDLGA Closed Championship will be played as a 36 Hole stroke event over two days & open only to players from clubs affiliated with the NHDLGA. 1.3 The events are open to all amateur women golfers who are members of clubs affiliated with Golf Australia and hold an official Golf Australia handicap. 1.4 The winner of the NHDLGA Open Championship will be the player with the best scratch score over 36 holes. In the event of the tournament being reduced to one day of 18 holes the best scratch score for 18 holes will be declared the winner of the Open Championship. 1.5 Divisions will be determined after entries close, by the number of entries received. 1.6 Handicaps will not vary during the 36 Hole tournament. 1.7 Entrants eligible for the Jean Derrin Trophy must have a GA handicap of 14 or less and entrants eligible for the Senior Order of Merit must have a GA handicap of 29.4 or less and have attained the age of 55 years by Day 1 of the Amateur Championship. Date of Birth, address and mobile phone number will be required on the Entry Form for this event. 1.8 Entrants eligible for the Beryl Tobin Trophy must have a GA handicap of 16.0 or less and belong to a NHDLGA affiliated club. 2. Rules of Play 2.1 As adopted by R & A Limited and the Local Rules of the host clubs. 2.2 The tournament Match Committee is the Match Committee of the NHDLGA or its appointees. 2.3 The Committee reserves the right to refuse entry and settle all disputes. 3. 4 4. Ties 3.2 In the event of entry applications exceeding the number of places available, precedence will be given in order of receipt of entry. 3.3 Entry fees are not transferable and entry fees will not be refunded after the closing date. 3.4 There will be no post entries. 3.5 All players must enter on their Golf Australia handicap and play off the Daily Handicap applicable to the host club. Players must provide proof of handicap. 3.6 Clubs are restricted to only one team in each of the team events. 4.1 In the event of a tie for the winner of the NHDLGA Open Championship there will be a sudden death playoff on holes to be determined by the Committee. 4.2 Ties in all other divisions and events will be decided by the Golf Australia recommended countback method. 4.3 Ties in team events will be decided by the GA recommended countback method if applicable. 5. Trophies 5.1 Players are eligible to win only one 36 Hole trophy. The Closed Championship is open only to players from clubs affiliated with NHDLGA. 5.2 Perpetual Trophies will be awarded at the discretion of the Committee. 6. Motorised Transport, Mobile Phones, Distance Measuring Devices, Pace of Play 6.1 As per NHDLGA Standard Conditions of Play. 6.2 Players with similar handicaps may nominate to share a cart with only a two shot difference permitted from the same Division. 7. Registration 7.1 Players must register 30 minutes before their starting time and be ready to play 10 minutes before their tee time. 8. Database of Entrants Details Golf NSW The personal data contained in an entry is permanently retained by Golf NSW. This data may be utilised by Golf NSW or its sponsors for the distribution of correspondence, in both electronic and hard copy means. From time to time players may be sent Entry Forms, event literature, the Golf NSW e-newsletter, or marketing material by the sponsor(s) of Golf NSW events, or information about events conducted by Golf NSW-approved bodies. Upon receipt by Golf NSW of a written request, a player may either have access to their details, or have their details deleted from the database.
