The Lower Bucks and Central Bucks Family YMCA will be held in a scramble format on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Jericho National Golf Club in New Hope, PA. Shotgun start is at 12:30pm sharp. John Burriss was a Bristol Borough High School Latin Teacher with an extraordinary commitment to youth. In 1935, John and a group of students laid the foundation for the YMCA movement in Lower Bucks County by establishing the first Hi-Y Club in the area.

5 ABOUT THE COURSE: Jericho National made its debut in 1999 and was designed by the world-class architectural team of Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. Known for the dramatic bunkering and contoured greens, Jericho National has quickly become one of the most challenging and enjoyable golf courses in the region. It was designed to play firm with fast putting surfaces and this concept has remained since inception. The natural beauty offered by Jericho Mountain and its surroundings make for a spectacular golf experience on this exceptionally conditioned private club. RULES AND REGULATIONS: Dress Code: Men must wear a shirt with a traditional collar or current fashion collar. Tee shirts are not acceptable. Ladies are permitted to wear tops that have either a collar, sleeves or both. Bermuda length shorts are recommended. No cargo shorts, slacks or blue jeans are permitted. Dresses, skirts, slacks and golf shorts up no more than four inches above the knee are appropriate. Shoes with metal spikes or cleats are prohibited. Sneakers and dress sandals are considered appropriate. Flip Flops are not. SCRAMBLE PLAY: A scramble means that all team members tee off on each hole and then decide which tee shot they like the best and mark the spot with a tee or ball marker. The other team members pick up their balls and place them within one club length (no closer to the hole) of the marked spot. Each team member hits their next shot from the chosen spot. This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole, including putts. The ball should be marked on the putting green. Putts need to be placed within 3 inches of the marked spot (no closer to the hole). The first ball to go in the hole is counted for the team score. You may lift, clean and place your ball within one club length on the selected shot; however, you may not move your ball out of a hazard (including bunkers), out of the rough, from the fairway or rough to the apron or from the apron to the green.
