3 ABOUT TURNING POINT Turning Point was established as an emergency shelter for youth in the juvenile justice system in Today, Turning Point is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to turning lives around for youth struggling with behavior, mental health and/or substance abuse issues. It has grown to become a multi-service agency offering a continuum of services including: Crisis intervention services Substance abuse treatment & prevention Mental health treatment Adolescent day treatment programs Outpatient therapies and treatment Coaching and mentoring programs Individualized education Short and long-term intensive residential treatment Our programs give youth the skills to make better decisions and healthier life choices. Therapeutic treatment and support combine to offer a brighter future for each of the kids in our care. Throughout Turning Point s history, the agency has adjusted programming to respond to growing community needs. Turning Point serves more than 2,000 youth, families, and individuals each year. Our qualified and experienced staff and our extensive continuum of care combined with the agency s four decades of experience allow us to better treat youth and families using the programs and services they need, no matter the intensity of their troubles and challenges.

4 2015 Turning Point s Golf Tournament is now in it s 13 th year. Always a success, the Golf Tournament welcomes golfers of all levels and abilities to have a great time on the course to raise much needed funding for a great cause. The tournament format will be a four-person scramble with a morning shotgun start. Enjoy 18 holes of great golf and fun games. Once again this year, a hole-in-one wins a brand new car from Pedersen Toyota/Scion. A lunch award banquet follows golf with tasty food provided by Tavern on the Green at Highland Meadows. The great brewers at Dry Dock Brewing Co. will be providing their acclaimed craft beer complimentary on the course and at the banquet Drive FORE! the Point will be held Friday, June 12, 2015 at Highland Meadows Golf Course in Windsor, Colorado. 5 Turning Point s annual Awesome Toss Em Cornhole Tournament has become the largest event of its kind in Northern Colorado will be the 4th year of the event and it continues to grow each year. Not just a Cornhole tournament, this event provides live music, great food and beverages, and fun prizes including a costume contest for the best dressed teams. The round robin format makes it enjoyable for both amateurs and experts. A truly unique and fun event! 2015 Awesome Toss Em Cornhole Festival will he held Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Civic Center Park, Fort Collins. Odell Brewing Company will once again provide delicious craft beer and awesome contest prizes. We anticipate the event will raise $30,000 for Turning Point programs and services. 6 Old Town Zombie Fest has become one of our city s favorite community events. The event has grown exponentially over the course of five years and now welcomes a crowd in the thousands to Fort Collins prior to Halloween. A true community event, Zombie Halloween Fest draws the participation and support of more than 55 Old Town Fort Collins shops and restaurants, and includes volunteers from numerous organizations and schools around town. Event activities include the Kidz Krawl for children ages 2-12, the Zombie Crawl for all ages, and the Zombie Ball - an event for Zombie revelers aged 21 and up.
