2 Yellow & Finch Publishers invites golfers and non-golfers, alike to the 8 th Annual Maritime Charity Golf Event, Thursday 13 September Last year the Maritime Charity Golf Event raised 6, HUT 13 DZ HUT Registration is open to all professionals connected to the maritime industry. cliniclowns All proceeds of the event go to the CliniClowns Foundation. CliniClowns have been visiting children in hospitals in the Netherlands since Through their personal approach and broad imagination, the CliniClowns engage and entertain hospitalised children. The effect of this interaction on the children s treatment and healing process has proved to be very positive. Playing together, reducing anxiety and relieving pain allows children HUT 7 6 WC to laugh again, to relax and regain trust. Approximately 70 clowns currently make their rounds in 100 hospitals and other care institutions throughout the Netherlands. On an annual basis, CliniClowns entertain more than 90,000 ill and handicapped children. LOCATION The maritime golf event will be held at the Golfclub Grevelingenhout, an 18-hole golf course in the Dutch province of Zeeland. 18-HOLE TEXAS SCRAMBLE Texas Scramble is one of the most popular tournament constructions in golf, used in pro-am golf tournaments and charity events, especially those involving professional athletes from other sports. Texas Scramble offers numerous formats for fun-loving golfers, each involving a combination of strategy, camaraderie, skill and heartbreak. All great fun when played in the right spirit! 3 CLINIC The golf clinic is for those who have never played golf before and for golfers who are working towards the Golf Ability Certificate (GVB). The clinic provides each golfer the opportunity to participate at his/her own playing level and to enjoy a pleasant day in a typical South-Holland setting. The clinic is followed by a golf match that will take place on the par-3 course. Golfing equipment will be provided for the clinic. NETWORKING EVENT The Maritime Charity Golf Event brings the maritime world together, giving participants plenty of time to network not only during the day, but also during the evening s events which include a gourmet dinner buffet and awards ceremony. Participation is restricted to a maximum number of players, so please register early. Feel free to let us know which other golfers or colleagues you would like to participate with. The event will receive coverage in Yellow & Finch s maritime magazines with special mention of the sponsors. Participants and donors will receive an invoice (without VAT) for their registration fees. FUND RAISING Sponsors and donors are welcome and needed to make this charity event a fundraising success. Our sponsorship packages can be found in this brochure.
