12 YOUR FAQs Is there a dress code with Marriott Golf? There is on the golf course but not in or around the Country Club and its facilities How busy does the course get mid-week and at the weekends? We advise that you pre book a tee-time. We have member s priority tee-times each day of the week What competitions does the club run? Club competitions are scheduled every Saturday, including major s competitions i.e Captains Day, Club Championships. We also have Wednesday competitions throughout the summer and a Winter League. What social events take place? We hold various functions throughout the year including Christmas and New Year plus events in conjunction with the Leisure Club What provisions are there for new members to meet and socialise with existing members? We hold quarterly members evenings where new members have the opportunity to be introduced to existing members. Competition tee times are drawn to encourage new members to meet existing members. What benefits am I entitled to at other Marriott Golf venues? You get complimentary use of all other participating Marriott UK Golf venues. We will take care of you tee-time bookings What benefits are there if I want to bring a friend to play with me? We are happy to look after your guests. Throughout the year we will have special offers where friends can join you for free. All other times they will be eligible for a reduced member s guest fee rate Do I need a golf handicap? Not necessarily for your membership but you will need one to play in competitions How do I get a recognised handicap? Play with any fellow members and submit three signed score cards signed by them. If you already have a handicap from your previous club, this can be transferred to us.
