2 2018 Tournament Information Golf Course: The Fortress has been recognized by Golf Digest and Golfweek magazine as one of Michigan s top 25 golf courses. Oversized greens and rolling terrain makes the course an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all levels. The Fortress reflects some of golf s early Scottish origins with fescue covered mounds with well-guarded sectioned greens. The Fortress encompasses over 6800 yards of play on a par 72 course. We are certain that you will enjoy the Fortress and Zehnder s experience! NAGA Tournament: The tournament will be a 54-hole stroke play event. The overall winner must play from the Championship tees. All players have the option to play from the Championship Tees including Ladies and Seniors for all 3 days. In the event of a tie for the Championship (Men/Ladies/Seniors) there will be a sudden death playoff. All other ties will use a card-off process in accordance with the USGA guidelines. Senior Tournament: The Senior tournament will also be a 54-hole stroke play event. Seniors (50-59), Super-Seniors (60-69), and Super-Super-Seniors (70+) will play from the designated gold Senior tees. The Super-Super-Senior participants will have the option to play from the red tees to compete for their division title only, but will not be eligible for the overall senior championship. Clarifying competing for both championships: If a Senior, Super-Senior, or Super-Super-Senior wishes to play for the overall NAGA tournament title they must play from the championship tees for the duration of the event. If a Super-Super-Senior wished to play for the overall Senior title they must play from the gold tees for the duration of the Senior event. Eligibility: All NAGA members and Associate members; non-members can submit membership fees to gain entry. The field will be limited to 120 golfers, with consideration given first to life members, and then those members who are current with their 2015 NAGA dues. Amputees will have first consideration over associate members if the 120 spots have been filled. If necessary, please include your 2015 NAGA dues with your official tournament application, and check the appropriate box. Associate Division: There will be an Associate Division for all able bodied participants. To be eligible the participant must be a NAGA Associate Member in good standing or pay Associate membership

3 fees prior to or during registration. Awards will be given to the top three participants of the division based on a NET score with a verified handicap. Net Championship and Senior Net Champion: There will be only one award and the winner may come from any Division. Only those who have a current valid golf handicap either from the USGA/RCGA or a locally recognized organization will be considered and will be verified prior to the competition. Please fill in the information on your entry form as to your handicap index number and an /phone number where it can be verified. USAGA Para-Golf Championship: NAGA is helping the USAGA with their efforts to push for golf to be included in the para-lympics. The USAGA will be organizing a separate tournament during the championship week that our participants have the opportunity to also play in. For disabled golfers that would like to compete for the USAGA para-golf championship, please go to for registration. The rounds that you play for the NAGA championship will count towards your scores for the USAGA Para-Golf Championship. Due to classification test that need to be conducted prior to the event, the USAGA may contact you in regards to setting that up. Practice Rounds: Practice rounds are available Saturday August 18th, Sunday August 19 th, and August 20 th on a first-come-first-served basis. Saturday, Sunday and Monday Practice: Weekend rate including cart is $ Tee times may be made 7 days in advance by calling We will have a Sponsor Scramble on Monday, shotgun start at 1:00 pm so individual practice times may be limited or not available on Monday. Sponsor Scramble: There will be a Sponsors Scramble on Monday August 20th with a shotgun start at 1:00pm for a cost of $65. Participants are strongly encouraged to participate, but not required. Teams will consist of foursomes, with a mix of amputees and sponsors. Participation will be determined on a first-come-first-served basis. Guests are welcome to play at a fee of $100.00, based on availability. Monday Welcome Reception/Sponsor Scramble Awards: Included in your entry fee is this Monday evening event that will be hosted in the pavilion at the Fortress golf course following the scramble. If you do not participate in the scramble, please come out to the course for a fun night of meeting the sponsors.

4 Bag Storage: A limited amount of overnight bag storage available at the golf course for your security and tournament convenience. Please help our golf course staff by having a name tag on your bag and generously compensating them for their services. Dress Code: The Fortress is a soft spike facility. Men are required to wear golf shirts with collars and sleeves, and either slacks or shorts of appropriate length. Women can wear slacks, shorts, culottes, and golf skirts of the appropriate length with golf shirts (sleeveless tops are permitted). Air Travel: Bishop International airport (FNT) is the best spot to fly into!! Which is about 35 minutes from Frankenmuth, Mi. Many International players will be arriving in Detroit Mi (DTW) which is approximately 90 minuet drive to the Fortress. Car Rentals are available at both locations. Their unique location on the banks of the Cass River allows guest the best of both worlds: a quick walk to the shops and attractions of Michigan s Little Bavaria and the seven acres of amenities that the Inn has to offer. A letter or will be sent to notify the payer that the check or credit card charge has been denied. The notification will specify that the amount due must be paid by certified check or money order (in U. S. funds) to satisfy the obligation. If a payment is rejected for a tournament entry fee, the entry will be denied until the obligation is paid. The member will be placed in non-member status until all obligations are satisfied, including a fee of $25.00 U.S. added to all applicable charges of rejected check/credit card.
