Thank you for supporting our 5th Annual Cherry City Electric Charity Golf Tournament! This tournament will prove to be the biggest and best tournament to date, making it the Tournament of Choice for Portland/SW Washington. We are relocating to Camas Meadows, an 18-hole Championship Golf Course located in beautiful Camas, Washington. Funds raised from this year s tournament will help support the Holtzman Twins Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Specifically, we are donating all proceeds towards the purchase of GE Panda Resuscitation Beds for use in the Family Birth Center. Not -So-Important Golf Facts: Golf is the only sport that has been played on the moon. On February 6, 1971, Alan Shepard hit two golf balls while on the lunar surface Not all golf balls have the same number of dimples. Golf balls have anywhere from 330 to 500 dimples. The ideal ball will have between 380 and 432 dimples. Camas Meadows Hole #11 Par: 4/3 Men's Handicap: 6 Ladies Handicap: 16 Camas Meadows was built as nature intended. The course has a great mix of treelined and winding fairways overlooking grassy flower filled meadows. Hazards include 50 sand bunkers, natural wetlands, trees and water features.

Family Birth Center Panda Resuscitation Beds PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center is committed to being the best when it comes to caring for our community s newborns. Offering one of the finest family birth centers in the region, the Birth Center delivers over 3,000 babies every year. As part of its desire to provide the best care for infants and keep the most fragile babies in their home community, PeaceHealth Southwest launched a fundraising campaign to build a NICU right here in Clark County, which was completed a little over 2 years ago. The Holtzman Twins Neonatal Intensive Care Unit helps families stay together regardless of the medical needs of their newest members. Any parent who has had a child and spent time in the NICU can attest to the fact that the closer that child is to home, the better it is for everyone. In 2010 two very special, highly sophisticated beds were purchased. These beds, called Panda Resuscitation Beds, incorporate phototherapy, warming, oxygen, a scale and mini Neo-puff ventilator/respirator into one unit. The phototherapy and warming helps keep babies healthy by keeping them warm and preventing cold stress. The fully height-adjustable unit directs all of its heat to the infant, making it more comfortable for caregivers. The units allow room for 6-7 caregivers and improve the team s ability to work together by allowing them to easily see both the baby and the built-in display monitors. Most importantly they have all the necessary equipment attached for emergency resuscitation needs. The Family Birth Center also has 6 Giraffe Beds that are about 7 years old. These beds provide the heating necessary for fragile babies but do not offer resuscitation equipment. Over the past 7 years the standards for oxygen mixture for infants have changed and additionally these special beds have gotten plenty of use and need to be replaced. The Family Birth Center would like to purchase (7) Panda Resuscitation Beds to replace the aged Giraffe Beds and ensure that every child born will have access to these highly specialized beds should they need it.
