1 1. Bounce House- There will be a limit to how many kids can be one time & you would be responsible for keeping track of their time & helping w/ set up & tear down. 2. Dunk Tank- Stoney s RV is lending us their dunk tank. 4 volunteers- 3 to be in the tank & 1 to pass out the balls & give a ticket to those who hit the target. 3. Balloon Artist- You will need to PRACTICE this several times before the event. I will have a book & we will only make a couple of animals. If you know how to do this already I REALLY need your help. If not but you are willing to LEARN that is great too!! 4. Mini Golf- Mark Secrest is letting us borrow his mini golf. If they get the ball in the hole you will give them a ticket. 5. NEW!!! Special Music- I would like to see SEVERAL people from our church sign up to sing a song during the event. The goal is mostly CHILDREN & TEENS!!! I will have a policy of Christian music only! This is a great opportunity for the kids to be a testimony to their peers. Please only sign up if you can make this commitment. 6. Treasure Box- a mixture of different tickets will be buried in sand in a box. You will just make sure they only reach in & find 1 ticket. 7. Candy Grab- You will let each child to grab 1 handful of candy out of a big bucket. 8. Face Painting- You will paint pictures on children s faces OR put on a TEMPORARY TATOO!! 9. Treasure Dig- You will fill big bucket with rice & tickets of different values. The kids will be allowed 1 chance to find 1 ticket. 10. Goliath- I have a Goliath picture on a big piece of wood. You will have a nerf sling shot that the kids are 2 tries to try to hit Goliath on the X. If they succeed they will receive a ticket. We may cut a hole in it this year to make the goal easier. 11. Ring It- You will give each person 2 diving rings to toss at empty 2 liter bottles arranged in a bowling formation. They will receive a ticket for each successful time they get the ring around a bottle. 12. Ring It Again- You will give each person 2 diving rings to toss at a prize. If they get the ring around a prize they win it. 13. Muffin Pan Toss- You will give each person 3 pennies to toss at a muffin pan that is numbered. You will give tickets according to how many numbers they won. Example: I got a penny in a 1 & a 3, so I get 4 tickets.
2 14. Knock Off- You will put ping pong balls on 2 liter bottles. Each person will race against another person to squirt the ping pong balls off the bottle. The winner will receive 2 tickets & runner up gets Creation Station- There will be a couple of crafts to choose from. You will help the children & make sure everyone gets the supplies they need (1 pkg & craft glue close by). At least 2 leaders will be needed for this station. 16. Can Alley- A Tupperware container will set on its side & has cans hung by strings. They will shoot at the cans with a nerf gun. Each can hit will earn them a ticket. 3 tries allowed. 17. Leap Frog- You will have several lilly pads w/ numbers on them. The players are to toss a beanie baby frog at the lilly pads. The number that it lands the closest to will be the number of tickets they are awarded. 18. Noah s Super Boat Race- We will use the old Sparks Regatta to have 2 kids race to see who can get their boat to the other end the quickest. They will blow on the boat to get it to move. No hands allowed. Give 2 tickets to the winner & 1 to the runner up. 19. Basketball Shoot- Port s portable basketball hoop will be used to have 2 kids try to make a basket first. The one to make it in first wins 2 tickets. The runner up will get 1 ticket. 20. Water Sponge Toss- You will give 2 sponges to each person & they will attempt to toss the sponge into a bucket. A ticket is awarded for each time they make it. 21. Floating Ducks- You will fill a small blow up kiddy pool with water & several rubber ducks. The ducks have a number written on the bottom. A ticket will be awarded for the number on the duck they pick. 22. Sucker tree- You will have a sucker display with several suckers. If there is a black mark on the tip of the stick they pick, they win 2 tickets 1 ticket if not. 23. Bowling- You will set up a toy bowling set. If they knock down 4 or less pins they will get 1 ticket, 5 or more earns 2 tickets & a strike earns 3 tickets. 24. Football Toss- The churches hanging tire will need to be set up & you will allow each person 3 tries to throw a football through the tire. A ticket can be given for each time they make it. 25. Dart Throw- You will need to hang blown up balloons on a cork board. Each person will be given 3 darts. For each balloon they pop they win a ticket Liter Toss- You will give 2 softballs to each person & they will attempt to knock down empty 2 liter bottles filled w/ ½ water. A ticket is awarded for each time they knock one down. 27. Fish Game- We have a fishing game w/ fish that have metal on them & a fishing pole w/ a magnet. The fish have numbers on the back. The player is awarded the number of tickets based upon that number.
3 28. Traffic Light Toss- You will give 2 beanbags to each person & they will try to toss them into the traffic light holes. Red = 0 tickets, yellow= 1 ticket & Green= 3 tickets. 29. Penny Splash- 3 tall glasses will be put under water in a fish aquarium. Each person will be given 2 pennies & they will attempt to drop them into the cups. A ticket will be awarded for each one that gets in a cup. 30. Paratrooper Landing- Your set up will consist of some mats w/ a number on them. You will also have a few paratrooper men. The player will toss a paratrooper up in the air & the number it lands close to will be the number of tickets they will receive. 31. Goldfish Bowl Toss- Several small goldfish bowls will need set up & each person will be given 2 ping pong balls. They will attempt to get the ball into a bowl. 2 tickets will be awarded for each winner. 32. Hayrides- *we have already received permission from Chief Hornac as long as we put an orange triangle at the back of the trailer. A driver will tow a trailer w/ a tractor for a hayride around a few blocks. We will post signs on the trailer to invite more people. A driver & rider will be needed. Also permission slips from parents will be required. 33. Greeter- You will have a VERY important role in this whole thing! You will need to be friendly & welcome people to the Awana Family Fun Fair. Each child will need to have a permission slip filled out. Door Prizes can be won by all adults who fill out a drawing form. There will be a few special drawings for gift certificates donated by local companies. Also these contacts will be used for follow up on a later date. You will stamp their hands when they have the permission slip turned in & give them a card with each game & a bag w/ information about our church & Awana. Most games will be 1 time only. 2 greeters needed. 34. Concession Stand- sno-cones, popcorn maker, hotdog maker, & refrigerator for drinks. We need at least 3 people to help. 35. Puppet Shows- You will need to set up the puppet stage on it & use the puppet CD to perform some puppet scheduled times. This year the puppet stage will not be the stage. Performances will be scheduled BETWEEN music performances on the stage. 36. Big Slide- 2 volunteers are needed to keep the kids safe. They will be allowed 3 times (unless you don t have anyone waiting in line that hasn t gone yet). 37. Dinosaur Dig- You will have a sandbox w/ a few bags of sand. There will be plastic eggs w/ dinosaurs in some of them & a number 1 in the others. The player will use a little shovel to dig until they find an egg. The eggs w/ dinosaurs are worth 2 tickets & the eggs w/ # 1 are worth 1 ticket. 38. Bucket Bonanza- You will have coffee can buckets you will need to space them out. The player will toss 2 ping pong balls in attempts to get them to land in
4 a can. For each ball that goes in the player earns 1 ticket. They receive 1 ticket for playing whether they get one in or not. 39. Lightning Ball- You will need to fill your game w/ air. The player will toss 2 balls in attempts to get them in a hole. 1 ticket is awarded for each successful attempt. 40. Tic-Tac-Toe- You will have box w/ tic-tac-toe partitions & 3 balls. The player is to try to get 3 in a row. If they are successful they will earn 4 tickets! Other wise they win 1 ticket. 41. Plinko- You will have a plinko game & disks. Each player is given 1 disk. The number it falls down to will be the number of tickets they will be awarded. 42. Sherriff s Reward- You will have to provide the Sherriff s costume. This is a good position for an outgoing person. You are supposed to go up to the children & give them a Sherriff s badge. Tell them they can trade this badge at the prize booth for 1 ticket. I would also like you to be friendly & talk to the adults. 43. Staff Child Care Center- This is a VERY IMPORTANT position. By signing up for this job you will be allowing more adults in our church to run booths at the fair. We were VERY concerned a couple years ago w/ the safety & supervision of the kids who had parents helping. Last year this was very successful. Your job will be to take a couple of kids around to the games. Each of the staff kids will get a chance to play all the games 1 time. You will basically play big sister for the day! I need at least 4 people to run this. 44. Race Car Bean Bag Toss- You will have a cutout of a race car. The player is given 2 bean bags. They are to try to toss them through the holes on the race car. If they get them both through the hole they are awarded 2 tickets. Otherwise they are given 1 ticket. 45. Football Catch- You will need to fill your football player w/ air. The player is given a football to toss it through the hole. If they are successful they are awarded 2 tickets. Otherwise they receive 1 ticket. 46. Baseball Toss- You are given a cutout of a baseball field. The player is given 2 mini balls to toss through the holes. If they are successful they are awarded 2 tickets. Otherwise they receive 1 ticket. 47. Prize Table- This is a very busy table. It will require AT LEAST 2 people. You will add up all their whole punches tickets & help them pick their prizes. A prize Display will need to be set up so they can look at the prizes w/ out digging them all out. Helpers We need to have extra people willing to help in any area needed the day of the fair. You would fill in for volunteers who are sick or if everyone is there, you will give people breaks (especially while those workers who are performing a song), help volunteers who need equipment, help set up & tear down games, or simply crowd control. We can use all the volunteers we can get!! There is no telling how
5 many people we will have come to the fair! Last year there were over 300 & 400 the year before, but we are expecting even more this year.
