2 WELCOME! August 15, 2011 Dear Participant, Welcome to the Bellevue Two Day Summer Invitational Golf Tournament. Enclosed please find the tournament program, flight rosters, format, rules and starting times for Friday August 19th and Saturday, August 20 th. The format consists of flights of six teams playing five nine-hole matches. Each flight plays twenty-seven holes one day and eighteen-holes the other day. 7 The Tournament The event is our Summer Member Guest Championship. The format is play within flights consisting of six teams. Each team will play (5) nine-hole matches. The team that acquires the most points in their flight will be the flight winner. Any team that defeats all teams in their flight will automatically be deemed champion of their flight. Flights Each team s aggregate USGA Handicap has determined the flights. Flights 1 & 2 will play the Black Tees; Flights 3 & 4 will play the Blue Tees; Flights 5 & 6 will play the White Tees. Four ball Match Play Format Scoring The nine-hole matches are fourball match play. Participants will play at 85% of their established handicap. Handicaps for all matches will be effective as of the August 15th revision date. Each match consists of nine holes. Results of each match will be determined by the most holes won minus holes lost. If a player plays an entire match without his partner, the number of holes lost minus the number of holes won shall not exceed three for the single player. Ties In the event of a tie for First or Second Place, there will be a sudden death playoff beginning on the first hole. The playoff will begin immediately following completion of play. Awards Prizes will be awarded to Flight Champions and Runners-Up. (Flight Winners will be determined by highest cumulative point total within the flight)

8 Rules Teams are to report to their assigned tee 10 minutes prior to their starting time. Applicable penalties will apply to teams that arrive after the start of play. USGA Rules govern all play. All rules disputes should be brought to the attention of the Professional Staff, and will be resolved prior to posting point totals. The Professional Staff will be available to answer any questions that you may have pertaining to the Rules. Pace of Play Pace of play will be strictly enforced. (Please pick up your ball if you are out of the hole and make every effort to keep pace with the group in front of you). If a group falls more than one hole behind the match in front of them, they will be asked to skip the hole they are on and proceed to the next tee. The hole they skip will be halved. Contests Closest to Pin: 5 th & 8 th Hole All players Long Drive: Hole # 4 Flights 1, 2 & 3 Ball must be in fairway Hole # 6 Flights 4, 5 & 6 Ball must be in fairway

9 Conditions of Play 1. USGA Rules govern all play, except as modified by local rules. 2. Your team s flight will determine which tee you play. 3. Ground under repair is defined by white circled areas (Rule 25). 4. The embedded ball Rule is in effect through the green (Local Rule Appendix II). 5. Measuring devices are permitted for use during the tournament. 6. Suspension of play will be indicated by : 1. IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION OF PLAY, ( dangerous situation) MUST LEAVE COURSE IMMEDIATELY 1 LONG HORN BLAST 2 SUSPENSION OF PLAY, ( may complete hole being played or mark ball and discontinue play ) - 3 LONG HORN BLASTS Local Rules Mandatory Relief: Hill behind 5 th green, relief to nearest drop circle Hole #6: A ball that comes to rest on the cart path adjacent to the 7 th tee must be dropped in the nearest drop circle if taking relief no penalty. Hole #9: If ball in long grass boarding maintenance road opinions free relief if within dotted lines defined fairway A ball in the left side maintenance area must be dropped in the designated drop area if seeking relief or played as it lies no penalty.
