1 Announcing the 2010 Chesapeake Challenge Golf Tournament Maryland Gymnastics, the parent organization of Docksiders Gymnastics, is hosting our annual Chesapeake Challenge golf tournament at Compass Pointe in Pasadena, MD on Monday, June 14, The format will be best shot and 100+ golfers will compete for top prizes and bragging rights. The tournament is open to all cost is $110 per person, which includes green fees and cart, as well as breakfast, a Barbeque Feast for lunch to include BBQ chicken, Pit Beef, grilled vegetables and all the fixings. Also included in this package is an unlimited beverage cart which includes domestic beer, juice, water and snacks. This year s tournament will feature: Longest drive, closest to the pin 50/50 hole Hole in one contest Door prizes Silent Auction 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd place prizes Interested in registering as a single or a foursome (discount of $10 per golfer will be given for a foursome), or donating prizes for the silent auction? 3 Compass Pointe Golf Course Pasadena, Maryland Monday, June 14, 2010 FUNDRAISING OPPTUNITIES Dear Team Members, On behalf of the 2010 Golf Committee, we would like to offer you a terrific fundraising opportunity. One of the biggest fundraisers at the golf tournament is money collected from sponsors. Sponsorship is typically in the form of advertisement on a tee sign or a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum Sponsor displayed at the golf tournament. This year we are offering the following opportunities: Single golfer for $110 member will receive $15 towards fundraising. Foursome for $400 member will receive $60 towards fundraising and golfers save $10 each over the single golfer rate Sponsorship (see attached list for individual sponsorships that are available) 35% of the cost of the sponsorship will be received towards fundraising Silent Auction items Details on the Silent Auction will be forthcoming. This year we will be hosting our annual Chesapeake Challenge Golf Tournament at Compass Pointe Golf Course in Pasadena, Maryland on Monday, June 14, The success of the tournament depends on every family participating in some way. Families can participate by seeking sponsorships, working the tournament, signing up single golfers or foursomes or by supplying items for the silent auction. 4 Sponsor Opportunities (Note: All sponsors will have their names included on the Sponsor List distributed at the tournament, and will receive a letter of appreciation and recognition for their charitable contribution). Tee Sponsor ($150): Sponsor s name and logo are prominently displayed on the video screen in each golf cart, as that cart approaches the sponsor s tee box area. Bronze Tournament Sponsor ($250): Sponsor s name will appear prominently on a sign displayed at the tournament, and sponsor s name will be mentioned as a Bronze Tournament Sponsor and a recognition banner will be displayed prominently in the Docksiders Gymnastics facility for a year. Silver Tournament Sponsor ($500): Sponsor s name will appear prominently on a sign displayed at the tournament, and sponsor s name will be mentioned as a Silver Tournament Sponsor and a recognition banner will be displayed prominently in the Docksiders Gymnastics facility for a year. Sponsor is entitled to one free golfer registration at the tournament. Gold Tournament Sponsor ($1,000): Sponsor s name will appear prominently on a sign displayed at the tournament, and sponsor s name will be mentioned as a Gold Tournament Sponsor and a recognition banner will be displayed prominently in the Docksiders Gymnastics facility for a year. Sponsor is entitled to one free foursome registration at the tournament. Platinum Tournament Sponsor ($2,500): Sponsor s name will appear prominently on a sign displayed at the tournament, and sponsor s name will be mentioned as a Platinum Tournament Sponsor and a recognition banner will be displayed prominently in the Docksiders Gymnastics facility for a year. We are seeking monetary donations or product/service donations; either way, your donation will help support this vital gymnastics experience for hundreds of area kids. And, because Maryland Gymnastics is a 501(3)(c) organization, your donation would be tax-deductible.
