It is an honor for AIR Show Jumping to lead the Northampton Horse Show into its 29th year. I would like to begin by thanking every member of the Horseman s Advisory Committee who have spent countess hours grooming through our class list, providing insight, guidance, and unwavering support for AIR Show Jumping in this time of transition. Every member of the Horseman s committee has either shown or been involved with the Northampton Horse Show for the better part of two decades. You can feel their dedication in every phone call, text message, and sent regarding this show. I would like to thank all off you who have helped me get this show off the ground for Running a horse show of this size can be an ambitious task; However, with the phenomenal people we have on board, I am pleased to say this has been an easy and seamless transition. I genuinely look forward to working with everyone to make this horse show a success. Next I would like to thank our many generous sponsors. This years sponsors have gone above and beyond to help ensure the success of our horse show. As you look through this book, you will see business and individuals who have chosen to sponsor a horse show that is dedicated to serving the equestrian community. Sponsorship of this show is what allows us to offer the significant prize money, lower exhibitor costs, and most importantly allows us the ability to create a show that has a unique and inviting atmosphere. We welcome you and your barn to consider a sponsorship of the Northampton Horse Show. As a sponsor you will be supporting a horse show that has been the staple of the New England area for 28 years. Your sponsorship will go towards the support of local colleges, continuing a legacy of show jumping and supporting the dedicated trainers and stables here in the Northeast. Finally, I would like to thank you, our exhibitors, for choosing the Northampton Horse Show. With so many showing options in Zone 1 and Zone 2, we are both dedicated and proud to provide a show that will exceed your expectations. Between our permanent barns, variety of high-end vendors and this years exceptional exhibitors party, no details have been overlooked! AIR Show Jumping will be bringing some exciting new improvements with us this year, including a brand new Reveal 4n1 drag that will bring some much need improvements to the footing. From the moment we re allowed on the property to the start of the show, we will be working tirelessly to maintain and care for the footing. As a horseman myself I know the importance of maintaining good footing, and will endeavor to ensure the best possible footing for you and your horse. For those who may not know me, I have been riding and showing in this industry my entire life. Showing at many of the top venues in the country has allowed me to learn what it takes to put together a successful horse show that the exhibitors deserve. I have implemented these ideas and I know we will have a wonderful and enjoyable Northampton Hunter/Jumper Horse Show this year! I hope I can earn your trust as AIR Show Jumping embarks on this new and exciting adventure! I always love to hear from the exhibitors, so if you see me anywhere on or off the show grounds don t hesitate to stop and talk to me about the show! I love hearing new ideas! I look forward to seeing everyone at the 2018 Northampton Horse Show. Good luck to all our exhibitors! Every attempt has been made to insure accuracy when publishing this book, however if there any mistakes or changes made to organization ratings, scheduling, or any other revisions, they will be posted to 7/6/2018 Bill Worthington & The Horseman s Advisory Committee

11 2018 Biosecurity Protocols / Statement of Health AIR Show Jumping is dedicated to the health, welfare, and safety of all exhibitors both equine and human. To protect our equine partners, we will be enforcing the following protocols at the Northampton Hunter Jumper Show. Per Massachusetts state law a Health Certificate is only required for horses traveling from out of state. As of the publication of this book no additional health requirements are required. Please check if there are any changes. 1. A current (within 12 months) negative Coggins test is required. 2. Proof of Vaccinations with recent booster being within 180 days (per the USEF GR-845 Equine Vaccination Rule [CHAPTER 8F Welfare of the Horse] Rule Changes Effective 12/1/15) At Federation licensed competitions, horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by Competition Management. Documentation should consist of one of the following methods mentioned below. The frequency of vaccine administration should be per the vaccine manufacturers or veterinarian s recommendations. It is recommended that vaccines are administered by or under the direction of a veterinarian. In the case of vaccines administered by a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide documentation from the veterinarian on documenting that the horse in question received the vaccinations; name of the vaccines and date of vaccine administration. In the case of vaccines administered by a person other than a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a receipt of the vaccine purchase which is signed by the owner, or agent with care, custody, and control of the horse; name, serial number and expiration date of the vaccine; and date of vaccine administration. In the case of a horse that is unable to receive either of the vaccinations due to a history of adverse reactions, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a letter from the veterinarian on official letterhead stating that the horse in question cannot be vaccinated due to medical concerns and a log of temperatures taken twice daily for the seven days prior to entering the competition grounds. These horses must also have their temperature taken and logged twice daily while on the competition grounds. The log of temperatures should be provided to the Competition Management, steward, or technical delegate when requested. Competition Management may not amend or enhance vaccination requirements without prior approval of the Veterinarian. Any horse on the show grounds with a fever of unknown origin or of suspicious origin must be reported to Show Management. It is always better to err on the side safety. Isolation stalls will either be available on the grounds or at a local veterinary practice if the need arises. Please take the time to review equine good hygiene practices. Please convey the importance of this to your equine caretakers for their daily routines. All paperwork will be checked prior to stabling the horse on grounds, please be prepared to show paperwork when you arrive. Origin Information Circle One: Ship-in Stabled on Grounds Farm Name Contact Name Address Phone City State Zip Farm Veterinarian Phone Horse Health Declaration Circle One: Showing Non Showing By signing below, I testify that the horse listed on this entry has: 1) Been enrolled in a regular and consistent program of vaccination against EHV-4/1 with the most recent booster being within 180 days. 2) Has not shown symptoms of, or been treated for EHV-4/1 within the past 28 days. 3) Has not been exposed to any horse or ponies that have been treated for or shown symptoms of EHV 4/1 within the past 28 days. 4) Has not had a temperature greater than 101 o F in the last 72 hours / 3 days.
