2 THE CURRAGH WHERE CHAMPIONS ARE MADE Race & Stay The Curragh Racecourse is located on a large grassy plain approximately 50km from Dublin Airport and City center on the main M7 / N7 motorway route in the Horse County of Kildare, one of the world s foremost racing and breeding areas. Steeped in racing history from the early 17th century the Curragh is now starting the latest chapter in its long life with super new state of the art grandstand, which will be opened in April 2019, and high quality guest and equine facilities. The Curragh holds all 5 classic races throughout the season: The Irish Guineas Festival, The Irish Derby Festival, The Irish Oaks and Irish St Leger, now part of the fabulous Irish Champions Weekend. Aside from the 5 Classics the Curragh also runs on 14 other race days often featuring high class group racing with some of the best international horses and jockeys taking part in truly enthralling racing action. The Curragh is not just a racecourse, the vast plain encompasses Irish Army barracks, training facilities, an equine pool, golf courses and is also home to many of the best trainers in the country. It is widely recognized as one, if not the best, racecourses in the world.

3 The Races World Class Racing The Irish Derby Festival is now in its 154th Year and is the premier race meeting in Ireland for thoroughbred horses. Bringing together a host of international racing professionals, trainers and jockeys who compete over three fabulous days, to settle scores and enhance reputations. Falling the week after Royal Ascot and a month after the English Derby and Oaks the meeting attracts the very best European horses year after year. Three days of world class racing start on Thursday 27th June with a full evening race card. (You are welcome to attend this meeting and join the welcome BBQ when you return to the hotel if you wish.) Friday 28th June features a high quality race card including the prestigious Pretty Polly Stakes and a number of Group and Listed races. Starting at 2pm and concluding at 6pm. Saturday 29th June is Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day, the pinnacle of the flat race season. Your opportunity to enjoy the world class racing, fashion, food and fun that make up this wonderful day that showcases the very best international jockeys, trainers and equine superstars. Aside from the Group 1 races there are several Group 2 and 3 and listed races. Starting at 2pm and concluding at 7pm. A day not to be missed by any serious racing fan.

8 The Itinerary Key Points DAY 1 THURSDAY 27th JUNE Arrivals Day Depart Dublin Airport at 2pm on our complimentary Heritage Shuttle, arriving at the exceptional Heritage Hotel and Spa Resort in Killenard, a mere 1 hour travel time from Dublin City and Dublin Airport and only 20 Minutes from the Curragh Racecourse. A 5* Hotel in every sense you will receive a warm welcome from our Race & Stay staff and the Hotel management with complimentary tea, coffee or cocktail as you check in and your luggage is taken to your room. 7:00 pm Complimentary shuttle service from Dublin Airport departs at 2pm arrives at The Heritage at 3pm. After the tour you are free to explore the wonderful Japanese Gardens. Racing papers are delivered to your room before you arise provided with compliments by The Heritage. Irish National Stud Visit at 9.45am with tour included. Depart Hotel for the races at 12.30pm arriving back at the hotel at 7.30pm. Airport shuttle departs from Dublin Airport at 10am arriving to at The Heritage at 11.10am pm Depart from Hotel or Stud to The Curragh Racecourse Enjoy a thrilling afternoon of top quality racing including the Pretty Polly Stakes, and several group and listed races from the comfort of your reserved restaurant seat.
