1 2019 IFCS Wrld Team Selectin Rules Cmpetitrs wishing t qualify fr the 2019 IFCS Wrld Team are required t attend the Masters Challenge Agility Cup (MCAC) being held August 23-26, 2018, in Franklin, Tennessee. Team Selectin Pints (TSPs) will be earned at this event nly. Eligibility See the 2018 Masters Challenge Agility Cup Event Rules fr eligibility requirements. Dgs may earn their qualificatins at their USDAA champinship jump heights. Cmpetitrs wishing t be cnsidered fr the team must file an Intent t Cmpete (ITC) frm n later than August 10, ITCs shuld be ed t ahartman@usdaa.cm. This frm is available at the end f this dcument. The ITC frm establishes the cmpetitr s statement f intent t participate n the team if selected, t partake in all mandatry preparatin exercises, t attend at least ne wrld team practice, t abide by plicies, rules and guidelines established fr cmpetitin and team travel. In additin, this frm acknwledges the cmpetitr s statement f Financial Respnsibility, indicating that the team member is financially able and willing t fund their trip, shuld they be selected. Any airfare subsidies that may be made shall be determined at the sle discretin f United States Assciatin f Cynlgical Sprts, a nnprfit, tax-exempt charity that supprts amateur athletic sprts invlving dgs. Masters Challenge Agility Cup Dgs trying ut fr the team at the Masters Challenge Agility Cup must cmpete at their IFCS jump heights. Official jump heights fr IFCS (under current regulatins): Fr Dgs Measuring at Withers IFCS Jump Height 11-7/8 (300mm) 30cm (12 ) * 15-3/4 (400mm) 40cm (16 ) 19-5/8 (500mm) 50cm (20 ) >19-5/8 (500mm) 60cm (24 ) *Dgs trying ut fr the 2019 Wrld Team will need t jump 12 at the MCAC. 2 The members f the 2019 IFCS Wrld Team will be required t participate in preparatin exercises designed and presented by the caching staff beginning Octber 1, 2018 and running up t the 2019 IFCS Wrld Champinship event. Scring At the Masters Challenge Agility Cup, scres shall be evaluated based upn the classes belw, including: Individual MC Standard Agility 1 rund Individual MC Jumpers 1 rund Individual MC Gamblers 1 rund Individual MC Snker 1 rund Masters Challenge Biathln (Cmbines the scres frm ne (1) rund each f MC Biathln Jumpers and MC Biathln Standard classes t determine the winners) USDAA Agility Cup Sweepstakes (Cmbines the scres frm ne (1) rund each f Sweepstakes Jumpers and Sweepstakes Biathln Standard classes t determine the winners) TSPs frm all six (6) classes will be added tgether fr ne verall scre. Fr all six (6) classes TSPs will be earned based n a prprtinal placement ranking system. In additin, fr Standard and Jumpers Speed Pints are calculated as set frth belw. Masters Challenge Standard and Jumpers All Standard and Jumpers classes, whether Individual, Biathln r Sweepstakes, will be scred n a time plus faults basis fr Team Selectin Rankings. Biathln Standard and Jumpers will be cmbined fr ne scre. Sweepstakes Standard and Jumpers will be cmbined fr ne scre. TSPs can be earned as fllws: Placement Pints Maximum f 20 pints fr first place, with the differential in scres reducing the number f pints pssible fr secnd place and belw A bnus f 5, 3, and 1 pints shall be earned fr first, secnd and third places, respectively, if the placing scre is a n-fault rund. Speed Pints (based n time nly) Fr every 1/100 f a secnd under QCT a bnus will be earned. (Time under Qualifying Curse Time (QCT)) x (multiplier f 2) = Speed Pints. 0 faults = 100% speed bnus 5 faults = 100% speed bnus 10 faults = 75% speed bnus 15 faults = 25% speed bnus Greater than 15 faults speed bnus pints are negated A 25% penalty is applied t verall pints earned if the cmpetitr s scre is ver QCT. 4 Sweepstakes The Sweepstakes Standard and Jumpers classes with be scred n a time plus faults basis and then cmbined fr ne verall scre. TSPs will be earned using the same methdlgy as the abve example f the Individual Masters Challenge Standard and Jumpers classes. An E in either rund f the Sweepstakes will result in 0 TSPs fr the cmbined scre. Snker and Gamblers A qualifying scre will be based upn titling regulatins. The first-place cmpetitr in each jump height will receive a maximum f 20 pints. All ther cmpetitrs in the class will earn placement pints based n their placement in the class by evaluating their ttal pints and time relative t the first-place cmpetitr. Failure t successfully cmplete the clsing distance gamble shall result in a 50% penalty in any TSPs that may therwise be earned. Example fr Snker: First-place cmpetitr earns 51 pints in the class and has a time f secnds. This cmpetitr earned 20 pints. The next three (3) cmpetitrs als earn 51 pints and placed 2 nd (time 49.50) 3 rd (time 51.25) and 4 th (time 52.35) based n their times relative t all earning 51 pints. 5 Example fr Gamblers: 1, 3, 5, 7 pint system, 25 secnd curse time, Need 18 pints in the pening, gamble = 20 pints, 16 secnds gamble time 1 st place cmpetitr earns 30 pints in the pening and successfully cmpletes the gamble fr 20 pints has a time f secnds. Their ttal scre is 50 pints. This cmpetitr earned 20 TSPs fr placing first. The next tw (2) cmpetitrs als earned 50 pints each and placed 2 nd (time 39.25) and 3 rd (time 40.85) based n their times relative t all earning 50 pints. The fllwing TSPs were earned by these tw dgs: 2 nd Place = (TSPs frm 1 st place) - (reductin factr f 1.00 in TSPs between placements) = TSPs 3 rd Place = (TSPs frm 2 nd place) - (reductin factr f 1.00 in TSPs between placements) = TSPs The next cmpetitr earns 47 pints and placed 4 th (time 39.00). There shall nt be a fixed number f cmpetitrs per jump height, but shuld either f the tw divisins nt include cmpetitrs with at least fur dgs, USDAA in its sle discretin may select cmpetitrs fr up t fur dgs frm the divisin in rder that rules fr fielding three-dg team in each divisin in the Team Triathln cmpetitin may be met, thugh it is under n bligatin t d s. In accrdance with IFCS rules and regulatins, up t fur additinal cmpetitrs wh have been past medal winners at IFCS internatinal events may be named t the Team, with such selectins at the sle discretin f the Natinal Gverning Organizatin (i.e., USDAA). IFCS regulatins are established by the Internatinal Federatin f Cynlgical Sprts, and USDAA cannt be held respnsible fr changes in r interpretatin f IFCS regulatins that may affect these selectin rules.
