2 AQHA TRAIL Clinic REGISTRATION Karen Graham 3:30pm Wednesday, January 3, 2017 in the Wendell Arena Who doesn t want a handy horse capable of navigating obstacles with the slightest cues? The sport of riding a trail course is designed to showcase those abilities to the max. This year, the Arizona National is working with Karen Graham, a world class horse trainer who lays claim to numerous world champion titles. In this particular clinic, Karen will be giving her professional advice and instruction on preparing yourself and your horse for trail, navigating the course, tips for the show ring and so much more. You don t want to miss out on this opportunity to expand your trail knowledge. Registration fee is $25/clinic participant. Registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis, to the first 12 individuals to register. Any registrations received after the maximum has been reached will be placed on a waiting list set in order as they are submitted. While spot to ride are limited, the clinic will be a free event to audit. Visitors are welcome to watch and learn. Payment must be submitted the day of the clinic, and can be taken by cash, check or credit card. Please fill out this form and submit via at vanessa@anls.org in order to reserve your spot. 5 1. The Arizona National Quarter Horse Show will be governed by AQHA rules according to the current AQHA Rule Book. 2. AzQHA points for this Show will count for the 2018 year end awards. 3. A copy of the AQHA registration certificate is required and must list the same owner as shown on the entry form. 4. For Performance Halter entries, a copy of the AQHA Register of Merit in the appropriate division is required and must be sent in with the entry form. 5. Show Management will inspect membership cards or photocopies prior to accepting entries in an AQHA class. In order to show, an exhibitor must present a current membership card or purchase a membership from the Show Secretary. Non-AQHA classes including 13 & under, Lead line and Walk/Trot classes do not require membership except for state points. 6. A $5 show processing/drug testing fee per horse per judge will be collected and forwarded to AQHA. 7. Every rider competing in an Amateur or Level 1 Amateur class must possess a current Amateur card issued by AQHA which may be obtained at the Show Office. 8. Youth & Level 1 Youth Exhibitors must be members of AQHYA (National). Membership may be obtained in the Show Office. 9. The Lead line and Walk/Trot classes are not AQHA approved and count for state AzQHYA points only. 10. Lead line and Walk/Trot Classes are for riders 10 & Under. Horse need not be a Quarter Horse. 11. Stalls must be reserved and paid for by December 1. Please see Stalls Section of the General Horse Show rules for specific rules. 12. The fee for a tack stall is the same as for a horse stall. Stall fees are $75 per horse the first night and $25 per horse per night each additional night. SAMPLE STALL FEE SCHEDULE One Night Two Nights Three Nights Four Nights Five Nights $75.00/stall $100.00/stall $125.00/stall $150.00/stall $175.00/stall Exhibitors showing at Paint-o-Rama the week before Arizona Nationals will receive a discounted rate of $150/stall for 5 days. Stall fees will be $50/horse the first night and $25/horse each additional night. Horses will stay in Paint show stalls for ANLS. No horse may arrive earlier than 9:00 am, Wednesday, January 3, Early arrivals (prior to January 4) must make additional arrangements directly with WestWorld Operations ( ) at least 5 days prior to arrival. 14. There is a maximum of one (1) horse per stall. 15. Stall cancellations must be received in writing and cancellations received by December 20th will receive a refund of the amount paid less $25 per stall cancellation fee. Stall refund may be granted ONLY if the Chairman is notified prior to 8:00 am the day of the class being dropped due to the horse s lack of serviceability, and a qualified veterinarian s statement is provided indicating the lack of soundness or serviceability of the horse. No refunds on stall fees will be given after December 31 st. Stall cancellations may be mailed or faxed to the Arizona National office at (602) Please call the Arizona National Office (602) with any questions or concerns.
6 16. Exhibitors will be responsible for any repair bills for stalls occupied by exhibitor and charged to Arizona National by WestWorld. Do not use any nails or screws in stall area. Each hole found in a stall will result in a $25 fine. 17. Charges for tack stalls will NOT be split between different exhibitors. 18. Trainers with multiple stall reservations must list the names of horse owners on the entry form for stalls to be assigned together. 19. Effective July 1, 2014: A negative Coggins, dated within the previous twelve (12) months, must accompany ALL horses brought onto WestWorld property. 20. A Health Certificate, dated within the previous thirty (30) days, must be presented for any horse originating outside of Arizona. 21. WestWorld staff, and horse show staff representatives will be conducting random inspections, both upon entry and during the event. If you are not asked for documentation upon entry please have such available upon request during your stay. Any refusal or inability to produce such documents will result in immediate expulsion of the horse(s) in question. Any horse showing signs or fever/illness/stress is subject to examination by horse show officials and/or the horse show veterinarian, who may, at their sole discretion, place the horse in quarantined stabling or take further action if deemed necessary. 22. Arrangement for payment of all fees must be made with the Show Secretary prior to exhibitor s first class. Open checks will be accepted. Exhibitors must settle all fees before leaving the Show. 24. Credit cards will be accepted for payment of fees at the show. Card and Cardholder must be present to run credit card charges. A 4% service fee will be charged for all credit card transactions. 25. Refunds will NOT be issued after you have closed out your check. 26. A $50 service fee will be charged on all returned checks. 27. All Cattle reservations must be made by December 1, 2017 with a completed entry Cattle Reservation Form. Cattle classes entered after December 1 st can result in the use of rerun cattle. Cattle fees are subject to current market costs and subject to change. The exhibitor will be responsible for cattle fees for any cattle classes scratched at the show. Open/Amateur/Select/Green/Novice Am $18/individual/judge $22 Trail (includes warm up) Youth/Novice Youth/13 & Under/Walk-Trot $15/individual/judge $19 Trail (includes warm up) Warm-up for trail included in entry fee * Warm-up will be available throughout the day when arena is not in use for classes. There is a Trail Clinic on Wednesday January 3 rd. Time is TBA. Warm-up Reining **... $45 per session ** Warm-up will be available to reining classes for six-minute practice sessions. Arena is TBA. The Exhibitor must purchase a ticket from the Show Secretary. Tickets will be collected at the reining arena. Slots will be available on a first come first served basis when signing up at the arena. Pattern Books will be available at the Show Office for $5.00 each.

Rosettes and raffle tickets can be picked up at the Awards Office at the Wendell Office. Five drawings for your choice of eight different Limited Edition Bill Owen lithographs will be held throughout the Show. Please go to the Awards Office to pick up your rosette or enter the raffles. 29. Circuit Awards: A High Point Circuit Award is given to the eligible entry that earns the highest points for a respective class and under all four judges. The announcer will issue a Circuit Award Coupon for each circuit award winner which is to be turned in at the Awards Office where the winner will select their award. 30. High-Point Awards: High-point and Reserve High-point awards are awarded to the entry that receives the most total points in that division. Placing of the tie-breaker judge will resolve ties. The Entry Office will issue High-point and Reserve High-point Coupons which are to be turned in at the Awards Office to pick up their award. High-point Buckles and Reserve High-point Awards will be provided for Level 1 Youth, Youth, Level 1 Amateur, Amateur, Open All Ages, 18 & Under. High-point and Reserve High-point awards will be provided for Walk/Trot.
