4 COMPETITION ENTRY AGREEMENT ONE PER EXHIBITOR THIS ENTRY AGREEMENT MUST BE SIGNED BY THE RIDER (AND PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN IF UNDER 18), OWNER AND TRAINER. By entering the New Vocations All-Thoroughbred Charity Horse Show and/or the T.I.P. Championships at the New Vocations All- Thoroughbred Charity Horse Show (collectively, the Show ) and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Rider or Handler, and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Rules of the Show (newvocations.org/kentucky-charity-thoroughbred-show/#) and the local rules of the Kentucky Horse Park (kyhorsepark.com/events/competitor-and-general-info/), both as supplemented by all posted rules at the Show (collectively, the Rules ). I agree to be bound by the Rules. I will accept as final the decision of Show Management on any question arising under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, New Vocations and/or The Jockey Club may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable-casts, broadcasts, internet, film, news media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the Show for use at the discretion of New Vocations and/or The Jockey Club. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity or to misappropriation. PARTICIPATING RIDER CODE OF CONDUCT In consideration for my participation in the Show, I agree to the Participating Rider Code of Conduct set forth in the Rules. ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER AND INDEMNIFICATION This document waives important legal rights. Read it carefully before signing. In consideration for accepting my competition entry and allowing my participation in the Show, I agree to the following: I AGREE that Released Parties as used herein collectively includes New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program, The Jockey Club, the Kentucky Horse Park, and each of the foregoing entities respective affiliates and their respective owners, directors, officers, officials, employees, representatives, volunteers, members, insurers, and agents of any kind. I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the Show with my horse and/or as a rider, handler, lessee, owner, agent, coach or trainer, or as parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and the Show involve inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including broken bones, head injuries, trauma, pain, suffering, or death ( Harm ). I AGREE to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Show and the Released Parties from and against any claims, demands, suits, liabilities, costs, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys fees), of any kind or nature, arising in connection with (i) any Harm to me or my horse and any Harm of any nature caused by me or my horse to others, even if the Harm arises or results, directly or indirectly, from the negligence of the Show or Released Parties, (ii) any action taken under the Rules, (iii) my violation of the Rules, and (iv) my entry and/or participation in the Show, even if that claim, demand, suit, liability, cost, loss, or expense is due in whole or part to the Released Parties negligence. I AGREE to expressly assume all risks of Harm to me or my horse, including Harm resulting from the negligence of the Show or a Released Party. I acknowledge and agree that the RELEASED PARTIES SHALL HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY TO THE PERSON OR PROPERTY OF ANY OWNER, LESSEE, TRAINER, MANAGER, AGENT, RIDER, HANDLER OR ANY OF THEIR RESPECTIVE GUESTS, INVITEES, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS OR AGENTS. IN NO EVENT WILL THE RESPECTIVE PARTIES BE LIABLE TO ME OR TO ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SHOW. I ASSUME THE ENTIRE RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY FOR LOSSES, DAMAGES AND CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE CAUSED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BY ME OR MY HORSE. I REPRESENT that I have the requisite training, coaching and abilities to safely compete in this competition. If I am a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to the child's participation and AGREE to ALL of the above provisions and AGREE to assume all of the obligations of this Release on the child's behalf as if the child was specifically identified therein. Under Kentucky law, a farm animal activity sponsor, farm animal professional, or other person does not have the duty to eliminate all risks of injury of participation in farm animal activities. There are inherent risks of injury that you voluntarily accept if you participate in farm animal activities. I agree that I am familiar with the Kentucky Farm Animal Activity Liability Act, KRS BY SIGNING BELOW, I AGREE to be bound by all applicable Rules and all terms and conditions of this competition entry form and agreement, and all terms and provisions contained in the Prize List or provided at the Show. 5 BEFORE YOU SEAL YOUR ENTRY ENVELOPE You have filled out Page 1 completely (including a T.I.P. Number with the correct rider and rider status). You have indicated how many horse stalls and tack stalls you will need. If you are arriving before Thursday at 9 AM, you have indicated the early arrival days for which you will need horse and tack stalls. If you are leaving after Monday at 7 AM, you have indicated the late departure day for which you will need horse and tack stalls. You have completed one Class List (page 2-3) per Exhibitor. If you are entering the T.I.P. Championships, you have qualified and submitted a Declaration Form ( If you are entering Dressage Test of Choice, you have indicated your Test Choice on the Class List (page 2). The Entry Agreement has been signed by the rider, the parent/legal guardian if rider is currently under 18, the owner and the trainer. You have included an open check made out to New Vocations (e.g., a signed check made out to New Vocations without an amount filled in). Entries must be POSTMARKED BY AUGUST 15.
