1 OH-PIGS Exhibitr Eligibility Ø 3-21 age as f January 1, 2016 Ø Any exhibitr frm ther states may cme t jackpt ages Health/Vet papers will be required t participate in OH-PIGS sanctined shws. Ø Must be a fulltime Ohi resident, r Ohi 4-H member r Ohi FFA member t participate in accumulatin f OH-PIGS Circuit pints. Ø Minimum age is 3, hwever, parents are t use their best discretin and a member s pints will NOT cunt if they have smene helping them in the shw ring. OH-PIGS Membership Fee Ø $25.00 netime fee per OH-PIGS participant. Ø Membership benefits: T-shirt & prm bag and eligibility fr pints awards Ø Members must be signed up and paid befre a shw starts. Pints will nt accumulate befre yu becme a member. Fee t be paid at any sanctined shw. Cmpetitins Ø Market Ø Purebred Breeding Gilt Ø Shwmanship Ø Skill-a-thn Ø Judging Cntest Ø Overall Exhibitr 1. Market Market barrws/gilts will nt exceed 280 lbs (15 pund weigh backs), will shw by weight, sex and breed Barrws must be brn n r after December 1, Purebred barrws crssbred barrws crssbred gilts Pedigrees must be shwn t prve breed, therwise barrw will be shwn as a crssbred Members are required t shw (exhibit and shwmanship) their OWN pigs t earn pints. Exceptin nly if exhibitr has mre than ne animal in a class.

2 Members cannt shw any ther members pigs. If yu shw anther member s pig, n pints will be rewarded in that particular class fr that pig. Hgs that are brught back frm WPX and were nt wned and in the pssessin f the exhibitr prir t WPX, will nt receive pints. 2. Purebred Breeding Gilts Gilts will be shwn by breed and age. Gilts must be brn n r after December 1, Must present a cpy f pedigree which will be kept n file. A purebred gilt that des nt have a pedigree will shw as a crssbred market gilt. 3. Crssbred Breeding Gilts Crssbred breeding gilts will shw by weight. Gilts cannt be lder than December 1, Crssbred breeding gilts cannt exceed 325 punds with a 15 pund weigh back. 3. Shwmanship PeeWee ages 3-4 Nvice ages 5-8 Junir 9-12 Intermediate Senir Must knw and shw in yur age/divisin If yu shw in wrng age/divisin yu will NOT receive pints fr yur crrect divisin. 4. Skill-A-Thn PeeWee Nvice Junir Intermediate Senir Skillathn will be given n 2 different weekends, ne in May and ne in June. Dates t be annunced 5. Judging Cntest OH-PIGS exhibitrs will judge ne market class f barrws/gilts and a breeding gilt class. Kids will have 4 placings t mark n card and answer 5 questins n each class.

3 Pints Pints will be kept as fllws: (member can accumulate pints frm all shws; hwever awards will be based n the grand ttal pints frm member s tp TWO pigs and shwmanship frm the 50% plus 1 f all OH-PIGS sanctined shws ffered during the 2016 seasn.) a. Shw crdinatrs will recrd and send results t Kelly Mrgan b. The Ohi Prk Cuncil ( will have a link t the OH PIG website which will serve as the fficial site fr the summer circuit c. The shw dates fr the summer seasn will be verified by the OH PIGS Senir Bard d. Pints will be accumulated frm all sanctined shws, hwever verall awards will be based n pints earned frm the member s tp tw pigs at the 50% plus 1 mst successful shws e. Pigs must be brn December 1, 2015 and after will be eligible t shw fr the entirety f the OH PIGS Summer Circuit f. Any grievance must be presented t the OH PIGS Senir Bard, within 24 hurs f incident, in writing and accmpanied by a $100 nn-refundable fee. POINT BREAKDOWNS The tp five placings in each class: 1st = 10 x number f head in class with max f 5 head 2nd = 9 x number f head in class with max f 5 head 3rd = 8 x number f head in class with max f 5 head 4th = 7 x number f head in class with max f 5 head 5th = 6 x number f head in class with max f 5 head 6th and belw = 5 pints each Examples 5 head r ver in a class: 1st = 50 pints 4 head in a class: 1st = 40 pints 3 head in a class: 1st = 30 pints 2 head in a class: 1st = 20 pints Breed winners: Champins = 10 pints Reserves = 7 pints Overall Breeding and Market winners: Grand Overall = 5 pints Reserve Grand = 4 pints

4 Third Overall = 3 pints Furth Overall = 2 pints Fifth Overall = 1 pints Shwmanship Classes: The fllwing pints will be used t determine Champin, Reserve, Third, Furth, and Fifth Overall in each age divisin. 1st = 10 pints 2nd =9 pints 3rd = 8 pints 4th = 7 pints 5th = 6 pints 6 th = 5 pints 7 th = 4 pints 8 th = 3 pints 9 th = 2 pints 10 th = 1 pint NEW NEW NEW Exhibitrs will be selected frm each class t cme back t an Overall Shwmanship drive in that respective divisin. They will return at the end f their age divisin t cmpete fr verall shwman f that divisin. (I.E. If there are fur nvice classes, the selected class exhibitrs wuld return t cmpete fr Overall Nvice Shwmanship drive). Exhibitrs asked t cme back will receive 7 pints fr being asked back t final. These pints are what exhibitrs accrue fr Overall Shwman f their respective divisin and g twards the exhibitrs verall pint ttals. Members are required t shw (exhibit and shwmanship) their wn pigs t earn pints. Exceptin nly if exhibitr has mre than ne animal in a class. Substitute shwman must be 3-21 years f age Members must shw their pigs alne (1 pig, 1 shwman) t receive pints Failure t fllw these rules will result in lss f pints fr the shw n that day Nw clarified: Fr exhibit and shwmanship classes, members are required t shw their wn pigs, t earn pints; hwever if an exhibitr has mre than ne animal in a given class, the member will shw ne animal and have a substitute shwman (3-21 years ld) shw anther. All members will be given an OH-PIGS Circuit member number Peewee Nvice Junir Intermediate Senir Shw Infrmatin Ø Shws must fllw the guidelines set frth by the OH-PIGS fr recrd keeping and general fairness t the exhibitrs Ø All results frm the shw must be turned int Kelly Mrgan, Manager f Shwpig Prgrams, at kmrgan@hiprk.rg within three days frm the date f the shw. Ø Ohi residents d nt need t bring health papers. Hwever, ut f state exhibitr health papers are required. Ø Shws are nn-terminal Ø Barrws and gilts will be shwn separately Ø Purebreds will be shw separately by breeds. ALL purebreds must meet breed characteristics Ø N minimum number f head per breed required t frm a class Purebred classes will be determined by the shw cmmittee based upn number f entries n the shw day. There are t be n AOB classes at any shw. Ø Purebred breeding gilts cannt be shwn as a purebred market gilt. If yu chse t shw a purebred as a market gilt, it will have t shw as a crssbred. Ø Pints will be awarded fr 2 highest placing pigs. (2 markets, 2 breeding gilts, 1 market/1 breeding) Ø Each shw will begin with shwmanship (Senir wrking dwn t PeeWee) Ø A judge can nly judge 1 shw n the OH-PIGS Circuit per year. Advisry Bards The Ohi Prk Cuncil Shwpig Cmmittee Members f OPC s Shwpig Cmmittee will serve as advisrs t the OH-PIGS Circuit and have gvernance ver Circuit peratin and actins. Tw year rtatin, end f secnd year may reapply Tw term limit Cannt be a member f the OH-PIGS Junir Bard nce they have passed the maximum age f membership Bard members can be remved at anytime due t failure t uphld duties and behavir f an OH-PIGS Junir Bard member. In this situatin, the Senir OH-PIGS Cmmittee can appint a replacement fr the vacant psitin.
