2 EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT CHANGES IMPORTANT INFORMATION On arrival at the grounds, please come to the SECRETARY S DESK to collect your program and ensure you have signed the Affinity Waiver Form. All those entering the ring complete a Waiver. PLEASE READ the new Waiver and Insurance requirements HARD COPIES OF ALL RELEVANT MEMBERSHIPS AND REGISTRATIONS MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRIES OR THE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Showing paperwork on mobile phones is not acceptable. Waiver Forms MUST be signed before entries will be accepted. The person named on the Waiver must sign the form, as an agent s signature is not acceptable, and this person will be given an official wristband only those with wristbands will be allowed in the arena. Gate Stewards will only allow those with wristbands to enter the ring. Non-Members of Dilutes Australia Ltd: $10 per person This applies to everyone entering the arena. Forms will be available online or at the secretary s desk. TO BE PAID WITH ENTRIES Only those with the official wristbands will be allowed into the arena Note: a Family Membership with DA now covers ALL persons named on the membership. This new ruling means that if you have more family members on the card then they are covered by the Company s PL with Affinity. Members for those people who help you out at shows etc and who are non-members, they can complete an Annual Non-Member Levy Form and pay $20 for the year. For this offer to be valid, a membership ID number must be provided to attach this Annual levy to. A card will be provided. For all non-members who cannot produce a Non Member Levy Card, a fee of $10 is applicable in order to obtain a wristband. Page 2

3 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Entries close: Friday 7 December All entries must be foal recorded/adult registered in compliance with the relevant breed society s regulations and owners to be financial members of the same and exhibits must be shown under the registered owner s name 2. HARD COPIES OF ALL RELEVANT MEMBERSHIPS AND REGISTRATIONS MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRIES OR THE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Showing paperwork on mobile phones is not acceptable. 3. There will be an entry + copies of membership and registration for every horse or pony exhibited. 4. Substitution in a class is allowed only if the ring steward and judge have agreed. The substituted horse MUST have its own entry and documentation lodged. The horse/pony must be eligible for the designated class. 5. This show is closed to Dilute registration. It is not open to any dilute registration. 6. Exhibits must be shown under the relevant breed society s rules for showing. 7. The lodging of any entry shall bind the exhibitor to the Conditions of Entry set out herein. 8. Any cheque or negotiable instrument received or accepted by the South Australian Branch (SAB) shall be deemed received as a conditional payment and subject to payment on presentation. 9. The AGE of horses is to be calculated AS AT 1 st AUGUST. 10. The South Australian Committee has the power, without assigning any reason to: reject or cancel any entry at any time prohibit the participation of any person or exhibit in any event cancel any event or class, or combine or split any class or classes alter the time at which any event or class is to take place remove any exhibit or exhibitor from the showgrounds transfer any exhibit or exhibitor from any class to another 11. The South Australian Branch Committee shall not be responsible for the loss of, or any damage or injury occasioned to, any exhibitor or the property of any exhibitor 12. The exhibitor enters entirely at his or own risk. In case any exhibit, whilst on the grounds, shall be the cause of any injury or damage to any other exhibit or exhibitor, or the person or property of any member of the South Australian Branch or the general public, the owner of such exhibit shall indemnify the South Australian Branch, its officers and members, from and against all damage, injury or loss occasioned to any of them by the exhibitor or their agent. 13. Any person causing annoyance by loud comments on the decisions of the Judges, or unseemly conduct or insulting behaviour, will, after being cautioned by a South Australian Branch Committee member, be expelled from the Showgrounds, and said person may forfeit any prize money or trophies gained. 14. Should any exhibit having gained a prize be disqualified, the next on the list of awards does not necessarily obtain the same prize. The Disputes Committee, with the advice of the Judge, will decide. 4 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY (contd) 15. PALOMINOS: Should any palomino horse s mane or tail show evidence of being BLEACHED or DYED, they will be DISQUALIFIED. Any exhibitor who has been found to have dyed out spots or dyed or bleached a mane and tail will be disqualified from the class and the Show, and if a member of Dilutes Australia Ltd, will be liable to expulsion. 16. PALOMINOS registered with Dilutes Australia Ltd HALTER Plaited, Banded, Braided and Free Flowing Manes and Tails are permitted in halter classes EXCEPT FOR the Mane and Tail Class where free flowing manes are required. Hogged and FALSE Manes and Tails and Tail Extensions are NOT PERMITTED. 17. CREMELLOS/PERLINOS/CHAMPAGNES colour of skin and hooves may not be masked by dark makeup or hoof black. They must be shown in their natural colour. Clear highlighter is allowed. 18. Any section with height restrictions may be measured on request. 19. All stallions and colts must be in charge of a competent handler/rider 17 years of age or over, and must be under control at all times UNLESS the pony breed society allows for younger handlers 20. The Committee reserves the right to change or amend the program at their discretion. 21. All persons entering the ring must wear appropriate footwear* and headgear. *No joggers, thongs, sandals or soft shoes you must wear boots or hard shoes with covered heels and toes. 22. Horses that wear the prefix of the judge are ineligible. Exhibitors will be notified. 23. Dogs must remain on a leash, not permitted on the oval. 24. No lunging on oval 25. As the president and a long-time committee member the SA branch has always been praised by the support of all members outside the ring being happy and encouraging each other. I know that as a show person that sometimes I am a bit mythed by a judge s decision. I know that my horses don t always win (not sure why they are bloody good. LOL). However, I am not the judge and I encourage other people to follow my attitude to good sportsman like behaviour. So, can we all sit back not expect to win sheep stations, enjoy showing our horses, encourage and support all members and non-members that enter our ring so that everyone can go home experiencing the harmony of people that show in a Dilute Australia Ring.
