2 THE OPPORTUNITY The EQUITANA Team, along with the Oaks Sport Horse Stud, are delighted to be able to offer this two-year-old gelding, Oaks Ontario, for Auction. The Oaks Sport Horse Stud is situated in the Southern Foothills of the Blue Mountains, 60kms South West of Sydney, They breed international quality jumping horses in Australia using the best bloodlines available worldwide. Oaks Ontario is an example of this breeding with his Grand Sire, Heartbreaker, being one of the best sport horse producers in the world. The Oaks Sport Horse Stud is very proud of the achievements of its prodgeny with four of the 6th place WEG Jumping team competing on Oaks Sport Horse Stud horses. The team at EQUITANA is committed to innovation, with 2018 seeing a number of changes and improvements to attract new attendees as well as encourage a large number from previous years to return. One of these changes is the introduction of a Sport Horse Auction. These combined professional bodies are offering you the opportunity to purchase Oaks Ontario and thus to invest in one of the top bred Australian Young Sport Horses with a huge potential for return on investment through: - competing at top international level - being sold overseas. By Orlando out of Oaks Miss Universe, Oaks Ontario has an interesting pedigree which is producing champion jumpers on the European circuit and is, himself, showing the attributes of an international competitor. 3 THE HORSE Oaks Ontario is a handsome two-year-old Bay Gelding bred at the Oaks Sport Horse Stud. His features include: ~ ~ By Orlando, a Belgian Warmblood who is a stallion with great scope and technique combined with a gentle and very ridable temperament. His grand sire is Heartbreaker, one of the best sport horse producers in the world. Orlando has produced over sixty 1.50m m jumping horses, innumerable 1.30m m jumpers, as well as many eventers. ~ ~ Dam: Oaks Miss Universe who comes from bloodlines that breeds strong character, toughness and ability. Her half-sister is WEG superstar Yandoo Oaks Constellation. ~ ~ Oaks Ontario was born 6th December ~ ~ This fellow has an interesting pedigree - his dam is sister of Constellation (WEG, 1.60m), Milky Way (1.60m) and Kosmo (1.50m), his sire is the Heartbreaker x Darco horse, Orlando, that is producing champion jumpers on the European circuits. ~ ~ He is an engaging, soft-natured young gelding. A nice mover and growing into a very careful, athletic horse. ~ ~ Bred in the purple for jumping, Ontario is a handsome, modern sport horse with an inquisitive, interested personality. He is active in all his gaits and has an uphill powerful canter.

THE STUD OAKS SPORT HORSES Although our emphasis is on jumping, our young stock show the movement and temperament that will suit them for the other Olympic disciplines.

~ ~ Oaks horses are currently competing at all levels in Showjumping events throughout Australia, from junior through to Grand Prix and World Cup.

~ ~ Two Oaks horses, Redwood and Constellation, have been named on the 2018 WEG squad; another three are competing on the international circuit in Europe.

~ ~ Oaks Sport Horses have instigated and sponsor a Young Horse series that has been running for eight years and has heightened awareness of the benefits of purpose-bred and the need to develop

There are currently several Oaks Sport Horses making their way through the eventing grades and in the dressage rings as well. ~ ~ Breeders and importers of Showjumping horses since ~ ~ Oaks horses are currently competing at all levels in Showjumping events throughout Australia, from junior through to Grand Prix and World Cup. At the recent Elysian fields event, there were over 20 Oaks-bred horses. ~ ~ Two Oaks horses, Redwood and Constellation, have been named on the 2018 WEG squad; another three are competing on the international circuit in Europe. ~ ~ In eventing, Oaks cordelai won the 2018 Melbourne CSI 3*** and is on the National Recognition Squad. ~ ~ Oaks Sport Horses have instigated and sponsor a Young Horse series that has been running for eight years and has heightened awareness of the benefits of purpose-bred and the need to develop quality horses slowly. ~ ~ We run Showjumping competitions, both at our own property and other venues. We provide coaching, arena hire, and breeding services to outside clients. ~ ~ Our philosophy has always been to start with first class genetics, grow out and nurture in the fresh air, space and paddocks of the Australian environment, and to handle and educate youngsters individually so each horse is provided the best start possible to develop its full potential. ~ ~ We have concentrated on our mare lines, using imported frozen semen to produce offspring with pedigrees to rival any in the world.
