2 Health and Safety: This show is run with due regard to Health and Safety. The person responsible on the day will be Mrs N Bloss. We request that all exhibitors and members of the public comply with requests, written or verbal, from Show Officials which pertain to these regulations in their own best interests. Detailed guide lines can be seen in the Secretary s office on request. Any accidents should be reported to a show official immediately. Regulations regarding the riding of horses and ponies, motorized vehicles and bicycles will be strictly enforced in the interests of all concerned THIRD PARTY INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED GENERAL RULES AND CONDITIONS: This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society and Equifest (All affiliated classes will be judged under the rules of these societies). The Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry. No Entry will be accepted without the appropriate fee. Nomination entries will not be accepted. Every effect has been made to avoid clashing of classes, but sometimes this is unavoidable. Under NO circumstances will classes be held up for any reason. Under NO circumstances will entry money be refunded, even with a vet s certificate. The decision of the Judge is absolute and final. No unauthorized person will be allowed in any ring. Hard Hats (according to the standard described by the society to which the class is affiliated) must be worn by all mounted riders AT ALL TIMES! These fitted with chin straps must be fastened. The Committee does not accept liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, ponies, riders, handlers, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever. Anyone wishing to raise an objection must deposit 25 with the Secretary within one half hour of the end of the class in question. This deposit will be forfeited if the objection is overruled. All cups to be collected from the Secretary, signed for and deposits paid. No Whips to exceed 75cm. Broodmares must be 4 years old and over. Foals must be at least 4 weeks old on the day of the show. All stallions and colts, 2 years old and over, must hold a current Stallion Licence, unless governed by the individual Breed Society. Handlers of stallions and colts must have attained their 14 th birthdays. Riders of Small Breed Stallions must have attained their 12 th birthday and riders of Large Breed stallions must have attained their 14 th birthdays all before 1 st January in the current year.

3 NPS Winter Championship Qualifying Rounds This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society and the NPS affiliated classes will be run under NPS rules. Classes are open to Members and Non-Members of the NPS, but Non- Members will need to become members to enter the finals at the NPS Spring Festival The NPS General Rules for Showing apply (see NPS website for details). In each class the three highest placed ponies, not already qualified, within the first six places, will qualify. Winnings in the 2015/2016 Novice and Pure Novice Winter Championships will not debar ponies from the NPS 2016 Mountain and Moorland Novice Ridden competitions. Qualification cards will be awarded in the ring. NPS Young Rider Championships- Kindly Sponsored by the Underwood Final Over the winter season the following classes also carry qualification for the Young Rider Championships held at NPS Spring Festival M&M Open Ridden Winter Championship WMM-OR M&M Novice Ridden Winter Championship WMM-NR M&M Pure Novice Ridden Winter Championship WMM-PNR M&M First Ridden Winter Championship WMM-FR M&M Novice First Ridden Winter Championship WMM-NFR This Show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 17th 21st August The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. ENTRY FEES: In-hand classes 1-6 NPS Members: 8.00 Non Members: Entries on the Day: Ridden Classes 7 25 NPS Members: Non Members: Entries on the Day: First Aid per Exhibitor/Family: 3.00 Cash only for entries taken on the day.

Class 2: In Hand Youngstock open to any breed or type aged 1, 2 and 3 years old (unaffiliated). Special rosette to highest placed yearling, 2yr and 3yr old. Class 3: LIZ CROSS SHOW TEAM / EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND IN HAND Open to In Hand Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A and B. Stallion, mare, colt, filly or gelding, any age. Class 4: LIZ CROSS SHOW TEAM / EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND IN HAND Open to In Hand Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Welsh C and D. Stallion, mare, colt, filly or gelding, any age. Class 5: BSPA / EQUIFEST IN HAND PIEBALD / SKEWBALD Open in Hand Piebald / Skewbald stallion, mare, colt, filly or gelding, any age. The first three places will also qualify for the BSPA Championships. Subject to their show rules & conditions Class 6: Junior Handler (unaffiliated) To be judged on the handler s presentation and showing technique. Mare and geldings only, strictly no colts or stallions. To be led by a handler who has attained their 7 th birthday but not their 13 th Birthday before 1 st January in the current year. IN HAND CHAMPIONSHIP: 1 ST and 2 nd from classes 1 6 are eligible.

Open to all breeds and types. Class 9: EQUIFEST SHOW HUNTER PONY LEAD REIN / SHOW PONY LEAD REIN T WALKER HGV / EQUIFEST SHOW HUNTER PONY LEAD REIN: Show Hunter Pony Lead Rein, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 122cms. Rider not to have attained their 9th Birthday before 1st January in the current year. DAVEY S LIVESTOCK TRANSPORT LTD / EQUIFEST SHOW PONY LEAD REIN Leading Rein Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 8th birthday before 1st January in the current year. To be led by an attendant and shown in a snaffle bridle. Lead rein to be attached to the noseband only. The two highest placed Show Pony Lead reins and the two highest placed Show Hunter Lead reins to qualify. Class 10: WELLBURY PARK STUD & RIDGEWAY VET PHYSIO / EQUIFEST SHOW PONY FIRST RIDDEN First Ridden Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 128cm. Riders not to have attained their 10th birthday before 1st January in the current year. To be shown in any suitable bridle. Class 11: BSPA / EQUIFEST RIDDEN PIEBALD / SKEWBALD Open ridden Piebald / Skewbald stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over. Riders any age. The first three places will also qualify for the BSPA Championship. Subject to their show rules & conditions.

Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 122cms but not exceeding 133cms. Riders not to have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 133cms but not exceeding 143cms. Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before 1st January in the current year. SIGNATURE COMMUNICATIONS / EQUIFEST RIDDEN SHOW PONIES Open Show Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 148cms. Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. Show Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 128cms. Class 13: EQUIFEST RIDDEN HACKS / EQUIFEST RIDING HORSES MRS C SCOTT / EQUIFEST RIDDEN HACKS Open Show Hacks, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 160cms. Riders any age. Small Hacks mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 154cms. Riders any age. Large Hacks mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 154cms but not exceeding 160cms. Riders any age.

Riders any age. The two highest placed Hacks and the two highest placed Riding Horses to qualify. Class 14: EQUIFEST RIDDEN COBS / MAXI COBS / RIDDEN HUNTERS NUPAFEED / EQUIFEST RIDDEN COBS Open Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 155cms. Riders any age. Open Lightweight Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 155cms. Open Heavyweight Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 155cms. THE HOOD SHOW TEAM / EQUIFEST MAXI COBS Open Maxi Cobs, mare or gelding 4 years old and over, exceeding 155cms to be judged as Cobs. Riders any age. MR E & MRS SA KYDD / EQUIFEST RIDDEN HUNTERS Open Ridden Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over, exceeding 153cms. Riders any age. Lightweight Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, capable of carrying up to 12.7 stone. Middleweight Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, capable of carrying 12.7 stone but not 14 stone. The two highest placed cobs, the two highest placed Maxi Cobs and the two highest placed Hunters to qualify.

8 RING ONE INDOORS NOT BEFORE 13.30pm Judge Classes: Mrs J Woods Class 15: NPS/Marion Williams Memorial M&M Novice Leading Rein Winter Championship, kindly sponsored by Area 25 This Competition is open to mares and geldings four years old or over, registered in the main body of their respective Mountain and Moorland Stud Book. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest and Welsh Section A & B. Not exceeding 122cms. Pony not to have won a first prize in any Leading Rein class. To be shown in a snaffle bit, the leading rein must be attached to the noseband only. The reins must go directly from the bit to the rider s hands. (Riders must not have attained their 9th birthday by 1st January in the current year). Class 16: NPS/Area 25 M&M NOVICE FIRST RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to mares and geldings four years old or over, registered in the main body of their respective Mountain and Moorland Stud Book. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest and Welsh Section A & B. Not exceeding 128cms. Pony not to have won a first prize in any First Ridden class. Ponies must not be cantered except in their individual show. (Riders must not have attained their 12th birthday by 1st January in the current year). NPS / HIRSTMUND STUD M&M PURE NOVICE RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings four years old or over which must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Book. Pony not to have been placed first in any Ridden Mountain & Moorland Class (excluding Lead Rein or First Ridden). All ponies in this class must be shown in a snaffle bit. Rider any age (except stallions see NPS Rules). Class 17: Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A & B Class 18: Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest & Welsh C & D NPS/ HANOVER DAIRIES LTD M&M NOVICE RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings four years old or over which must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Book. Ponies not to have won a first prize of 10 or more in any Ridden M&M Class. Rider any age (except stallions see NPS Rules) Class 19: Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A & B Class 20: Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest & Welsh C & D

9 Class 21: NPS M&M LEADING REIN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND LEAD REIN NPS M&M LEADING REIN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to mares and geldings four years old or over, registered in the main body of their respective Mountain and Moorland Stud Book. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest and Welsh Section A & B. Not exceeding 122cms. To be led by an attendant and shown in a snaffle bit, the leading rein to be attached to the noseband only. The reins must go directly from the bit to the rider s hands. (Riders must not have attained their 9th birthday by 1st January in the current year). CAVERNOMA ALLIANCE UK / EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND LEAD REIN Open to Mountain & Moorland ponies, registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of Dartmoor, Exmoor, New Forest, Shetland and Welsh A or B. Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. To be led by an attendant and shown in a Snaffle Bridle, the lead rein to be attached to the noseband only. Class 22: NPS M&M FIRST RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP CHANTREY FLEMING FAMILY / EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND FIRST RIDDEN NPS M&M FIRST RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to mares and geldings four years old or over, registered in the main body of their respective Mountain and Moorland Stud Book.
