Mare owner(s) or Lessee(s) must sign Section 6. Draw and describe markings in pen or provide pictures (digital or hardcopy). If the Lippitt Morgan has no markings, check the box on the diagram. Complete the DNA application. Both Sire and Dam must have DNA on file. Enclose your registration fees. Registry Application: Except in the case of an Embryo Transfer foal, the record owner (or lessee) of the dam at the time of foaling is responsible for the registration of the foal and will be listed on the registration certificate as the foal s first owner. If the foal being registered is an Embryo Transfer, an Embryo Transfer Application may be required by TLMHR, Inc. Board. A name that has been used before by a registered Lippitt Morgan cannot be used. TLMHR, Inc. may refuse to accept a name that is confusing. Numerical symbols may not be used in the complete name.

3 3 8. COAT COLOR Chestnut Shades from copper-color to light golden red, to dark reddish brown, sometimes Identified as liver chestnut. Mane, tail, and legs arethe color of the body or shades lighter or darker, never black. Dark chestnuts may appear black with exceptions of blonde or red hairs on coronet, pasterns or on the back of legs. Black The muzzle, flanks, and legs the entire coat must be black, with the exceptions of white markings. Although the early foal may be an overall mousy grey, black can usually be determined by the fine black hair on the muzzle. As the foal ages, the coat darkens. Bay Base color coat ranges from light to dark reddish brown hues and bay horses are Distinguished by black mane and tail, legs, ears, knees, and hocks, or any combination of these points. 4 4 MARKS : Star Any white marking occurring on the Lippitt s face above the eyeline. Strip Any white marking below the eye line and above the top of the nostrils, but within the nasal bones. Blaze Any white marking below the eye line, above the top of the nostrils and extending outside both nasal bone lines. Snip Any white marking occurring between the top and bottom of the nostrils. Heel A white marking found on the back of the foot. Coronet A white marking extending to approximately one inch above the hoof. Pastern A white marking extending to the top of the pastern. Fetlock A white marking extending to the top of the fetlock (ankle). Sock A white marking extending to midway on the cannon. Stocking A white marking extending above the midway on the cannon.
