Exit 67A, Horizon Rd. Turn right onto Horizon Rd. Travel approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto FM 549. Travel 0.7 mile, past Cullins Rd. The entrance to the farm will be on the right. Trailer Entrance: From Dallas, take I-30 East. Exit 68, FM 205. Turn right onto 205. Travel approximately 3 1/2 miles. Turn right onto Wylie Lane. The trailer entrance will be on the right. 2 Black Star Spring Dressage Schooling Show Series - Show IV Closing Date: Tuesday, May 15, 2018 Rules and General Information Entries: Each horse/rider combination constitutes an entry. Make checks payable to Black Star Sport Horses. Mail entries with copy of Coggins within 12 months of show date to Show Secretary. Get your entries in early! Special Requests: Please indicate on your entry if you have any special requests regarding ride times, etc. It will not always be possible to accommodate everyone, but best efforts will be made. Entries submitted without payment will be considered late unless check is received by closing date. Late Entries: Contact Show Secretary by phone or , in addition to mailing entry form, to ensure your place in the show. Refund Policy: Before the closing date, all fees except the office fee will be refunded upon request. After the closing date, only stabling fees will be refunded. No cancellations due to weather. Refunds will be mailed within 30 days of the show. No refunds will be made at the show. If there is a waiting list, you may have your class fees refunded. Arena/warm-up: Fully enclosed indoor show ring(s) and warm-up. Lunging area available. Classes will not necessarily be run in order. Effort will be made to run tests in order within each level. Divisions will be combined if class does not exceed 8 entries. Ride Times will be published on the Black Star website at by the evening of Thursday, May 17. Late entries received after this date will be added to the end of the schedule. Only mistakes and major conflicts will be altered after the schedule is published. Show Management: Black Star Sport Horses schooling shows are managed in general similar to USEF/USDF recognized shows; however, these shows are unrated and therefore unregulated by USEF/USDF. Show management reserves the right to make adjustments and allowances while maintaining the spirit of USEF/USDF competition rules. Tests: Links to tests can be found at Attire: Formal show attire is not required but may be worn. A neat, clean appearance (collared shirt, belt) is a sign of respect for the judge. Helmets are required for open and eventing dressage competitors and are recommended for Western dressage and Gaited dressage competitors. Equipment: Protective boots/wraps are allowed. German martingales are allowed in Intro level tests with Junior riders. Awards: Ribbons will be awarded for 1 st -6 th place in each class at each show. At the conclusion of the Spring Series, Champion horses will be recognized in the following divisions: Elementary (Intro-2 nd ), Medium (3 rd -PSG), and Alternative (Eventing, Western, Gaited). Horses must participate in 3 of the 4 series shows to be eligible.
