ALL BREEDS HACK AND OPEN STOCKHORSE CHALLENGE WEEKEND! DUNDOWRAN EQUESTRIAN PARK, LOWER MOUNTAIN ROAD, DUNDOWRAN GATES OPEN 6 AM AND SHOW TO START AT 8AM SHARP. *Classes are $5 each. Day membership available for this event for $15. *Stables must be booked with entries, please note includes a $10 stable deposit with your entries which will be returned when your stable is left clean and checked by a committee member, no deposit no entries. There will be no exceptions to this rule. *Competitors must either be full members of Hervey Bay Active riders or an affiliate member. Day membership available for $15 per competitor. *Children under 18 MUST have and adult guardian at the event for the duration of the event. In the event that a guardian leaves the competitor he/she will not be allowed to compete. *Spectators are to remain outside the warm up area and keep away from any gateway/entry/exit points. Children are to be supervised at all times. Prams are to be kept out of horse areas at ALL TIMES, no exceptions. Your children s safety is of the utmost importance to us all. *STALLIONS must be handled by persons over 18 years of age no exceptions. *The committee reserves the right to evict ANY horse thought to be dangerous or misbehaving to the detriment of other competitors *Bad sportsmanship and mistreatment of horses or fellow competitors will not be tolerated. Any competitor that is proven to exhibit these behaviours will be evicted. *Hervey Bay Active Riders club shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury incurred during the completion, and all competitors and spectators do so at their own risk. Personal accident insurance is the responsibility of each competitor. *The judge s decision is FINAL.. NO discussion or correspondence will be entered into. *Horses are not to be tied up to floats or fences, stables must be used at any time the horse is unattended. 6 Entry $20 per horse/rider. ATTIRE **NO GEAR CHANGES BETWEEN RIDDEN SECTIONS** Hack Challenges English or ASH attire, snaffle bit only. ASH attire recommended, snaffle bits only in all ridden sections with exception to the Junior and Senior Hack Challenge (No twisted wire bits, martingales, tie downs, or hackamores allowed) STALLIONS Stallions and colts may only be handled by a competent person 18 year or over. When being led or ridden they must have a bit in their mouth (2yrs & over) and be under control of the bit. When left unattended they must be suitably restrained e.g. double tied or stabled. ANY HORSE (or person), REGARDLESS OF SEX, DISPLAYING UNRULY OR DANGEROUS BEHAVIOUR MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE ARENA GENERAL RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: 1. The Committee reserves the right to alter or change the program as deemed necessary. Should this day be postponed due to weather or any other reason acceptable to the Committee the nominations already accepted will still apply, no nomination fees will be refunded 2. Horses must compete in all phases of their age group or forfeit any placing earned in sections or overall. 3. If competing more than one horse, please ensure you have enough handlers for each horse. To keep program running smoothly and quickly we need your cooperation. 4. The judge s decision is FINAL - any disputes must be lodged with the secretary in writing within 1 hour of the completion of the event and must be accompanied by a $50 fee (refundable if the dispute is upheld). The decision of the committee on all matters will be final and binding. 5. Any competitor displaying unsportsmanlike conduct, cheating, abusing or threatening a Judge, officials or other competitor will be liable for disqualification. AUSTRALIAN STOCK HORSE REGISTERED 6. Each section to be scored out of 100 points. 7. All horses will be scored for each section, unless disqualified. 3 years and under: 8. The score for High Point is the aggregate of all of the sections. 9. Tie for High Point is to be a count back, with a count back to be based on ridden sections. Riders can be changed provided the event has not commenced and that the rider has a good reason (e.g. sickness, injury) and this substitution can only happen once per horse per event.
