Lion Dave Weber led us in singing America and President Cindy led the Pledge of Allegiance. GUESTS: Vicki Cox, wife of Lion Richard Cox. Liza Baum, wife of Lion Marshall Baum. Ann Davis and son Justin Davis. Natalie Duarte de Escalante. Audrey Corzine. Liz Corzine. CONCERNS: Lion Joy Cox said that Lion Joe Sharp s mother was taken to Riverside Hospital for further surgery. Keep her in your prayers. Lions Gary Warner, Dave White, Gene Oliver, and Tom Gustin continue to need our prayers. Sean Stockman passed away recently. Keep his family in your prayers. GOOD NEWS: Lion John Malone may get to return home this week. Our club house interior looks great after a fresh coat of paint! Lion Dick Tuttle is home, however, he is still not getting around very well. PRAYER: Lion Marshall Baum. AWARD: Lion Cindy Powell announced that Lion Mike Hathaway received an award at the State Convention for his work as Zone Chairman. Lion Mike quickly added that Lion Dee was a part of the reason for the award. OUR MEAL: The family Sharp, led by Chef Joe prepared Poland Park Pasta for our meal tonight. A nice salad, and garlic rolls completed the meal. We had Wendy's Frostys for dessert. OUR COOKS/CLEAN UP: Lions Joe Sharp, Jane Demint, Ryan Sutton, Dee Hathaway, Fred and Emmitt Hempstead.

2 REPAINT YOU THINNERS: Lion Herb Hoosier led the painting crew that spiffed up our club's interior. He was joined by Lions Sam Creech, Linn Davey, Cindy Powell, Gene Donahue, AJ Hamburger, and Melinda Stephens. They did a fine job! SECRETARY S REPORT: Lion Joy reminded us that the fiscal year starts July 1 st for the new fiscal year. You can pay for the full year or 6 months. and that she is now accepting dues TREASURER'S REPORT: Lion Becky Hines said we received a Thank You from Sight and Hearing for our $ donation. Lion George's Kids fund balance is $ FLAGS: We will be putting out flags this Monday, May 28 th (Memorial Day). We need some extra help. THANK YOU: Lion President Cindy said we also received a Thank You from LPCCI for our $ donation. TAIL TWISTER: Lion TT Dave Weber raised $ Part of that amount came as a finder's fee for Lion Mike Hathaway's lost car keys. Lion Mike claimed he picked his pocket. RAFFLE: Lion Neal Senff said raffle profits stand at $2, Lion Mike urged members to sell more tickets. He said now is the time to really add profit to the project. FISH FRY: Lion Emmitt Hempstead said that we netted $3, on our May fish fry. That is quite possibly a record. AJWDBYLIA! SCHOLARSHIP: Lion Richard Cox explained that we awarded our scholarships two weeks ago but one of our recipients was unable to attend. He then introduced Audrey Corzine and her mother Liz Corzine. Audrey is the first recipient of the George Davis Scholarship. Ann Davis and son Justin were on hand for the presentation. CANDLE: President Cindy Powell presented Ann Davis with the program and Lion George's candle from the Necrology Service at our District Convention. PROGRAM: Lion Mike Hathaway introduced Natalie Duarte de Escalante. Natalie is the VIST Coordinator at our VA Hospital. She explained that VIST is the Visual Impairment Services Team. They work with veterans who are legally blind and / or visually impaired. We have included a brochure below with more information.

3 VOICE CORPS: Lion Mike noted that he received a call from Voice Corps leader Dave Nobel and the Corps now has a complimentary subscription (both print and digital) for the Chillicothe Gazette. In the near future the Corps broadcasts will include segments for local recepients.

4 DISTRICT CONVENTION AWARDS: President Cindy presented the awards we received at the District Convention. We received a 2nd place award for Net Growth. Our club is currently the largest in our district. We also received the first place award for Excellence in Communications. INSTALLATION BANQUET: Signup sheet was sent around. KAMP DOVETAIL: Lion Emmitt said we need 30 volunteers to feed the Kampers. Signup sheet is also making the rounds. We expect several LEOS to assist.

5 FEAST OF THE FLOWERING MOON: Lion Joe Sharp said that the Feast begins this Thursday. Organizers need volunteers to work at the information tent on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. If you can help contact Lion Joe for more information. MD 13 CONVENTION: PCC Steve Thornton was elected MD-13 endorsed candidate for International Director following three ballots. Also, the proposed $5.00 dues increase, to be implemented in three phases, failed the required 2/3 majority vote. CALENDAR: May 28-Flags-Memorial Day. June 6- Blood drive June 15-Fish-tenderloin fry #3. June 19-Installation Banquet at Shriners. A sign-up will be sent around again. June 20- Kamp Dovetail. July 2nd- Raffle drawing.
