We have an incredible line-up of trainers for you this year; including the gorgeous Rhiannon Cave-Walker as our handstand & Partner acrobatic coach and the always smiling Sarah Yassin as our Yoga & Acro Yoga instructor. We are super excited about this new adventure & cannot wait to add this to our growing list of Spin Circus events. Spin Circus currently runs three other yearly events; Spin Circus Festival, The Australian Partner Acrobatic Convention & The Australian Hoop Convention. Spin Circus is an open-minded, inclusive and community-focused company that aims to create events that allow people to share and grow their creative passions. 4 Getting to the retreat Take me to paradise baby! The Ark Resort is around a 1 hour car ride from the Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar Airport). Your transfers to and from the airport are included in the cost of our packages. The Ark Resort is located in a less touristy part of Ubud, which is around a 30 minute walk from the main shopping strip, however there are a number of other resorts and eateries close by. From the Airport to The Ark From The Ark into the main part of Ubud Be sure to book your flights to and from Ngurah Rai International Airport. *We will arrange a car to pick you up and bring you to The Ark. The Retreat is located in a quieter part of Ubud around a 30 minute walk from the main tourist area. The lighter (yellow) area shown on this map is the main part of Ubud. Acai Queen is one of our trainers favourite places & a good (delicious) landmark for the main part of Ubud! 4

5 Training Schedule The timetable for the retreat is currently being finalized and will be published on our website closer to the Retreat date. However below is an example of a typical training day. *Please note: your attendance at all the workshops is optional. 6 Retreat Prices Retreat inclusions 6 days & 5 nights accommodation at The Ark. Transfers to and from Denpasar Airport. Daily training sessions from Rhiannon & Sarah. Healthy breakfast each morning (no other meals included, however there are eateries close by and kitchen facilities onsite) 24 hour access to the resort facilities; including a swimming pool, infrared sauna, opening training space, kitchen & access to Wi-Fi. This means there are a number of rooms available, with prices dependent upon room features. We will do our best to get you your room of preference, however room allocations will be given on a first in best dressed system. 7 Meet our trainers Sarah Yassin Sarah is an Egyptian Yoga Teacher certified from YogaWorks school in California, AcroYoga International L2 Teacher, Therapeutic Flying and Thai Massage teacher, AcroYoga Foundational Course licensed facilitator, AirYoga L2 teacher, Gong meditation facilitator, an aspiring abstract artist and ecstatic dancer. She got her bachelor's degree in Media, Philosophy, Theatre and the performing arts from the American University in Cairo. After teaching yoga in Egypt for 4 years, opening her own yoga studio and establishing the AcroYoga Egyptian community, life took her to the beautiful Bali, Indonesia, where she is now happily organizing and leading retreats, teaching workshops and enjoying the island life. She has a passion for being upside down and connecting with people through movement and play. The most private air conditioned garden. Wonderfully quiet with a view of rice field. Intimate, cozy and cute. A writers dream! Rhiannon Cave-Walker Rhiannon began her circus training in the hippy hills behind Byron Bay, Australia. After being exposed to circus at a professional level in Europe, she went on to develop her performance ability, specialising in hand balancing and pair acrobatics at DOCH (Dans och Cirkus Hogskolan) in Stockholm Sweden. Find out more about Sarah via these links... For a number of years Rhiannon was a member of the Circus ensemble Gravity & Other Myths. She also co-directed and performed in the multi-disciplinary Show 'Cadence' and performed across the globe as both a solo and duo artist. 8 Extra Information Payment To secure your place Bali Handstand Retreats requires that you pay the full cost of the retreat. There are no refunds available, however we are happy to offer transfers. Payment can be made by PayPal (however this will incur a + 5% booking fee) or via direct debit into our account (no additional fees for direct debit). The details of the direct debit account will be provided to you once you have completed the application form. *Additional items are available for purchase on-site which may include: Surf lessons & board rental, food & drinks from the cafe, local tours, scooter rental & private lessons. Insurance Please make sure to purchase personal travel insurance as Bali Handstand Retreats takes no responsibility for any injuries or death that may occur on the artist residency premises. We will however provide safe training ground and have a protocol in case of emergency. Equipment The most private air conditioned - room with private garden. The equipment that we do have on site will be yours to enjoy throughout your stay. We ask that you treat it with the respect you would treat your own. 8

9 Reserve your place To reserve your place on the retreat you will need to complete the reservation form on our website. You will then be contacted by our Retreat Manager Mel who will discuss payment options with you and answer any questions you may have. Once we have received your full payment, your place at the retreat will be secured. Mel will keep in contact with you to confirm your flight times to organize your transfers to and from the airport in Bali. Meet the Retreat Manager Mel is a self proclaimed Hackrobat who made her entrance into the circus community by swiping right on Chris Carlos. She spends most of her time entertaining students as a Psychology teacher, however is also a Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor and has a Masters in Counseling. When she is not rolling protein balls, baking cakes or getting excited by an Excel Spreadsheet, she spends her time attempting to handstand in her local gym- confusing the buff dudes and apologizing to the people she falls on.
