1 JUNE 218 FOLK TALES June 17, 218 CERTIFIED NURSES ASSISTANT WEEK JUNE 14th-21st Nursing Assistants are Key Players in Care and interactions with patients, residents and clients. Thank you to all of our CNA s that work tirelessly and selflessly to care for our residents. June 14th we will have an ice cream sundae celebration for our CNA s. Marking Laundry To help us ensure laundry items are returned to their owners, we ask that families and friends let staff know when a resident has a new item of clothing, so that it can be marked appropriately for identification. We use special heat resistant marker pens that last much longer than a regular marking pen, and the laundry department is also able to heat press labels onto clothing as well. The pens are also useful for marking personal bedding items such as blankets and pillows that might be sent to laundry if soiled. It is helpful if families who prefer to do laundry themselves also mark all clothing before bringing into the facility. We ll gladly provide you with a heat resistant marker, see Tonya in housekeeping. We appreciate your help! Platte County Hospital/NH District Board of Directors Chuck Frederick, Chairman Rick Bowen, Chair Jerry Orr, Secretary Lori Modesitt, Treasurer Rob Hellbaum Britt Wilson Tom Reddicks Candy Wright Thank you to whomever sent the Indian Corn Seeds and Glass Gem Corn seeds. I appreciate the thoughtful gift and cannot wait to get them planted in our garden. Thank you again, June Durflinger COMING SOON: Residents are painting rocks to hide around our community. Watch for rocks labeled PCLH 218 and send us a picture of you and the rock to: leighanne.mcgill@pcmnh.com Platte County Hospital/NH Foundation Board of Directors Bobbi Lockman Lori Modesitt Sandy Meir Carolyn Foster
