2 SPEEDWAY RULES, REGULATIONS & GERERAL INFO WARNING NOTICE Motor racing is dangerous. It is a condition of admission that spectators and all persons attending this meeting do so entirely at their own risk. All persons, corporations, clubs and associations having any connection with the promotion or conduct of the meeting, including the owners and occupiers of the land and the drivers and owners of the vehicles, are absolved from liability or damage to spectators and all other persons at the meeting, no matter whether for negligence or as occupier or on any other basis and no matter whether such injury or damage be foreseeable or howsoever such injury or damage be caused. PATRONS MUST ENTER GROUNDS AT THEIR OWN RISK. INDEMNIFICATION The promoters shall not be held responsible to any person or persons, company or syndicate, for injuries sustained by any person, person and / or personnel. Nor will they (the Promoters) accept responsibility for the damage to any property what so ever, regardless of whom it belongs. This also covers the loss of properties. BLACK FLAG w WHITE STRIPE Caution Flag, report to steward BLACK FLAG Competitor is to withdraw ASAP BLACK FLAG w WHITE DOT Mechanical Defect, withdraw ASAP BLUE FLAG w YELLOW DOT Passing Flag FOOD A variety of food and drinks are available for purchase at assorted vendors situated in the general public area and a canteen in the pit area. ALCOHOL The Rockhampton Showgrounds is strictly a NO B.Y.O. venue. Management and security reserve the right upon entrance to the venue to inspect bags, eskies or containers for the presence of alcohol. Alcohol is available for purchase at the People s Bar, which is located next to the main grandstand. RESTROOM FACILITIES Men s and ladies toilet facilities (including toilets with disability access) are available in both the pits and the public areas. EVENT CANCELLATION Should it be deemed necessary, whether due to inclement weather, mechanical or electrical malfunctions or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond the promoter s control, to cancel the event before the FIFTH event, pass-out tickets for the next race meeting will be issued. No money will be refunded under any circumstance. PIT AREA RESTRICTION We must restrict access to the pits unless you have a licence issued by Speedway Australia. We welcome you to look at the cars and talk to the drivers after the race meeting, but we must ask that you refrain from this area during the race meeting. Dress code for the pit area requires that closed shoes be worn. If you want to gain access to the pits during a race meeting, and do not hold a Speedway Australia Licence, you can obtain entry by paying a $15 fee at the pit entry gate. You must be over the aqe of 18. The Pit Area is an alcohol free zone at all times. We welcome everyone to come down to the pits for free, after the meeting has finished, to get your favourite driver s autograph! An adult must accompany children.
