General Meeting. 06/10/2015 The general meeting of the Gippsland Go-Karts was held at our clubrooms, on Tuesday 6 th October, 2015 and was declared opened at 7.10 pm by President Peter Aitken. (Gippsland waiting for the company to come and fix them) Have been done. Swan Hill _ Ross to look at their issues next race day. Club s that want to have their track capacity extended from their original track capacity need to write to VKA asap for approval. The In and Out grid must be able to have the amount marked on the grids. State Technical: KA 100 restrictor gauge now available for all clubs. Our club has purchased one. Checking of ignitions for the KA100, Mini ROK and the X30 at race meetings. State Scrutineer: NIL. Historic Karting: NIL. Some of the agenda items: Item 1: 2016 race calendar update. Should have KA dates next week. More from delegates report next month. Item 2: New constitution draft 2. (Discussion) Wimmera asked a few questions on the draft. To go to a Special General meeting to be held after the VKA..AGM for voting. More answers to that item next meeting. General Business: VKA. Albury Wodonga is cancelling their open meeting on the 15 th November due to holding the Victoria State Cup. Thank you Graeme for your report. Corespondence.Moved Geoff Medew, Second: Barry Stratton. In & Out: Race Results: We had a few karters go to Goulburn Valley for the Australasian Kart titles held 19 th /9/2015 Troy Alger came fist in Junior National Light. Marcas Fraser second in Junior Performance. Benny Bargwanna Fourth in Junior Performance. We had drivers who did well in their classes: Sam Morrow and Todd Blackney in Restricted 125 Heavy. Bailey Collins in Cadet 12. Samuel Downing in Junior National Light. and Blaine Densley in TAG 125 Light. GVKC had 125 entries. Congratulations to all our karters. Some of our drivers went to Ipswish for the 2015 Rotax Pro Tour Grand Final. Graeme and Jeanette also went. 199 entries Weather was humid. Congratulations to the drivers who travelled north. General Business: Peter Aitken:.The small lawn mower has blown engine. Correa boys cold get a new short engine for $ Peter got in touch with Tim Marriott about a new engine $ Peter to ask Tim about fitting and warranty? Peter will give the answers next meeting.

3 The President got in touch with Peter and requested if they could borrow some of our radios for the Inter-Club day. It was agreed with the members that we loaned them a couple, as a lot of our officials will be going up to help and they have their own. Bairnsdale looking forward to us coming up. Please remember that we are going to Barinsdale to race on October 25 th. You can go up for the weekend and practice on the Saturday. It will be good weekend, when we had them before we all had a great time. Good track. Glenn Wall: Mr. Morrow from Steeline has offered the club some help for the new tech shed. We need new cement floor. Approx $ Extending the tech shed. It will make it a lot bigger. It will be an L shape, Glenn Wall in the project manager. Please if Glenn needs some help for the project, I am sure that if you ask him, how you can help Glenn will be able to tell you. We have to remember that it is for all of us in the club to make our buildings better. Tony Correa said that own engine builders want to do their own. Phil said they are not allowed in, only when invited. Geoff Medew moved a motion that we go ahead with the project, the motion was second by Graeme Monds. Geoff Medew: asked Grant Wicks how did the display go down at Bunnings. Grant s reply was not as well as he would have liked, a few showed interest. Maybe it was the position that they were in, over at the back, next time Grant will try and get a better position. Thanks to all who helped Grant on the weekend, it was greatly appreciated. Geoff mentioned that we need to have a working bee. Tony Correa cannot do everything. We need the fix the drainage at second corner near the old container. Spraying needs to be done, general clean up. Cannot leave it as it will get out of hand. More about this later, they have not fixed a date/s for this. Geoff Curley: Asked that a sympathy card be sent to one of our sponsors s family on his death. Fly logo was shown about for Frosty s kart as he is loaning it to us for the display. The fly was done by Blaine Densley. Thank you Blaine. Lorraine Aitken: Received another from Lou Viggiano he has a friend that would like to be a sponsor of the club. Lorraine passed all information to Geoff Curley. Graeme Monds: Power Series. A one day event. A discussion was held with members present, Graeme will have to talk to the other clubs involved. Last round to be a two day event. All points counts, NOT only final. Sunday only racing.in earlier rounds. Lots of clubs would like to go into the series, but they do not have the personnel to run them. There will be a lot more discussions about this matter, and you will be informed when anything is changed or not. When everything is discussed and the final decision is made everyone will be informed. Remember this is only an idea?? Grant Wicks: The old A frame needs some work on it, but Grant would like to do some work on it. Thank you Russell for the loaned of your kart for our displays. Transponders: The price of transponders this year is $ Members: If you want to renew your license, you have to do your membership first. If you wish to race on a race weekend, and your license is due for renewal, you must have your license done with Lorraine by the Wednesday before the race meeting, as they have to have all information about your licence on the computer by late Wednesday night.
