PROMOTER & SENIOR OFFICIALS Held under the International Sporting Code of the FIA, the National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS) Race Meeting Standing Regulations, the Speed Event Standing Regulations, these Supplementary Regulations and any Further Regulations or Bulletins that may be issued. The event shall be a Club Level Race Event, incorporating a Club Level non-competition Drift Event. The Promoters reserve the right to vary the program of events. Certain public, property, professional indemnity and personal accident insurance is provided by CAMS in relation to the event. Further details can be found in the CAMS Insurance Handbook, available at This Event will be conducted under and in accordance with CAMS OH&S and Risk Management Policies, which can be found on the CAMS website at The promoter shall be the North Australian Motor Sports Club Inc. of P.O. Box 37393, Winnellie, NT, Senior Officials are as listed: Event Secretary: Tanya Wilkinson Assistant Event Secretary: Gail Kroonstuiver Chief Scrutineer Jake Kroonstuiver Clerk of Course: Andrew Billsborrow Assistant Clerk of Course: Alan Langworthy Chief Steward: Brenton Taylor Additional Stewards: Graham Tonor/Steven Coyte Chief Timekeeper: Laurie Feehan The Clerk of Course, Assistant Clerk of Course, Starter, Chief of Communications, Chief Scrutineer, radar operator and Flag point officials shall be Judges of Fact. 2. VENUE & DATE The event shall be held on Saturday 22 nd August 2015 at Hidden Valley Raceway, Darwin. Hidden Valley is a 2.9 km hotmix asphalt track and the direction of racing is anti-clockwise. Event Setup, scrutineering and document checking may take place on Friday 21 st August Event Organisers reserve the right to cancel, abandon or postpone the event in accordance with NCR 59 of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. 3. MEMBERSHIP & INSURANCE Competitors in all classes must be Associate Members (or higher) of the North Australian Motor Sports Club Inc. One day memberships are available, if required, and can be obtained at a cost of $ Please ensure this is requested in your entry. The one-day membership is only available to competitors who have not been a member of NAMSC for the current Calendar Year. The appropriate TEDA and Race Affiliations are also required. Minimum CAMS Licences Circuit Race: Provisional Clubman Circuit (PCC) Lap Sprint: Level 2 Speed Drift: Level 2 Non-Speed Personal Accident Insurance is included in the cost of a CAMS Licence. An appropriately equipped safety/rescue vehicle will be available throughout the entire activity. A qualified First Aider and ambulance will be present with access to a Medical Kit.

2 4. ENTRIES Entries open upon publication of these Regulations. Entries close 5:00 pm Friday 14 th August Entries will be accepted until 8:00 pm Friday 21 st August 2015 only for those competitors who are attending a NAMSC event for their first time. All prices include GST. Half Pit Bay is optional for all categories; cost is $20.00 per day. Race Competition/Drift: $90.00 Entries may be submitted online (preferred) via Event Organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry in accordance with NCR 83 of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. Entries shall be accepted in order of receipt of entry and full payment. Entries shall be limited to 50 per category. Payment for entry/s can be made by credit card, direct bank deposit, cheque or cash. For ease of identification of internet transfer payments, please enter your Surname and entry confirmation number from the website in the notes section, e.g Money can be transferred into the NAMSC Westpac account: Account Name: North Australian Motor Sports Club Inc. BSB Number: Account Number: Payment MUST be RECEIVED in the NAMSC bank account by the entry closing date/time. Please ensure you allow time for bank transfers to be received by NAMSC prior to the close of entries. Refunds of entry fee are only available if NAMSC is notified of withdrawal prior to scrutineering close. 5. SCRUTINY/DOCUMENT CHECKING Scrutiny for all categories shall take place on Friday 21 st August 2015 between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, in Pit Bay 26, with document checking and lodgement of Driver s Disclaimer to be completed in Pit Bay 25. You are required to print your DISCLAIMER EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY, RELEASE AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK COMPETITORS AND/OR DRIVERS and the applicable NAMSC SCRUTINEERING FORM. Copies of forms may be provided at a cost of $5 per form. Both forms must be presented along with your current CAMS licence and proof of current CAMS affiliated club membership, and vehicle log book (if applicable) to the Race Secretary in Pit Bay 25 prior to presenting your car to Scrutineers in Pit Bay 26. No vehicle will proceed onto the race track until it has been passed by the Scrutineers and all paperwork has been received. Failure to produce documents will result cancellation of your entry. All vehicles (including drivers apparel) MUST be presented to the Scrutineers prior to entering the competition area. Advertising on vehicles is permitted in accordance with Schedule K of the CAMS Manual of Motorsport. Driver apparel will comply with the requirements of Schedule D of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport applicable to the appropriate category (Drift/Speed/Race/Motorkhana). Apparel for drivers and passengers on the skid pan shall be as per Schedule D of the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport for motorkhana events. 6. OFFICIALS SIGN ON/BRIEFING Race/Drift: - Base of tower, at approximately 4:45 pm Saturday 22 nd August DRIVERS BRIEFING Failure to attend may result in a $100 Fine; Late Attendance may result in a Warning in accordance with NCR 9.4 Minimum Penalties. Wrist Bands for Track-access will only be available at Pit Bay 25 PRIOR to the official s briefing these wrist bands show Officials you are an Insured Competitor no driver will be permitted on the track without a Track Wrist Band. A compulsory drivers briefing for all classes will be held as per the following; Race/Drift: - Base of tower, at approximately 5:30 pm, on Saturday 22 nd August 2015.

3 8. PITS & OTHER RESTRICTED AREAS Hidden Valley is a NO SMOKING venue - smoking is only permitted in the nominated areas during the meeting. Pit garages will be allocated on a First come, first served basis. Garages are only for parking of competing vehicles, Scrutineering and Race Day only. Any member of a pit crew who will be trackside of the Pit Bay roller doors MUST sign a Pit Crew Indemnity, where they will be issued a Trackside Wrist Band. This will be available at pit bay 25. No person will be permitted Trackside without the appropriate Wrist Band. No person shall enter the Pit area/pit lane without wearing the appropriate clothing and footwear. No persons under the age of 10 years will be allowed in the Pit area without proper supervision. WHERE MEMBERS OF HIS/HER TEAM OR PERSONS IN HIS/HER PIT DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE, A DRIVER MAY BE PENALISED, INCLUDING EXCLUSION FROM FURTHER PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT. The maximum permitted speed in Pit lane is 40 km/h. Pit Lane Speed may BE MONITORED by RADAR SPEED GUN. Penalties may apply for exceeding Pit Lane speed in accordance with NCR 9.4 Minimum Penalties All vehicles in Pit lane must travel in race direction with the exception of being driven into and out of pit bays. Trailers or unloading of race cars is not permitted in Pit lane during the event. Organisers reserve the right to remove any person from the Pit Lane at their discretion. 9. EVENTS/START PROCEDURE TEDA DEMONSTRATIONS Drift Demonstrations shall take place around the track between race events. Competitors must be graded at A or B only. This event is not open to beginners. A Grade entrants may drift from Turns 1-14 inclusive. B Grade may only drift turns 5-7. Unacceptable behaviour will lead to penalties or elimination from further sessions. The judgement of Marshalls, Officials and Judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into whatsoever. RACE CATEGORIES NT Titles The NT Titles will be conducted over 3 races, for Commodore Cup, HQ Holden and Improved Production Cars. All vehicles will be compliant with the relevant National Category Specifications, as per below. Races 1 & 2 will be of 5 lap duration and Race 3 shall be conducted over 7 laps. IPRA-NT - Vehicles complying with Group 3J: Improved Production Cars Commodore Cup - Vehicles complying with Group 3D: Commodore Cup (VB-VH) Technical Regulations. Due to limited supply of the required tyre type, Medium compound 225/45/16 Yokohama AO50's may be used. HQ Holden - Vehicles complying with Group 3H: HQ Holden. NT Production Car - Vehicles complying with the following groups: Group 2A: Sports Cars, Open and Closed / Sports Cars, Closed Group 2B: Marque Sports Cars Group 2C: Supersports Group 2F: Production Sports Cars Group 3D: Sports Sedans Group 3D: Commodore Cup (VB-VH) Technical Regulations Group 3D: Commodore Cup (VR-VS) Technical Regulations Group 3E: Series Production Cars Group 3J: Improved Production Cars Group 3K: Saloon Car Technical Regulations NT Production cars are invited to race within the Improved production Category races however are not eligible for points and are not eligible for the Improved Production NT Title. Grid Positions will be allocated by qualifying, and finishing places thereafter. The NT Titles for each Category will be decided by the finishing positions in Race 3 with 1 st 2 nd and 3 rd places awarded for each category, unless fewer than 4 cars are entered in a category.. NT Production Cars will not be eligible for the NT Title.

4 On the instruction of an official, cars will leave the marshalling area for one observation/warm up lap. At the end of this lap, each car will stop on the grid in its allocated starting position. When the starter is satisfied that all cars are correctly positioned, he will indicate that there is approximately five seconds before the red light is to be switched on. At a time, not less than four seconds and not more than seven seconds after the red light is shown, the start of the race will be indicated by the extinguishing of a the red light. The red light may be replaced by the green light. If the lamps are not functioning, a green flag will be used, being raised at the five second mark, and dropped to indicate the start of the race. Flashing yellow lights will indicate a delayed or aborted start. Turning off the yellow flashing lights will indicate approximately ten seconds before the red light is to be switched on again. Any car that is unable to take its place on the grid will start the race in Pit lane at the direction of an official, and only after the rest of the field has passed Pit Exit. Any car that is still on the starting grid after the starting signal has been given may be pushed by officials. Any car not stationary or in front of its start position grid line at the race start signal may be penalised at the discretion of the Clerk of Course. Combination of Race Categories: The organisers reserve the right to combine categories and amend the program of events accordingly. In the event that race categories are combined the starting procedure will be determined by the combined qualifying results and finishing positions thereafter. CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS Categories competing for NT Titles shall not be eligible for Championship Points. NT Production Cars shall not be eligible for Championship Points. 10. TIMING Timing for race/sprint categories will be by way of Dorian electronic transmitter. Any vehicle not having a Dorian timer fitted will result in no times being recorded, or points being allocated for that race (if applicable). 11. FUEL Fuel will NOT be available at the circuit. Fuel must comply with Schedule G of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. When refuelling of vehicles is taking place, the requirements stated in General Requirements for Cars and Drivers - Schedule N Fuel Tanks and Refuelling must be adhered to. As per General Requirements for Cars and Drivers - Schedule N Fuel Tanks and Refuelling, Section 2.1; When refuelling, a minimum quantity of extinguishment of 9kg of dry powder type which must be in either one or two extinguishers must be available for use in the pit. 12. OH&S This meeting is covered by the CAMS OH&S policy. Each competitor and crew should make themselves aware of the policy and are responsible for compliance with this policy with respect to their race team, crew and equipment. A copy of the Policy is available on the CAMS website at or may be viewed in Race Control at this meeting. CAMS consider safety to be a joint responsibility which must be shared by all its stakeholders. CAMS expects that all employees, stakeholders and visitors to its permanent workplaces and the temporary environment created by the events and activities which it sanctions, will comply with relevant Occupational Health and Safety legislation and CAMS safety policies and procedures, and at all times protect the health, safety and welfare of themselves, of those with whom they work, event patrons and the community. 13. GENERAL It is recommended that all competitors wear a Frontal Head Restraint to provide added protection during an accident. Vehicles must be adequately muffled to comply with noise restrictions. All electrical equipment and extension cords used by competitors must display a current safety tag. Drivers leaving the race surface are required to slow down and re-enter the track safely without causing undue damage to grassed verges. Competitors are reminded that swerving to warm tyres is not permitted until a vehicle has passed the Pit Lane Blend Line, and is permitted on warm up laps only. 14. DANGEROUS DRIVERS AND CARS Competitors are reminded of the Code of Driving Conduct as set out in the CAMS Manual of Motorsport. The Promoter reserves the right to exclude either before or during the event any driver or car which they consider to be unsuitable or unsafe, for any reason.

5 Protests must be lodged in accordance with Part XII of the current CAMS Manual. 15. ALCOHOL, DRUGS AND OTHER SUBSTANCES Any holder of a CAMS Competition or Officials licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) may be tested for the presence of drugs (or other banned substances) and subject to a penalty(ies) for a breach in accordance with the CAMS Anti-Doping Policy and/or the CAMS Illicit Drugs in Sport (Safety Testing) Policy as published on the CAMS website. Consumption of alcohol in the paddock, pits or any section of the competition venue/course under the control of the Officials is forbidden until all competition is concluded each day. Accordingly, any holder of a CAMS Competition or Officials licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) may also be tested for the presence of alcohol by a CAMS Accredited Testing Official (CATO) in accordance with the CAMS Standard Operating Procedure for Breath Alcohol Testing.
