4 About SportsCar_People AS THE SPORTS CAR CLUB OF AMERICA CELEBRATES ITS 70TH ANNIVERSARY IN 2014, OUR COMPANY IS PROUD TO BEGIN ITS 31ST YEAR AS PUBLISHER OF SPORTSCAR, THE SCCA MEMBER MAGAZINE. SCCA WAS WHERE I BEGAN MY CAREER IN MOTORSPORTS AND SCCA-INSPIRED PASSION LED ME TO START OUR COMPANY IN As the Sports Car Club of America celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2014, our company is proud to begin its 31st year as publisher of SportsCar, the SCCA member magazine. SCCA was where I began my career in motorsports and SCCA-inspired passion led me to start our company in All of us at Racer Media & Marketing, Inc. are SCCA members, and several of us are active SCCA participants. Participation in motorsports is exactly what the SCCA is all about. SCCA membership is growing and now stands above 42,000 more when weekend memberships are counted. This growth was driven by an increase in participation across all areas of the club, including more than 700 entries at the 50th SCCA National Championship Runoffs and more than 1000 competitors at the Tire Rack Solo National Championships. In 2013, we re-launched SportsCar with a bold new format and improved production values that reflect the SCCA and Racer Media & Marketing s shared commitment to excellence. SCCA members and advertisers have embraced SportsCar s many improvements, as well as our expanded coverage of SCCA activities on RACER.com.
