CIRCUIT DETAILS Circuit Name: Eastern Creek International Karting Raceway Track B Circuit Address: Rear of 50 Peter Brock Drive Eastern Creek NSW 2148 Track Length: 1026 Metres Direction Of Racing: Anti Clockwise Track Density: 40 Notice Board: Located at the exit of the In-Grid Stewards Office: Located at the race secretary s building Mechanical Breakdown Lane: Will Not Be in use at this Meeting. Parc Fermé: On the In-Grid 2. ADMINISTRATION The Competition Groups listed below are permitted to compete at this Meeting. 1. COMPETITION GROUPS Competition Group 4SE - Subaru Endurance 175KG 2. ENTRIES Competition Group names as listed in the 2018 Australian Karting Manual Competition Rules Chapter 5 Rule 7 must be used. Eligible Classes for each Competition Group 2.1 ENTRIES OPEN: 9.00am 25/01/ ENTRIES CLOSE: The Wednesday prior to the commencement of the Meeting 5.00PM 7/03/ LATE ENTRIES In accordance with State Regulations Late Entries Will Not be accepted. 3. ENTRY FEE 3.1 The Entry Fee for each Competition Group at this Meeting including GST and TDF is as follows: Competition Group Name Entry Fee Subaru KX21 Endurance 175KG $450 per team plus $25 per driver 4. ENTRY PROCEDURE 4.1 All entries are to be made via the club website via the Race Entry page. 4.2 Payment of the Entry Fee can be made as follows: EFT: SKA of New South Wales Inc. BSB: Account No: MINIMUM ENTRIES is the minimum number of pre entries which must be received for each Competition Group. Page 2 of 6

3 3. COMPETITION 1. FORMAT OF RACING 1.1 Practice 1 Practice session/s of 20 minutes will be held. 1.2 Qualifying 1.3 Heats & Final 2. DISTANCES Endurance Race There Will be Timed Qualifying at this Event. There will be one (1) Qualifying session of 6 minutes If Timed Qualifying occurs (Order of Karts on the grid must be random no high/low numbers) The system of gridding will be in accordance with State Regulations - Club Competition Format 12 8 Hours 3. ACCESS TO CIRCUIT 3.1 Competitors will be permitted to enter the Circuit from 6.00am on 11/03/ DRIVERS BRIEFING 4.1 DATE: 11/03/2018 TIME: 7.30AM LOCATION: On the In-Grid below the control tower 5. FUEL The Control Fuel is Caltex Vortex 95 to be purchased no more than two days prior to the event. Competitors must supply their own Vortex 95 fuel for the practice session administered from their own fuel safe containers in the paddock area. The amount of fuel each team must supply the race meeting for the Endurance Race is 32 Litres. Endurance Race Fuel must be contained in 20L red fuel safe containers with your kart number clearly displayed. Endurance Race Fuel must be left adjacent to the fuel rig immediately after driver sign on. After the completion of practice all re-fuelling will be exclusively administered by the fuel marshall from the fuel rig. Breach of this rule is exclusion from the event. 6. TROPHIES AND PRIZES Trophies will be awarded to 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd Outright and 1 st 2 nd & 3 rd position in CHAMP Class. 7.1 $100 will be awarded to Pole Position courtesy of Pro-Axle Narellan. $100 will be awarded to the fastest CHAMP Class team in qualifying known as CHAMP Class Pole. 8. TYRES 8.1 Permitted tyres for this event are : Dry: Dunlop SL1A (Front: 10 x 4.50 x 5 Rear: 11 x 7.10 x 5) Wet: Dunlop KT6-SLW1 (Front: 10 x 4.00 x 5 Rear: 11 x 6.50 x 5) 4. CIRCUIT SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS 1. PADDOCK ALLOCATION Paddock allocation Will Not occur for the Meeting 2. MEDICAL SERVICES 2.1. Any Medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours when Kart s are not on the Race Track please contact 000. Pit Crew with trolleys Will be given access to the Circuit during Qualifying and Racing at the direction of the Clerk of Course and only once karts are under controlled conditions Retrieval of Karts is at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course 3.3. Pit Crew must only enter the Circuit when permitted by the Grid Marshal or the Clerk of the Course and then only if wearing a HIGH VISIBILITY SAFETY VEST on the upper torso Karts can be retrieved via Pit Entry or Exit Gates 4. ADDITIONAL VENUE REQUIREMENTS 4.1. Subject to any applicable laws which may govern the access of animals, including but not limited to guide dogs, no animals are allowed anywhere within the facility No dumping of Fuel or Tyres, please make your own arrangements No unlicensed driving of motor vehicles permitted at the circuit No motorised scooters, mini bikes, roller blading, skateboards and tricycles allowed at the complex during the entire Meeting. Officials may confiscate any such items for the duration of the Meeting Marquees are not to be erected without consent of the Club. Page 4 of 6

5 5. STANDING SKANSW Inc. REGULATIONS 5. STANDING REGULATIONS ENDURANCE RACE 5.1. The minimum number of drivers for this event is three (3) per team Rear of Field Starting Position. The following breaches will result in a rear of field starting position. a) Karts still within pit lane or paddock at 8.55AM or when the pit lane exit closes for the race start. b) Karts removed from pit lane for any reason after the completion of qualifying. c) After Qualifying, any team that carries out work to their kart other than adjustment of weights or tyre pressures. Race Completion The chequered flag will be shown to the kart in first position the first lap after 8 Hours racing duration or 5.05PM local time on the official timing screen. (Which-ever occurs first). COMPULSORY DRIVER EXIT from the kart during a COMPULSORY PIT STOP (CPS) or a STOP GO PENALTY Every time a kart enters the pit lane it is now COMPULSORY the kart stops safely in the designated driver change area. One of the following must occur. a) During a Stop Go Penalty, the driver must exit the kart, stand beside the kart in an upright position on two feet with their hands by their side. The same driver must then re-enter the kart and proceed. b) During a CPS, a driver can exit the kart and follow the procedure outlined directly about in 5.4 a) c) During a CPS, the driver that enters pit lane can complete a driver change to a registered team mate. Teams that fail to comply will be given a STOP GO PENALTY. Classified Finishers a) Must complete all twelve (12) compulsory pit-stops in accordance to the rule book and these regulations. b) Must complete three (3) compulsory re-fuelling stops. c) Must traverse its last lap within two (2) minutes or less of the lead kart receiving the Chequered Flag. Teams that fail to comply will be awarded LAST POINTS FOR THE MEETING. Fuel Bay and Driver Change exclusion times. a) No driver change will count in the first thirty (30) minutes of the race. b) The fuel bay is closed for the first thirty (30) minutes and last thirty (30) minutes of the race. Announcements will be made regarding this at each event over the public address system. Endurance Race Refuelling Procedure. A whiteboard adjacent to the fuel bay known as the fuel board will be used to reserve the fuel bay(s). a) Teams wishing to refuel must place their number on the fuel board. b) Once a team places their number on the board they have three (3) laps to pit and use the first available fuel bay otherwise their number will be placed at the bottom of the list. c) Once a team completes their fuel stop their number is removed from the board and the next team on the fuel board has access to the next available bay. Teams that fail to comply will be given a 10 Lap timing penalty. Driver ID Every driver in a team must have a different coloured patch to their team mates visibly attached to their driving suit for Driver identification purpose. Colour patches are available from the race secretary s office. Teams that fail to comply will be given one warning per team. Further breaches will result in the kart returning to the pit lane for the situation to be rectified. Driving Time Limits i) Each Driver must not exceed 60 minutes of continues driving. ii) Each Driver must have a Minimum of 20 minutes of resting time. Page 5 of 6

6 5.10. iii) iv) Minimum penalty for each Offence is five (5) Computer laps. Should pit lane be closed resulting in a team exceeding the 60 minutes maximum driver stint no penalty will be applied if the team pits no later than one full racing lap after the pit lane re-opens. The Pit Loop will be located at Pit Entry. The Stint Time Stops when you cross the Pit Loop at Pit Entry and re-starts when you next cross the start finish line Pit Lane Speed 15KMH, Judge of Fact. Teams that fail to comply will be given a stop go penalty Pit Lane Closed Board At the discretion of the clerk of course a Pit Lane Closed board may be used to close pit lane. This will be shown prior to the pit exit. Teams that fail to comply will be given a stop go penalty. Stop Go Penalties No mechanical repairs to the kart, driver changes or refuelling can occur during a stop go penalty. Teams that fail to comply will be given a 10 Lap timing penalty Ballast must be firmly secured whilst the kart is stationary Kart Recovery Should a kart be recovered via a trolley this will count as a compulsory pitstop. The clerk of course will monitor stops on the timing screen to ensure all teams meet the minimum requirement SKANSW Inc.
