1 15 th ANNUAL DELAWARE FALL THROWERS CLASSIC Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the University of Delaware, Newark, DE GPS address is 621 S. College Ave. Newark, DE Dear Thrower: We hope you will join us again on Sunday, September 18 th for our 15 th annual throwers only meet. We have new throwing facilities. Our new circles are located behind the Townsend Building (Ag Hall) and the Fred Rust Ice Skating Arena and Outdoor Swimming Pool complex. It is boarded on the south-end by the Bob Hannah Baseball Stadium and is directly across the street from Allen Lab. (To view parking areas and throwing fields go on line at udel.edu/parking.) Registration this year is by only. Send the event or events you want to enter, your gender, your DOB and your age must be included. Send to Larry Pratt at On the day of the meet EVERYONE but javelin throwers must report to the registration tent, located at the main throwing area across the street from Allen Lab. Javelin throwers will go directly to Grant Stadium for registration and weigh-in to complete entry form and waiver and pay your entry fee. Make checks payable to University of Delaware. WE WILL WEIGH AND MEASURE ALL IMPLEMENTS. The javelin will be weighed and measured in Grant Stadium next to the javelin registration tent. All other implements will be weighed and measured at the main registration tent across from Allen Lab. Parking for the JAVELIN ONLY throwers is behind the Bob Carpenter Center (BCC) Parking for all other throwers is behind the Townsend Building Lot #2 (see UD parking map for location of BCC parking and Townsend parking ) The WEIGHT PENTATHLON JAVELIN will be thrown on GRASS outside the stadium and on the same field as the throwing circles. Parking for WP athletes is in lot #2 behind the Townsend Building. This year the Weight Pentathlon entries will be a separate group and will as separate age group. Below is the Meet Information for this year s meet along with five year age group records for individual events and the weight pentathlon. The event schedule is tentative and will change only if the number of entries in any given age group becomes too large we will not start earlier than the event schedule in this .

2 15 th Annual Delaware Fall Throwers Classic SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 TH 2016 Open to both male and female throwers ages 13 and up first event is 8:30 AM Entry Fee is $25 first event, additional events are $5 each. Weight Pentathlon is $40 dollars & $5/event for WP athletes who wish an additional 3 throws. All proceeds go to support the Delaware s Womens Track and Field Program. Registration is by only Deadline is 9/15/ your entry to Larry Pratt at discoach@aol.com list the event or events you want to enter, your gender, your date of birth and your age as of the date of the meet. You will pay your entry fee at the registration tent on the day of the meet. Directions from the North: Rt. 95-S exit 1-B or Rt. 896 N. Turn right after the 5th light & Delaware Field House. Park behind the Townsend Building lot #2 to register. After registration, Javelin throwers will park behind the Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center in Lot 106. From the South: Rt. 95-N exit 109-B take Rt. 279 N. then right at Rt. 4, left at Rt.896, then turn right after the 2 nd light and passing the Delaware Field House. GPS address is 621 South College Ave., Newark, DE TENTATIVE EVENT SCHEDULE the final event schedule, based on number entries per event, will be ed on to everyone on Friday 9/16 however, the starting time will not change. Within each age grouping, events will run OLDEST to YOUNGEST. Dr. Bob Sing, former Olympic javelin thrower and renowned javelin coach, will host a question and answer clinic following the under 20 age group competition. Discus Hammer Shot Put Javelin only Wt.
