2 On behalf of FISU, the International University Sports Federation, I am happy to welcome you at the FISU World Conference on Innovation-Education-Sport, which will be organised during the 2019 Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk. The upcoming Universiade will leave Krasnoyarsk with an important legacy of new world-class sports venues; will make the city more comfortable, modern and beautiful. In March 2019 the city will be filled with bright colors of the Universiade and the energy of thousands of student athletes from across the globe. Meanwhile, the uniqueness of the Universiade does not end with that. For many years FISU has been organising World Conferences along with the Universiades. These events bring together key representatives of the sports science and sports community to discuss the most relevant issues of university sports. The participants best innovative practices will form the basis for the sustainable development of winter sports and creation of new sports projects. The WU will take place in the very heart of Siberia, in the city of Krasnoyarsk. 4 FISU WORLD CONFERENCE March 5-7, 2019 The major international scientific event will be held in Krasnoyarsk alongside with the Winter Universiade The aim of the Conference is to acquaint sports academic community representatives with scientific advances in the field of sport, including educational technologies used in athletes training as well as innovative programmes for organization of major sports events. The FISU World Conference is an opportunity for young generation of sports researchers to discuss new ideas, to arrange projects/cooperative efforts in the area of sports science related to innovations. In addition to plenary, parallel and poster sessions, an Innovations Expo and round tables will be held. The Conference participants will also have the opportunity to attend the sports events and to take part in the cultural programme.
