3 Tracking deployment status with the PBN Approach Map tool Deployed in June 2012 Coverage of the map is currently ECAC (scope extention?) The map is regularly updated according to : Stakeholders inputs (RAISG and PBN TF), ICAO yearly surveys (updates to ICAO ANP documents CNS 4b table) Aeronautical Information publications (AIS websites and EAD content) Interim Deployment Programme (IDP) inputs LSSIP team inputs (NAV 10 objective), Information shared by ESSP concerning EGNOS-based information. data houses inputs whenever this is possible Would a closer link with national AIS providers be useful and feasible? 12 Upgraded PBN Approach Map tool (summer 2014) Information about the availability of Precision Landing operations at airports (any Cat I to Cat III operations) will be captured Availability of vertically guided approaches (so called 3D, including LPV, LNAV/VNAV, AR and Precision Landing) at instrument runway s will be available in Statistics The tool will capture the notion of an approach type that would be impossible to be published at a runway The tool will allow to export Statistics in tabular form 12

19 The Filters (approach types) Show status of implementation of: the different types of RNP APCH (LNAV, LNAV/VNAV, LPV, LP) and also of RNP AR APCH : Two «aggregated types» : APV: APV SBAS OR APV Baro «Any type»: LNAV, LNAV/VNAV, LPV, LP OR AR 19

20 The Filters (actual publication vs plans - airport colour code) For one type of approach selected (LNAV, LNAV/VNAV, LPV, LP or AR), an airport is given a colour on the map Colour deps on status of implementation at IFR runway s Green : all runway s are «covered» Approach type is «fully implemented» at the airport Blue: at least one runway is «covered» Approach type is «partially implemented at the airport Orange: no publication yet, but at least one is planned Approach type is «planned» 20

21 The Filters (seaching function) Use this searching function if you are looking for: Specific airports using: any part of the airports full name (e.g. «Paris») ICAO codes (e.g. any airport with «LF» letters or the airport with a specific 4 letters code) IATA code (if one exists) Search results of visible on the Map & in the «Airport List»: 21

22 Map view (status at a given date) Choose a date (implementation status as of today i.e or according to plans i.e 2016) «Status in 2016» = «status on 1st JAN 2016» Press the «Update» button Update button 22

23 Map view (airport labels and zoom) Choose the labels for airports (None, Airport Name, ICAO code or both) Zoom in Double click with the mouse, or Press SHIFT + click and drag with the mouse Zoom out CTRL + double click with the mouse Hide the Filters and Airport list with this button: Airport labels 23

24 View Airport details Access airport details information by «double clicking» on the airport in the Map or from the «Airport list» One line per Instrument runway One column for each approach type «Status» & «year» for each approach type («Impl.» - for Implemented - or «Planned») 24

26 The Statistics (2/2) The graph shows the evolution of the deployment with time. When holding the mouse over any part of the graph view the number of runway s where the «approach type» is Implemented (green area) or planned to be implemented (orange area) In the examples here: runway s have an APV today (2013). This represents 15% of the total number of instrument rwy s in ECAC (1501 rwy s) runway s are planned to be covered by APV (30% of the total number of runway s) - according to plans, there should be 639 rwy s (42% of the total number of rwy s) covered by APV in early
