8 FAMILY OLYMPICS CHECKLIST Here's a checklist of fun outdoor activities your whole family can do this summer see how many you can do before the Olympics are over. Try the bronze, silver or gold level for each category! CHECK OFF AS COMPLETED GOLD SILVER BRONZE SWIMMING Learn a new swim stroke or how to dive (with the help of an adult!) Have a cannonball! contest. Go swimming at a local pool or lake. SOCCER Invite friends over for a game at your house or a local park. Have a shootout and try to score as many goals as possible in 60 seconds with no goalie! Play a pick-up game with your family in the backyard. BASKETBALL Play a first- team-to-10- points game with your family. Play a rousing game of HORSE. Practice your layups for 10 minutes. GYMNASTICS Use a piece of yarn or string to make your own balance beam on the ground. Practice your handstands in the backyard (only on soft grass!) Everybody do the log roll! TRACK AND FIELD Have a foot race! Who s the fastest in your family? Everyone line up in a straight line and on the count of 3 jump as far as you can. Use soccer balls and other balls to make your own hurdles course in the backyard.
