2 INVITATION Dear Mr President, On behalf of the Taekwondo Federation of Latvia, I am honored to invite you and your National Team athletes to participate in the 20 th ETU European Junior Taekwondo Championships which will be held in Daugavpils, from 22 until 25 of October We are certain that you will enjoy the Championships since we will provide and arrange the best welcome, organization and competition on the highest level. QUALIFICATIONS CRITERION #1: Holder of the nationality of the participating team. CRITERION #2: An athlete must be nominated by the pertinent national taekwondo association that is recognized by the European Taekwondo Union and by their NOC.

4 CRITERION #3: Holder of the Kukkiwon Poom or Dan Certificate (* A copy of the Dan certificate should be enclosed when registering for accreditation. In case a contestant has applied for a Kukkiwon Dan certificate but has not received it yet, a copy of the Dan application form and the remittance certificate sent to the Kukkiwon must be enclosed when registering for accreditation. Please refer to the Kukkiwon Web site: for more information.) CRITERION #4: WTF Global License is mandatory for all athletes and Officials, ETU Coach Card is mandatory for coaches CRITERION #5: JUNIORS: An athlete must be born in 1998, 1999 and All competitors have to prove their age by presenting their passport or identification card at the weigh-in. For those athletes that are not adults must submit along with passport a written consent (please find enclosed at the last pages) at registration signed by parents or lawful guardians, accepting their participation and all parts of the official invitation. Membership from the MNA will be controlled by the Organization. Junior Male & Female/ one contestant per weight category. 5 PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT & UNIFORM The participants shall wear the WTF recognized Taekwondo Uniform. Daedo PSS and sensing Head gears will be used at this Tournament and will be provided by the OC. All athletes must bring their own Daedo sensor socks. Groin/Forearm/shin guards and Gloves are compulsory and must be brought by the contestants. Mouth piece is compulsory (only white or transparent). REFEREES Only International Referees will be accepted. An official invitation for the referees will be sent by the ETU Referee Chairman. 6 DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: AT LATEST October 10, 2015 Entries and/or changes after deadline will not be accepted. Please upload the photos of competitors and officials. Important: If the athlete registered on-line does not take part in the competition for some reason, but he/she has not been removed from the list of participants before the dead line (10 th October, 2015) his/her team officially must fully (100%) pay his/her entry fee for participation. ENTRY FEE: (Euro) for each Contestant The Entry Fees must be paid in EURO S and please have in mind that it is your responsibility to arrange any additional payment on currency or bank charges. If there are any additional charges on the account of the European Taekwondo Union then it should be paid by cash during the registration. All payments must be done by the team (individual payments are not allowed). Please refer the name of your nation in the description of payment and send it to taekwondoetu@gmail.com. 7 DAEDO Electronic Body Protectors and sensing head gears will be provided by the OC, for all the competitors, Only WTF approved equipment will be allowed to use in this tournament (even dobok etc.), Groin/forearm/shin guards and gloves are compulsory and must be brought by the contestants, Mouth piece is compulsory! (White or transparent), All the players must bring their own full equipment except body protector, Only competitors and coaches have admittance to the field of play, Coaching is only allowed in sportswear, All coaches must be 18 years or older, First Aid will be provided by the organization and is only to be used in case of an Emergency. All Coaches- Trainers must be holders of the ETU License (granted by ETU Coaches Seminars) Coaches- trainers who are participating in the Tournament without ETU Coach License will have to pay a fine of 200 euros in the registration desk to ETU Official INSURANCE The organization and supervisor assume no responsibility for teams, any damages, violence, loses and injures during the stay in LATVIA, All contestants must bring their own documents and forms for any medical treatment in LATVIA. If not, this will have to be paid cash. CLASSIFICATION OF RESULTS Individual Awards Medals will be awarded to the top four athletes in the respective classifications and weight divisions of the pertinent championships: 1st PLACE 2nd PLACE 3rd PLACE 3rd PLACE GOLD MEDAL & CERTIFICATE SILVER MEDAL & CERTIFICATE BRONZE MEDAL & CERTIFICATE BRONZE MEDAL & CERTIFICATE The 3 first ranked teams (female, male and in total will each get trophy). The ranking position of the teams will be decided by the Olympic System. All contestants and team officials participating in the European Championships will receive a certificate of participation.

8 HEAD OF TEAM MEETING & DRAWING OF LOTS SESSION The head of team meeting and the drawing of lots session shall be conducted on October, 21, 2015, in the presence of OC and the representatives of the participating National Teams. WEIGH-IN Weigh-in of the contestants shall be completed one day before their scheduled competition day, During the weigh-in, male contestants shall wear underpants and female contestants shall wear underpants and brassieres. However, contestants may weigh-in in the nude if they want to do so. INDEMNITIES The respective MNA shall be responsible for ensuring that their participants have validly completed and signed the official participation forms, thus indemnifying the organizers, its officials and other contestants from any claims of injuries, losses, fatalities or otherwise arising in the course of participation in this tournament or any activities thereto, The respective MNA shall be responsible for ensuring that all officials and participants are covered with effective insurance coverage, Participants without proper participation entry forms and effective insurance coverage will not be allowed to compete at the championships, The Organizing Committee will acquire general insurance, at its own expenses, for all participants of the tournament, including but not limited to contestants and staffs, in the event of any injury and/or damages that may arise during the course of the championships. MEDICAL CONTROL Use of drugs or doping by any chemical substances prescribed in the WTF Regulations for Doping Control is strongly prohibited. The ETU will carry out medical doping test among the winners at random sampling and any winner who refuses to undergo the testing or who proves to have committed a breach of the regulations for Doping Control shall be removed from the final standings, and a disciplinary action will be taken.
